Great facility, with kind and friendly staff. I Love the layout and the open concept. This gym has everything you need. I highly recommend.

Would be really appreciated if you guys can make temperature in men's sauna higher. To be honest 90C doesn't seem enough to sweat after gym. I was in YMCA and Nordic Spa and after their sauna you feel fully recover and fresh by sweating hard.
I hope staff can hear me somehow!

Been going to this gym for 10+ years. Staff are incredibly friendly and the place is very clean. The recent renovations are also stunning - it is the nicest GoodLife in the city.

Would give four stars, but unfortunately because this location is so underground, cell service is sometimes not at all, depending on where you are in the gym. If your on the top floor of the cardio are, closest to the exterior windows facing Dresden Row then yes, you'll get full service, otherwise, it can be frustrating if your streaming online qhile working out. Plan your offline audio/entertainment while working out here. Great location, wish there was a small bathroom on the second floor so you don't have to go all the way down into the changerooms to use the can. Love that Penhorn &, Joe Howe have the extra bathroom. Unfortunately, those gyms are always an additional 30-40mins travel as I live in the south end. Which is why I usually frequent either Park Lane or Barrington St locations. Would also LOVE to see more locations accommodate the tanning package. I HAVE to travel to either Penhorn or Joe Howe locations if I wish to tan. I'm sure they could invest and just make the room. Bet a lot more ppl would take advantage too.
Anyway I love Goodlife gyms. For me, since 2015.

This place has the most well trained stuff and manager, a lot of hided policy, once you have any questions you always told policy policy, when I try to cancel my membership they told me the policy is we can’t cancel it now and instead we could put it on hold for 6 months and then you can decide if you want to cancel it. After 6 month, they took 2 payments from my account without notification, then I called again now they are telling me the policy is I need to give them 2 weeks notice before I cancel my membership which means I need to pay another payment coming on July 9th, they can’t do anything on the upcoming payment. What a ridiculous experience, why they can’t cancel my membership 6 month ago when I firstly ask for that, you guys told me the policy back then, Now when I ask them why I was told I can’t cancel 6 months ago because the policy, if you could cancel it at that time now I don’t have to make 3 payments which I never used. Well, their answer is you may be suggested to put on hold back then. Wow, what a smart concept exchange, now I was suggested in stead of “policy”. I don’t know how many unknown Goodlife policy they have, but be careful about their “policy “ and “suggestion “. I don’t know if Goodlife will ever make your life good but definitely make your day bad. Be careful when you sign up otherwise you don’t know how many hidden policies are waiting for you. Stay away from Goodlife and will make your life good.

This gym is incredibly packed all the time. Even during slow hours you'll find yourself just unable to complete the workout you want or at least be massively delayed while you feel the pre-workout slip out of our system. Honestly the worst goodlife I've been to by far

Changing rooms are clean and organized and the group fitness room was well spaced apart to allow for distancing. All the staff I encountered here were friendly and helpful. My only real complaint are the yoga mats. They're old, falling apart, and quite smelly. Investing in better quality ones would go a long way.

Dang does good life give awards because the brunette who sold me my membership needs one her name starts with a C can’t remember she didn’t have a name tag but that girl is amazing

Parklane has the best looking staff compared to the barrington location parklanes staff is filled with a group of really good looking people and every staff member I know or I’ve interacted with except one or two has been incredible! So happy I joined this is my home gym wouldn’t have it any other way especially on those 6am mornings

Consider yourself warned watch out the weekend is here so gym bunny’s and gym rats be careful there’s a staff member here who’s super rude she kind of seems a little strung out she’s skinny and has brown hair anyways seen her last couple sundays avoid her at all cost actually maybe just wait till Monday for the all star team cuz the weekday people are a different kind of people there all stars

The smell in the man restroom is awful. And it's always the same. A mix of body odor and fecal matter on top of wet (moldy) environment. Apparently there's no possibility to get some air moving in this fungal room!

This is a pretty decent gym. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. Matt was especially helpful - he helped my friend and I develop goals and gave us an extensive tour. I would recommend this Goodlife to someone who is looking for a positive space to work out.

Despite the negative feedback I've read here, I had a positive experience with GoodLife Fitness in Park Lane. The staff was very kind and my personal trainer was one of a kind. Taking personal trainings has changed my life and it couldn't happen without my so professional and friendly personal trainer (whose name is Liam, I highly recommend him).

If I could change anything in the gym, that would be - cleaner bathrooms (which sometimes looked like the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster) and less stinky bathroom and locker room. Towels were sometimes unavailable too but overall I loved this club and would've stayed there longer if I could.

The staff are friendly, there's a lot of equipment and the place is well kept. Memberships can be pricey, so try to sign up when there's a discount. Also, if you're pretty new to working out, maybe get a personal trainer for like 4 sessions - they can be very accommodating to your fitness goals.

Personal trainer at park lane had an interview with me told me it would be thousands of dollars a year.over 2000$ in order to help me. I asked him repeatedly if there was a short term enrollment not just a year long one.he said over and over no.went to the ladies fitness on South park.she Informed me this was completely a big lie.that there was sign up for 7 sessions starter package and he was lying. Not cool.u know who you are.lie to make some money off me? I went with south park gym

Decent gym. Very little mat space for those of us that stretch and do exercises from our backs. TVs by treadmills rarely all working and headphone jacks don't seem to work. Roughly every third or fourth visit there are no clean towels and I have to loop back. Staff is friendly, facility and change rooms are clean, seems to be appropriately stocked with equipment for its size (imho)

Never ever go to this gym! They are just a FRAUD GANG! There was no one showing me the contact at the first place but giving me a piece of paper to sign on, no any information on cancellation to show to the customer. When I went in to cancel my personal training courses, I was informed to pay $850 plus tax as the “cancellation fee”. The manager asked me to give him a reason why I want to cancel with a STRONG ATTITUDE, or he WOULD NOT allow me to cancel it! And according to him this is their so-called “customer service”? ! PLUS he JUDGED that my life style is unhealthy and called my move a SILLY CHOICE? ! This is just rude and mean and totally UNACCEPTABLE! The manager claimed that the contract with all the information (including cancellation) was sent to me but I NEVER got it, and it turned out that the email address they had in the system was WRONG the whole time! I urge whoever is considering starting membership here to think twice, cuz this location is just not only doing body shaming but also providing the WORST customer experience you could ever ask for. I will avoid going to this gym by all means!

Love the new sqaut racks. They are nice. And the free wifi is excellent for listening to my spotify. But it would be awesome if you could maybe get a couple heavy bags. It's the best cardio workout. And the best bonus is it equipment ya dont gotta keep repairing

Usually crowded with less people to speak to you directly because of the training they do here. I much prefer the Barrington location over spring garden one. Something about the showers here make it less than the "best gym I Canada" if you heard of the barrington location. One separate reason this ones good tho, they have cardio upstairs with televisions, and a third floor too

Really like this branch.friendly staff at the door and vibes are good there.large enough so you have space for yourself and it is over like 3 floors which is good.also has few classes where you can attend or have vertual class

Worst fitness studio ever. They treat you like a bag of shiny cash walking around. When you talk to them, they make you feel guilty for not signing up, or buying their more expensive packages. I am a very humble and friendly person, and I have never felt this pressured or pushed this much by any fitness studio in my life.

The reason why they are so pushy is that they get paid on comission, and all they care about is getting their comission, even if that means forcing people to sign up.

If I could give it 0 starts I would. They are a shame to the fitness industry.

Good luck trying to cancel your membership! It's a nightmare! Goodlife does everything possible to delay the cancellation. Once I was on hold for so long that the call was automatically dropped. Then I was told that I could only cancel in person-which is a lie! I was told that I couldn't stop paying for my sister's membership, which was on the same account-also untrue! To top it all off, they won't retroactively cancel the membership, because they have no records of my phone calls!

This is unjust. Buyer beware! See all the other 1-star reviews!

If you go outside the rush hours, the gym is very good. Lots of weight racks and the staff is helpful, keeps things clean. When hot yoga is in session, the second floor can get quite hot. This location also has a sauna.

Never come to this gym, they will trick you into a one-year contract. I have been here for a year of personal courses, leaving only 4 private lessons, and then told me that if you don't have a member, you can't continue to attend classes here, so I want to continue for another month. But they only told me that paying once every two weeks did not tell the member that it must be a year. Let me sign without showing me any contract. When I want to retire, then told me that I need to pay 99 liquidated damages. So I spent 150 CAD for only one and a half weeks. It’s disgusting! !

千万不要来这家健身房，他们会欺骗你办一年的合约。我在这里上了一年的私教，只剩4节私教课，然后跟我说如果没有会员就无法继续在这里上课，所以我想再续一个月的会员。但是他们只告诉我说，每两个礼拜付一次钱却没有告诉会员必须是一个年的。 在没有让我看到任何合同的情况下让我签了字。等我想去退会员的时候告诉我需要交99的违约金。 所以我花了150刀只上了一个半礼拜的课。真恶心！！

Great staff, always friendly and helpful!
Started going to see Spencer Boyd for personal training sessions, and I'm seeing results, expanding my exercises, and feeling much more confident!
I recommend to anybody who wants to better their lifestyle to at least have a single session with Spencer to help set their goals and stay on track!

Being told the contract renews every two weeks and can be canceled anytime, but end up having 1 year contract. Totally scam

This place is without a doubt the worst gym and the biggest scam I have been involved with. As someone who has tried out several different gyms over the years this is by far the worst. This company will trick you into a contract which they promote as cheap and temporary but ends up being a contract for 1 year at $250 a week! On top of that, the personal trainers don't even train you while you exercise. Instead they're over in the corner chatting with the other trainers.

Absolute garbage and should not be a legal business. Please consider joining the dalplex or YMCA which are far better.

Great gym with friendly staff and well maintained equipment. Nicely located in downtown Halifax near parking and public transportation.
