I was considering selling my food distribution business and I hired Gateway to do a valuation.

I started receiving offers and eventually found someone who was a great fit. I feel like the business is in great hands and is on its way to new levels. I would recommend Gateway; Tim and his team are keen and professional.

Our business grew quickly to a size that we were no longer comfortable operating (large purchase orders, multiple staff, wholesale accounts across Canada, etc). We originally had our business listed with a realtor who not only did an inadequate job marketing the sale of our business (only getting one NDA signed in a month), but also significantly undervalued it. After that listing was terminated, we decided to reach out to Tim at Gateway. Initially we were hesitant about the up front evaluation fee (about $3000) but after learning that this fee came off the final commission price, we decided to pull the trigger. Gateways evaluation of our company was EXTREMELY thorough (took about two weeks) … their financial analyst, Ryan, asked for tons of documents and went through everything with a fine tooth comb and came up with a final number that was approximately 10% higher that what our first realtor had valued the business at. Once the business was on the market, we received multiple offers and accepted an offer within the first week. Based on Tims guidance, we ended up accepting a lower offer with less conditions (financing, etc) that he felt had a stronger potential of closing with new owners that we were told had the background and experience to to take our business to the next level. We felt comfortable that our business was going to the right people and even the “low” offer that we accepted was still $35,000 higher that what our original Realtor had valued our business at. Everything went smoothly and the sale of our business was closed in 60 days. The bottom line is that Tim got us more money for our business than we had originally thought it was worth, helped us identify a strong buyer who had the experience and financial backing to take our business to the next level (this was very important to us) 2, and closed the sale of our business in record time. We highly recommend Gateway business brokers and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Not sincere at all. His listings haven’t ever listed in the realtor.ca but only his website. He is only interested in a dual agency but not fairly work for buyer. Be careful working with him for unfaithful working ethics. You might surprise at the hidden prices unlike actual listing price.

Tim, I said “don’t send me your advertisement any more”. But you continuously emailed me about the crazy listing. That’s why I told you “1M to buy”. Actually I was not interested in that kind of things. Please do not send me any email or listing information. Stop!
