Glooscap Park Campground

Glooscap Park is very beautiful and quiet. It is well manicured and a great spot overlooking the water. I was travelling with a friend so we booked 2 sites for our trailers for 6 days. Judy was very accommodating the night we arrived as it was 10 pm. We had expected to arrive by 8 pm, but the amount of construction on the roads delayed our arrival since we were both towing 25' travel trailers. We stayed one night and determined that we would need to go through the construction zones and detours every day when we would go out for the day sightseeing. We also discovered that the campground did not have potable water. We decided we needed to move to a camp that was surrounded by construction and closer to the areas we would be travelling to. When we received our refund we were surprised to find that only 2 of the 5 days remaining on our reservation had been refunded. I realize that there must be a cancellation policy, but had we known there was so much construction in the area, we would not have booked Glooscap for 6 nights. Beware of Glooscap Park Campground if you try to change your plans.

This is a beautiful campground and good proximity to a litany of great things to see. Parrsboro is a cute quaint town as well. My complaint is with the customer service experience. We arrived at a time that it had been raining for 5-6 days in a row. After a long day of driving we arrived and we’re told that our reserved site was a grassy site and it was flooded. Based on this we were faced with either moving on when we were already tired or going to an alternate site. The entire reason we opted to book here was because of site 54 where we were hoping to relax for a few days. Of the two bad choices we chose to stay and parked in an alternate site and proceeded to work on our schedule. Since we weren’t able to get the site we wanted we didn’t want to stay the full time. We were very up front with Judy that we likely would be leaving early and we did leave two days early. Based on discussions with Judy and the circumstances of our stay we fully anticipated no problem with a refund for the two days we did not stay. I called to ask about the refund which had not been applied and Judy quoted chapter and verse of the refund policy on their website and refused to accommodate our refund request, Pretty shocking given the fact she didn’t even call us ahead of our arrival to let us know of the problems with our chosen site. If she had we almost certainly would have altered our plans. As stated this is a great location for views but the customer service demonstrated was abysmal. Be careful.

Loved this campground. The host was awesome and talked with us. I would highly recommend this campground. We enjoyed ourselves and it was a very pleasant experience and peaceful campground.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Some nicer washrooms would've made the stay even better.

Camping review. Been here many times, as discussed in many reviews - the thing that would put this CG into amazing is
1. Add full-service sites.
2. Get rid of those gross, outhouses.
3. Having said that - well worth the stay
