Grichi - Original PERI PERI Chicken

This place is a must try, the moment I walked in through the door I was treated by a very friendly individual who was more than willing to answer my questions as I've never tried peri peri before. The food was on another level of delicious, the combination of spices and flavour was perfect, I got the 1/4 chicken trio which comes with their garlic potatoes and rice, the chicken was cooked to perfection it was so juicy and tender, perfectly seasoned, as well the peri peri sauce was amazing, a perfect blend of heat and flavour. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere, Christmas music playing, very nice lighting, and the place was exceptionally clean. Overall one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time.

This food was excellent! We stumbled across this place because of the power outage in Dartmouth glad we did! Not just the food was good but the service was unreal couldn’t ask for better. Will be back again!

I ate lunch there for the first time this week with a friend, and I was so impressed that I brought my wife with me 2 days later! This food is SO good! And what a pleasant change from the usual lunch places. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to try something new. We ordered the Illegal Potatoes bowl (I had that one both times), but really the choices all look good and I will try a different one next time. Highly recommend! And lots of free parking so no need to worry about that, like when you go downtown. Try it!

Great service and very friendly staff! The Burger Bash Peri Peri Burger was delicious, as well as the garlic potatoes! Wife loved the Chicken and basmati and the Baklava dessert was a delicious lil' treat too! Happy to see this wonderful restaurant open up as of late

Order the illegal potatoes and they were amazing, great flavour, some heat…and still have some for tomorrows lunch…highly recommend and will be a regular customer

This is BY FAR the best chicken in HRM. We have ordered two days in a row now that we found out about Grichi. Their 1/4 Chicken Trio is to die for. The chicken is fall-off-the-bone delicious. It’s seasoned perfectly. The garlic potatoes are the best side potatoes we’ve ever had. The rice is perfection. Grichi has a new regular customer in us! Can’t recommend them enough. (Also can’t wait to try their entire menu).

Food was average. I didn't see the shawarma grill, it was more like chicken cooked in the pan. Not authentic shawarma and food was not warm.

Customer service was amazing. Just had the lunch special chicken shawarma and drink and for only $9! Food tasted delicious. Terrible that people gave any less than 5 stars.

The food is very delicious, but the amount of rice they serve is not generous at all for a $20 plate and I had to ask for utensils and napkins!

I tried the Shawarma bowl. It was decent, but not great. I prefer the one from Mezza. My kids had the 1/4 chicken trio, and I stole a few bites. The garlic potatoes were excellent, and the chicken was extremely tender and juicy. The rice was a little too wet and a bit too oily for my taste. I'd like to come back and try a few of the other options.

Looks like a pizza shop, but the food will blow you away. Big fresh pieces of chicken flame broiled with a very flavourful peri sauce. The sauce has a little spice (we got mild) and was delicious. I would be comfortable getting medium without worrying about the heat taking away from the flavour. It was our first visit, but will not be our last.

This place is awesome. The best chicken I have ever had. The owner is an absolute legend and the people who work under him are so kind. I honestly can not rave about this place more. We recommend it to all our friends. Thank you always!

The food here is fantastic. Customer service is welcoming and positive. I’ve interacted with the owner personally and he is a paragon of honesty and kindness. Definitely recommend the restaurant to those who haven’t tried it. The food in the photo is Swicy bowl.
