Cool spot with lots of selection, however it does have a musty smell. The cat, that they have scratched my friends daughter when she tried petting it

The guys there are super kind and helpful I came in to play yugioh on the wrong day and they gave me 2 ots packs for free.

I did buy games with a online game disc but sadly it did not work but the other disc work would given it 5 stars but it did not work so i give 4 stars all of other games work

Find The guy That works there incredibly lazy. Great place to go if you would like to pay way over eBay prices and like to be waited on by a guy who walks around barefoot.

As an avid game collector; I cannot recommend this store UNLESS you have money to burn. I don't mind searching through the mess to find a gem but there are two huge red flags.
(1) Nothing is priced. I have a feeling he just makes up the prices.
(2) Prices are unreasonably high. Doesn't matter what you are trying to buy (DVD from 1988, Board Game from the 70s, Video Game from 2002, Etc.) Good luck trying to find anything under $15.
It seems the focus of this business is to prey on folks that don't know the value of products.
The owner seems like a decent guy so I gave a star for that.

I dont know how someone who has been in business for so long has to look up the price of every item brought to him on ebay. All he wants to do is nickle and dime his customers to death offering very unfair pricing. Not very knowledgeable at all. No idea how this place is still in business. Not to mention he tried ti charge a lady 400 dollars for a PS4 when we were in.

The owner is always awesome, and great atmosphere. My mom and brother brother took me here and a I've been going ever since. My most recent awesome find here was this amazing pop figure.

I live in Halifax. I called and asked if they had a game. They did, buddy wouldn't shut up about it being "mint condition". It wasn't, but it wasn't terrible. Said a price that was way over anywhere else, but I thought for convenience sake I'd buy it, rather than wait for it in the mail. Drove from Halifax to get it, and didn't realize til after I went back to Halifax he tacked on another $20. Even after mentioning the price he said on the phone once I arrived. That along with pretentious attitudes, and not having the stones to label prices on their inventory, I won't be back. Support local, unless it's these guys.

Love the idea and really like to support local stores, but everything here is overpriced. Video games do not have price tags and are looked up online to purchase. A $25 loose game was quoted as $60, yikes.

Owner is very chatty (in a good way) and likes to actually talk about trends and hobbies and makes you feel better than just going into a place scanning your item and leaving. He was friendly and informative. Would recommend this place if you're in the area.

It's a amazing place to get games, boardgames and card games and they won't oversell you on anything like eb games another good thing is they actually have a mind unlike EB Games employees so you can actually have a good conversation

This store is the best place to get games and consoles of every generation. The owner is extremely helpful if you have any questions about anything gaming related. Highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you love older games!

Disrespectful, swearing in front of children, judgemental. This was our 3 minute interaction with the staff in this store. We wont be back.

Very unclean store. Smell is comparable to cat spray!
Staff was very rude and abrupt.
Did NOT explain return/refund or exchange policy. Went back after my item did not work and could not get refunded. Only instore credit or replacement. I didnt want to deal with the store again therefore didnt want a credit nor a replacement as it may not have worked either.
Was refused a refund.
Still trying to rid my nasal passages of the smell!

Positive:
1. Lots of stock. Especially if you like Funkos.
2. Friendly staff. Very talkative.
Negative:
1. Nothing priced. Had to ask the guy working. And he had to check the price each time. After the first two items, I was done asking. It was too much effort than looking at a price sticker and it made me feel like I was wanting to pursue a sale with the clerk.
2. Prices were high. Where he had to check I am assuming he is going online to check. He had a phone on a lanyard around his neck. Things will not move easily that way. I am an experienced buyer of games so I know the approximate value going in and the prices were what is seen on eBay or Amazon. The prices were very highly inflated which lost my sale quickly. Even though there were items I was actively looking for.
3. The counter was incredibly cluttered as was behind the store. I don't even remember seeing the cash register or if they used internet payment (see 2 as to why I did not buy). The Funkos were all spread out on tables and along the walls. No indication if they were rare or not (I know once again the approximately value and the ones I had checked were overpriced and since I am not a collector I am not wasting my money even as a gift).
4. What was that smell in there? It was awful. Like cat urine everywhere. It was overpowering. After about 10 minutes, it was bearable but still it could not be healthy with that awful stench. Another reason I was worried about buying as I was concerned I would bring a hint of the odor with me. If there is an issue, the landlord should have put up a notice on the door as it could have been dangerous to those with breathing problems. (I purposefully kept this to last out of consideration as most will never read this far and hopefully the odor issue has been rectified).

I love board games and was excited to here about one in the valley, but was disappointed. The place was very cluttered and felt like I was in someone's messy basement. There wasn't even space to put my purchase on the counter. The staff isn't the greatest, I felt like I was an intrusion, and there are no prices on the games so you are forced to ask the price for every game, which are really over priced.

Lots and lots of games and a ton of Funko pops. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even offered to special order items they didn't have in store.

Probably the #1 store in Nova Scotia for rare & exclusive Funko pop's, I regularly travel down from Halifax just to see what Funkos Matt has in, great selection of retro video games and MTG as well, a lot to look at with a little something for everyone.

Looking to trade in games or consoles? Don't go here offers are worse than eb. I usually like to support local business rather than big companies but in this case I'll just stick to Eb.

I have to leave Halifax to find stuff this store has. No one has such a weird and abundant selection.

It's nice for games, but beware of buying consoles here. Could've gotten my GameCube for a LOT less when it comes to bundling it with cables, the controller, etc. Easily an expensive but decent store to go to if you have a Lot of money.

The place has a lot of potential but unfortunately it is a bit run down. Nothing in the store is priced, they have to look online for the value and you would find yourself paying a premium. I am a pop collector and when i went there they are using some app to price then which doesn't reflect the actual MSRP. The owner seems knowledgable but the young fella that works there seems useless.

Matt runs a great shop. Well stocked in all aspects of gaming and hosts regular weekly and monthly events for card games of all kinds, Warhammer, Flames of War, and RPG's. Lots of room for multiple games going on at once. Minimum 2,3 if needed, 6X4 wargame tables up front. Make fun of the guys walking into Doolies as they walk by the front window making fun of us pushing our toy soldiers around! Tons of video games and geek culture stuff as well. Buys and sells a wide range. If he doesn't have it, he can find it.

This is the kind of hobby shop that I remember as a kid! Lots of stock, several different types of games including video games and war games.
