GERRISH & GRAY CAFE

Love this place! Great food, great beverages, great atmosphere and service. A perfect addition to Windsor!

This place is a can't-miss. I highly recommend this place for everyone, it is a place where all are embraced and the staff are amazing.

Great local valley coffee and food here is so good. Food and specialty coffees are outlandishly expensive however excellent quality.

Sweet location in Windsor, best sticky buns in the valley and a lovely Lavendar London Fog

Food took forever even though there were only a few tables, eggs Benny were overcooked as well as the home fries. Bills aren't printed out so they gave me a total that was 10$ more than what I ordered. Staff was friendly and atmosphere is lovely, but food wasn't worth it.

Enjoy coming here for the lavender fog. It’s a great place to treat yourself every once and a while. Also enjoy having a place to come read.

We had a fantastic experience last Sunday at Gerrish & Gray. The food, atmosphere, and service were top notch and their team took care of a few special requests we made like total pro's. Exceptional all the way around. We will be back for sure.

What a delight! The day before we popped in for coffee & cake, and were so impressed we came back for brunch. I ordered sausage gravy & biscuits (with egg) & hubbie ordered fried brussel sprouts with nuts, as both these sounded unusual. (Biscuits are cookies in the UK)
Both were rich, flavoursome and delicious, and it seems the biscuits are similar to what we’d call scones back home. Also the gravy was more like what we’d call a sauce: spicy and tasty. (Gravy would be made from stock in the UK - this was creamy and spicy)

The cafe itself is light and airy in spite of being painted charcoal black, with one side opening to the street.

Coffee was so good, we bought a bag to take away…

I love the decor. I love the service. I'm still dreaming about the smoked pork tacos. I've been coming here for a few months and I'm sure I'll be there again this week. I hope this place is around for years to come. It's exactly what Windsor needs.

Atmosphere, food quality & delivery of our Saturday brunch was excellent Celiac creates difficulty when considering eating out. Our hostess/server reassured that my choice from menu was 100% GF. Coffee was very good and vegan eggs Benedict was not only presented well it tasted as good as it looked. Fresh greens without nasty brown leaves & fresh, delicious fruit. Most other restaurants see no issue in serving wilted greens & sub par fruit that is not the case at Gerrish and Gray. Definitely worth the drive to Windsor.

Decided to take my family there for mother’s day, once we got there, we stood at the door for a few minutes to be greeted and sat down but the workers just ignored us, so we sat ourselves down, not knowing they closed at 3 and it was 2: 30. But yet, servers continued to walk by us without informing us they closed soon or offering if we were ordering anything small like coffee. As we sat there for atleast 15 minutes, we grew frustrated that we still haven’t been even greeted.so we left.definitely will not be back. Great mother’s day…. Thanks gerrish and grey.

Great coffee, good atmosphere and friendly service. The apple turnover was just right with lots of apple, crusty pastry and not too sweet. Perfect

Had an extra charge of $3 for coffee refill while waiting for our meal, that was on top of $3.50, so we paid $7.50 for coffee. Over the top and won’t be back. Poor value for the meal!

I feel like all I do is give five-star reviews, but there are so many wonderful places to visit in Nova Scotia. This was the first time I've ordered anything to eat at Gerrish & Gray and I have to say it's a delightful cafe and the food is scrumptious. Staff too were very accommodating and attentive as we arrived during the busy brunch crowd on a Sunday and they quickly made space for us without having reservations, but these are recommended.

I ordered an Americano decaf, double espresso, and it was spot on - rich, strong and smooth (expected in a cafe, but this was extra tasty.and I've had a lot of Americanos). I also had the warm Kale salad. What a treat that was! Delicious! And a good serving portion with a nice amount of dressing (not goopy). My daughter and good friend had the French toast (Challah bread) with Oulton's bacon. We're talking serious bacon, folks. It was nice and crispy - no limp bacon here - and nice thick pieces that appeared twice as long as regular bacon. The bread too was extra thick and came with a yummy blueberry sauce. My brunch mates also had a latte and a lavender fog. Both said they were fab and they had seconds.

Upon leaving I grabbed a butter tart to go. I tried it at home. Best butter tart ever. It didn't have nuts, but I'm ok with that. The filling was exactly as I like it, a little brown sugar grainy.

Atmosphere is also nice as there are windows all around for light and outside gazing. Bathrooms also have high ceilings with cool lights (and grab bars by the loo if you're out with older parents or grandparents!). Neat mosaic floor tiles. You must try this place.

Being a fan of Earl Grey tea, the name stood out to me in my quick search for a café in Windsor - I’m so pleased I walked in when I did!

I had a couple of delightful conversations with the staff, the Lavender Fog is extraordinary, and most importantly, I walked out smiling (and will be back for another).

Ended up here by chance, without reading any reviews. Pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Hip interior with many interesting touches, like the roll up garage doors.

There are very friendly and not so friendly staff members. I like going there. The place looks good.

This is my new favorite cafe to visit when I feel like leaving town to get a change of scenery (if I lived in Windsor, I'd go all the time). The staff are very friendly and the place has a great atmosphere. Also - on Fridays and Saturdays (at the time of writing this review) it turns into a restaurant with table service in the evening! My friends and I both had the chicken dinner gnocchi and had to go back a second time just in case the menu changes because it was so good. If you like good food and good coffee, you need to go here!

This place is amazing. I've only had their lattes, coffe and tea but it's all delicious, and while the prices can be high, it's definetly worth the price. The service is wonderful, the atmosphere is nice and cozy, and I highly highly recommend going here: D

Went for lunch and would recommend the chowder! Also great cappuccinos and service. Will be back when visiting again.

This is just what Windsor needed! Offering deliciously simple food options and hot drinks as well as local crafted wines, ciders, etc, The space is welcoming and cozy and is already becoming a favourite meeting and eating spot in just its first few weeks in operation.

Update: After a day in the Valley and on our way back to the city we decided to pop in to check out their evening supper specials when the cafe switches to a restaurant. We are SO HAPPY we did! We both had the Chicken Dinner Gnocchi with green beans and croissant croutons and it was heavenly! We also ordered the dessert special to share which was equally amazing - a hazelnut-y, chocolate-y masterpiece. I ordered the Wings & Pickles to go for my partner who was at home and he loved it too (tossed in a hot Valentina sauce and the homemade dill pickles were brined with peppers too, I suspect). Definitely add Gerrish & Gray to your must-dine list in Nova Scotia!

Great new spot in Windsor! I often come to work. Amazing pastries and scones are some of the best anywhere! Staff are always friendly and service is excellent. Occasional slight inconsistency with the coffee but I am guessing that is just because they are new. Definitely a must if you are in Windsor.

A great place for anyone except it does have a very very small menu which makes it difficult for anyone whose diet is restristed in any way.

Amazing place! The food was delicious, try the scallops, the best I ever had. Coffee and dessert was the perfect ending to a wonderful experience. I can’t wait to go back.

What an amazing experience we had! They have the best flatbread around. I’d go back again just for that. Then there is dessert. It doesn’t get any better.

The service matches the food for quality and the setting is pretty great as well.

We can’t wait to go back.

Every dish that came out of the kitchen looked so good. My mouth was watering before my food even arrived.
