Gingerbread House Inn

Had a wonderful stay in the Gaspereau Suite. The room was clean and comfortable, great customer service from Mike. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely Inn. Service was great. The space was clean and uncluttered. The soaker jacuzzi was lovely. Location is great and walking distance to the theatre and lots of great restaurants.

Great hospitality, lots of little things that went beyond our expectations. Would absolutely stay here again.

Was very pleased with my overall experience in the Victorian room, the room was beautiful and clean, they even left me some wonderful hot tea!

Would most definitely come again!

Michelle was a bright and pleasant person! She was so helpful and couldn't ask for a more cheerful person to bring breakfast, which was fabulous! Our room was perfect right down to the rose petals and candles upon our arrival.

Absolutely beautiul inside.beautiful outside and amazing location. Manager Mike is super nice and very sweet! Even gave us free homemade lemonade!

We booked the Port Williams room and unfortunately the moldy/musty smell made it uninhabitable for us. Extremely poor air quality. I emailed Mike to advise him that we were not staying and to cancel our breakfast.

When communicating with Mike the next day, he said he didn't realize we weren't going to use the room at all. I said the room was uninhabitable due to the smell and asked for at least a portion of our money back. After some time he came back to me and said that he inspected the room and indeed the filter on the air purifier needed changing BUT because I didn't tell him in time he would refund no money. He felt that if I had told him sooner he could have rented the room. Our take is that they had the opportunity to make sure the room was up to par BEFORE we arrived.

An act of good faith would have been to reimburse us for at least the breakfast portion.

Other than this unfortunate experience and waste of money, the property is second rate at best and not the quaint Gingerbread House as advertised.

Convenient location in beautiful Wolfville. Very clean quiet room, comfy bed, nicely decorated. It's a totally contactless b&b, except for the very delicious breakfast delivery to your room, which for me personally loses a bit of the charm & reason for staying at a b&b. I enjoy meeting & socializing with the owners and other guests to get local travel tips, etc. That being said, I recommend staying here for the location, great price for the very nice accommodations and delicious breakfast served by the friendliest gal who's also the cook!

We were so pleased with the cooperation of the team here at the gingerbread house to accommodate my fiancé and I last minute.

Although we were so thankful, we were a bit disappointed with our stay. When we arrived the jacuzzi had been left on so when we opened it, it was at 107° and too hot to use for a few hours. Our room heat pump did not work for AC. Our bed sheets had no constriction left in them and continued to come off all night long, leaving us to sleep directly on the mattress. We went to fill up our ice bucket in the evening and the ice maker was empty. And we were really unimpressed with our complimentary breakfast. By the time we received it, it was really just a cold soggy bagel. We opted to visit a local restaurant!

If we were to return, we would opt to stay in a room which looks to be more newly renovated.

My husband and I recently spent the night in the L'Acadie Room. Very clean and well stocked with everything you need! Smart TV, large shower, kitchenette, comfy bed and nice little patio! Highly recommended!

Stayed here with my family for a weekend. The staff/owner were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The property was close to everything in Town.

Stayed for 2 nights and was very pleased with the room, however the wifi is slow at best and the complimentary breakfast was less then enjoyable.

A few friends planned a last-minute night away for a quiet, relaxing evening. This adorable B&B was a hit. Everything we had hoped for. The owners were more than accommodating, with great service above and beyond! 5

Easy contactless check in/out, clear and helpful communication about access, parking, and breakfast (which was included and delivered to your room at a time of your choosing - what a great touch!). We stayed in the Annapolis Room which was spacious and charming, and included a hot tub - everything was clean and ready for our arrival, including warm, soft robes, and instruction on the hot tub use were readily available and easy to follow. The location is just past Acadia University, making everything downtown very accessible, while keeping the property itself private and quiet. We enjoyed some time after our evening out by the fire pit, taking in the silence and the stars. Overall, very much enjoyed our stay and will be returning. Thank you!

Great location close to downtown. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Super friendly staff. Loved that the breakfast was brought to our room. Would definitely go again and would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend a few days in the valley. We had th L'Acadie room but next time will probably try a higher end room.

Breakfast was brought right to our room.
Loved the renovations done since our stay last year. They added a lot of charm to the room.
It was nice to be able to communicate with the staff via text when an issue arose with our hot tub and they were able to fix it with no problems.
The only thing I would add is that check-in and check-out times be extended so we could enjoy more time in the beautiful room.
Look forward to our next trip!

This was my second time staying at the Gingerbread House Inn. Had a great time. We were in the Gaspereau Suite and it was amazing! So comfortable and spacious. Everything we needed was there and the breakfast in the morning was on time and delicious! The location is close to so many great places in Wolfville!

All you could ask for and more. Hot tub fireplace. Very clean large rooms. Friendly staff!

I stayed here for a night while attending a wedding at a nearby winery, and the accomodations were perfect! The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Having breakfast delivered the next morning was so lovely! Highly recommend staying here and will certainly be staying again in the future.

The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms (there was even a tv by the bed site to watch all your favorite shows while you're at you bed), and high-quality services. I liked the automated power blinds and the reclining king bed with the massage. The kitchen has everything you can imagine. The coffee is the best. OMG Just Us coffee. I had a wonderful experience at the Carriage House. I stayed from October 25th to November 4th, 2022. Every staff member I encountered were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues!

Clean, spacious, comfortable. Nice to have a choice of breakfasts included. Great value. I would definitely recommend the Gingerbread House B&B!

3.75 stars. It's fine. The AC worked great on a 96 degree day. The room was clean and roomy. Shower was good. Bed was not comfortable. No front desk or communal space where you can find info or bottled water or anything like that. No local info in the room. Apparently it's all on their website but I didn't bother with it. Breakfast brought to the room was fine. It was all just ok and fine for one night.

This was a beautiful, charming and quiet spot! The cleanliness was superb! The food options were both diverse and delicious. The room was stocked with some home made lemonade in the fridge, which was a lovely touch:) The coffee was so great we went out of our way to pick up a bag from the roaster on our way out of town. This B&B is walking distance from downtown Wolfville and central to most things in the area. I also loved how seamless check in and check out was.
The only three recommendations I have are fairly simple ones: the rooms don't have Kleenex, pen and paper, or wine/bottle openers in them. If you're someone who tends to use those a lot, this B&B does not have them (unlike hotels) so make sure you bring some of your own.
I would love to come back here again, and will be recommending it to family and friends!

We enjoyed our stay at the Gingerbread House. The customer service was excellent and there were a lot of good choices for breakfast. Our room was clean and the location was very convenient.

Stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon. Nothing but great things to say. Room was super clean. The owners were great from arriving and till we left. Breakfast was amazing. Would differently stay here again

Beautiful location, very clean room and great staff. My husband and I have been coming here for a few years for our annual night away and will be back next year! Thank you to the staff for making it very easy to book, check in and enjoy every minute. The breakfast was the icing on the cake:)
