I always find what I need, and the staff are helpful. Bridgewater would be a poorer place without Gows.

Mostly a 5 star. But this morning I called to have 4 u bolts ordered they did not have in stock. I was abruptly told we don't handle those here,
Item: #2407-414 Model: #BH-347807, and I can't order them for you.
I called Chester Home Hardware, they checked and asked how many I needed as there are plenty at the warehouse.

After looking around for Black Friday deals we chose Gow's. We ordered online for a dishwasher and a fridge. We received an email confirmation. By January We didn't here back so I stopped into the store to find out what was going on. I was rudely told we didn't order through them but we ordered through their online store? I showed them the confirmation email saying Gow's Home Hardware.

Then they said I'd cancelled the order? After talking to the manager I was told we'd get our stuff in early March. We got the dishwasher mid March and the fridge today. April 14.its a good thing we only wanted to update to a new fridge and didn't need a new fridge. We'll go elsewhere next time.

Friendly and helpful staff. Not always a lot of stock or variety but good quality products!

Customer service is excellent. Prices on prices are generally more expensive and can be found elsewhere for cheaper. If you’re searching for customer service and don’t mind a bit of a bump in price, this is the place to go.

Great store, really large and carries a bit of everything. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

The staff is friendly here but they don't keep up on their stock. The website will say they have 52 bbq lighters in stock at 2.97 each but all they have are a selection.of much more expensive ones. Then the price was incorrect by $1 on that!

The parking lot is laid out like a super confusing go cart course. If you aren't careful you will be hitting a curb thsy is seemingly right in the middle of where you think you should drive.

I like the bins of stuff near the checkouts with deals. It's s good idea

First Home Hardware that I have seen with a good selection of appliances and furniture. Have purchased many appliances here and it was a pleasure. Would highly recommend.

Kevin in plumbing is a super help. They don't have a large variety in plumbing materials. Very friendly staff!

This store is probably the best home and garden store in bridgewater. Staff are friendly and always happy to help. Everyone in the store are well knowledgeable in everything in the store and more. You won't be disappointed.

Gow's Home Hardware tried to order items from us recently and when they didn't get the price they were looking for.their employee Bryce Hart threatened one of our elderly lady staff members. We are very concerned about the level of professionalism from Bryce Hart and the lack of Respect he has for women. I can only hope that this is not how other women are treated at Gow's Home Hardware. Our staff member had to take the day off and we are now filing a police report over these threats.

For the most part. Great people. Except for one small order for hinges that I think the employee never bothered placing. Bought elsewhere.

The new location is amazing. Terrific spot for all your hardware needs and a pretty good spot to just have a look around and think about appliances

Did an excellent job colour matching to the chip of our house siding do we could paint the shed to match the house looks perfect!

Absolutely horrible experience. The employees are ignorant and were unwilling to help or offer the same respect they were providing the male customers. Time to enter 2021 and start treating female customers with respect.

Nice new store. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My beef is that it seems that as soon as they moved to the new location that prices went up, especially in the paint dept. Maybe they have no control over this but before the move we were paying approx $35 a gallon ($28 if it were on sale) and now they are $48 a gallon. When you're doing a large project, that works out to a lot of extra money. And to Darren Tidd. Reviewer. They do just fine with the mask mandate. Not everyone can wear a mask and there are people who are exempt from wearing a mask due to health issues. You need to stop jumping to conclusions and mind your own business.

Okay store, but not as friendly as in their previous premises, where they won awards for service and reliability.

Great place I love it, I love gardening and they have lots of nutrients, fertilizers and soils definitely recommend

When I found that I could order from Gow's on line and simply pick up the item at my choice of store, I thought it sounded too good to be true. I was right. "Simply pick up in store" is right up there with "the check is in the mail" and "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you". The truth was more like check in with customer service, send someone to find the item and then line up behind 30 others to get to the checkout. When I asked an employee why I had to line up to pay for something I'd already paid for he said it was to ensure that I'd paid? When I showed him my iPad receipt - paid by PayPal with original order - he shrugged. When I asked to speak with the Manager I found that was not possible. There were two cashiers for the 30 or so customers ahead of us. After what seemed like an hour, but was probably a bit less, I caught up with my purchase at the checkout and had to sign some forms. "How did you pay for this? " I was asked again. Once more I fired up my iPad which she studied carefully. Finally after signing more paper I was allowed to get hold of my humidifier and leave the store. If I'd come in off the street and picked up one in the store I would have been long gone by that point. Home Hardware's advertising is BS. Buying on line makes the purchase complicated to the point of absurdity. Twenty five years a customer and I was treated as though I was trying to steal from them. I rate this store as one star because I can't give them zero.

Today I was in home hardware to buy plumbing supplies. 1: 45 or so The clerk was helpful but they were out of stock. No problem. At the cash as the cashier was starting to give me my change I said " please don't do that" " what " she replied. I said put the change on top of the bills. She said " okay " and dumped almost $4 worth of change all over the counter.
Now it's not just me. Look it up. Pet peave number 11. Change on top of bills. There are good short articles explaining why this is frustrating. It also explains the proper way to give change back. Hand the person the change.hand them the bills. It doesn't mention what to do when you ask someone politely not to do it and they do something very rude. What's happening to home hardware? They used to be so good at customer service.

One difference is the professional staff with expertise in their areas. The guy in plumbing saved us $ by explaining what tool and material to buy to fix a bathtub drain (leaking when the plug was in) and how to use them. It worked! The paint staff has equal expertise. This is a really big deal.

Is one of the nicest homehardware I've ever been in. Great customer service and friendly staff. Also pet friendly. Nice selection of stoves and furniture.

Even in the brand new larger store, they still provide great personalized service with very knowledgeable staff who take the time to help you.

Made my first visit to the new store. Sorry to see Wal-Mart has a second store in town
Gone is the friendly atmosphere a trend I found started a couple of years ago. The staff is no longer helpfull, with a couple of exceptions, and the new hires don't know how to be of any help in the department's they are in. Don't like the new store or the new staff. This was my go to store but I find myself searching for another.

New, large, well-lit store with lots of parking space. There is a good staff presence so you don't need to waste time searching for help.
All checkouts were staffed and even with a big lineup, customers were through in around five minutes.

Beautiful new store! Fully stocked, organized layout with the usual friendly helpful staff Gow's is known for. Very happy to shop here over and over again.

Gow's has the best selection of hardware and household products. Staff very knowledgable and friendly.
