The entire team at this clinic are phenomenal. I feel like they all truly care about my fur babies.

The veterinarians and staff at the Halifax Veterinary Hospital are careful, helpful, professional, and friendly. They've been excellent in dealing with our cats during the last ten years.

I normally got cat food there and the staff always nice and patience to help me hold the cans and dry food.

We recently switched to this vet from another popular clinic and I am so happy we made the change.

Previously we felt as though our vet didn’t care and didn’t want to take time to find a lasting solution for our dogs issues. However, we saw Dr. Kevin here and wow, what a positive experience. Our dog gets very stressed out at the vet and can at times be reactive to vets/assistants coming in and out of the examination room, but the staff and doctor handled it all extremely well and the receptionist worked with me to ensure that we could take our dog into the clinic alone so that she wouldn’t be reactive to any other dogs or cats waiting for their appointment. This was greatly appreciated as she can get a bit reactive on leash - we had problems at precious clinics that would refuse to do this.

The visit was such a success. Dr. Kevin thoroughly explained what some of the underlying issues may be and helped us understand what steps we can take to manage our dogs condition. The treatment he gave already has our dog showing improvement just a few hours post appointment. If you’re thinking about switching, or starting treatment at this clinic I highly recommend. It’s such a relief to have a clinic that actually seems to care about the pets and are comfortable working with high anxiety/reactive dogs!

We have been bringing our dog here for 2.5 years and we’ve had nothing but great experiences. The front end staff are fantastic and thoughtful and the vets and vet techs are amazing. We never feel rushed. Our dog had a reoccurring abscess issue and they were so great at trying to sort it out within our budget. They give great advice and treat your pet like their own!

Fantastic vet clinic, anytime we have an issue Rosie is seen quickly. Everyone is above and beyond friendly vets are knowledgeable and caring. Thank you for being awesome!

This is a great clinic! I really enjoyed my experience here and felt like the Vet and Tech’s took the time to answer my (many) questions. I also appreciate the fact that they explained the risks and benefits of a specific vaccine for my cat without pushing me to do one thing or another. At another vet i've been too i felt like they were trying to upsell me services or products that my cat didn’t really need. Thankfully this was not the case here. They are knowledgeable, friendly and made the process as easy as possible on my pet.

13 years taking my dog to this vet and when I needed them to see my dog for an emergency they turned me away. The staff working the front counter didn't even attempted to help, they just kept telling me to go to another vet. It's a shame because I did like this vet, but after this I will never return.

Luckily, I found an amazing vet in Windsor that took him right away, examined, ran blood tests, figured out what was going on, relived his pain and prescribed medication which fixed the issue.

Friendly staff and a very high standard of care! We've been taking our dogs here for years, and they have always done their absolute best for us and our pets.

Very friendly staff! They have the special food we need for our fur babies. They are fair with prices for treatments. Not all treatments needed to be done!

Halifax Veterinary Hospital is truly a wonderful place and Dr. Croft is a true cat lover. I can't think of a better and more knowledgable person to entrust my beloved Miss Petunia's to. Her calm, caring, and non-interventionist approach is what everyone values, and I know I am not alone in considering her one the best in in her field. Halifax Vet Hospital and their Vets are wonderful.excellent response time for emergencies for my 2 cats and go out of their way to kind to both their owners and the animals. Excellent prompt friendly service from clerks.

Halifax vet on Quinpool road is by far the best of a few vets I've visited in Halifax. Great staff, always seem to successfully troubleshoot issues I've had with my dog's health. With careful practice, they were open to seeing me during COVID-19 when others weren't. This is huge to me! Although my dog wasn't in a life threatening situation, he was still struggling and I'm so thankful for their help.

I have an extremely anxious dog, and he used to be terrified of the vet, but since I started taking him here, he has calmed way down, and I can tell he loves the staff, especially Emily.

My dog has been looked after by all the different veterinarians that work here, and all of them have been kind, empathetic, and very gentle. All the other staff members are amazing, too. I really feel good about bringing my dog here, as I know every visit he learns to trust people a little bit more. They also offer helpful advice over the phone, and connect you with literature and resources to help you feel supported in caring for your pet. Also, they cost less than other animal clinics or hospitals I've tried in the past.

I would only take my dog elsewhere if this place was closed. Totally recommend. I have complete confidence in everyone at Halifax Veterinary Hospital.

I’ve been here a few times now and always had amazing service but i wanted to take a moment to recognize Emily (i’m really hoping i got that right) from yesterday.she was so sweet and in such a great mood she really made my entire appointment effortless.it felt like her and my dog (lady) had been bffs for years and lady happily trotted off WITHOUT ME to get her nails trimmed by her both of which she HATES with a passion. Emily even gave me some extra tips on how to cut her nails at home! Fantastic vet clinic, won’t go anywhere else.thank you emily!

Halifax Veterinary hospital figured that my baby was having a giant stone in his bladder, and I believed they did whatever they could do about him. Unfortunately, he passed away right now. I would like to thank vets and staff for not leaving me alone in my pain before and after I lost him. One star is lost because whole experience were a bit pricy.

I've been taking my cats here for years and they take excellent care of me. I had to let go of my first pet ever in the spring, and they were there to support me completely all the way. Everyone is so sweet. I'll be taking all my pets here for as long as I can.

They are amazing and I would recommend them to everyone. Knowing my situation. I walked in and they took me to a pvt room right away. The Dr walked us threw the whole thing. It was soo hard saying goodbye to my litte girl today

I took my cat here because it was the closest available vet to where I live. The treatments and vets are decent, but the clinic itself is severely overpriced in terms of food and medicine. They also do not offer any kind of payment plans, unlike other vets I have dealt with in the past. This is not ideal and extremely stressful for full time students, such as myself. I will be switching to more an affordable vet despite the loss of convenience in terms of location.

Staff is professional and nice. They can often times book you in if you need a short notice appointment. Good at giving you suggestions about your pet and their vaccinations.

I had to give a star to post this. In my opinion they don't even deserve that. We went to Halifax Veterinary Hospital with our animals for about 13 years. There was about a 5 year gap in using their services between us losing our last geriatric cat and adopting our current dog. As soon as we adopted our dog 2 years ago, we knew Halifax Vet would be his vet too. For 2 years, we had no major problems, and were happy with the level of treatment they provided him. On Jan 4/19, our dog was attacked by another dog and severely hurt. I called Halifax Vet shortly after the attack to let them know we were on our way to them with an emergency and explained what happened, and was happening with our dog.by this time he was bleeding a lot and having difficulty breathing. The person who answered the phone replied that they were "busy" and to "take him somewhere else. " No suggestions where to take him, no understanding or compassion.nothing! We told them this was an emergency, but was told again they were "too busy". We were shocked! We had to find somewhere else to take him. We ended up going to another clinic, not an emergency clinic, that went out of their way to help us and performed emergency surgery on our dog. They went above and beyond in his care and treatment! We walked in off the street, never been there before, and this new clinic helped us! Took us in and saved our dog. Halifax Veterinary Hospital didn't even care our dog was hurt! And after being patients there for 2 years with our current dog, and almost 11 years prior. I called Halifax Vet the next day to speak with the Manger to complain. I was told she was out until Monday and would call me then. After I left the message, I found out Halifax Vet started calling the emergency clinics and other late night clinics that could have treated my dog the night before in an attempt to get an update on what had actually happened to him, and his status. To me, that was their way of covering their tracks once they knew how bad our dog had been hurt and how upset we were by their treatment. I have since found out Halifax Vet is no longer family owned, but is owned by some big company that owns a number of clinics. Shame really, they used to be great, now I have to say they are horrible!

It is a great place with vets who genuinly care for your pets. I have been there couple times for vaccination and once for a serious case when my dog passed away. Everyone there is very professional and have the most genuine attitude. This is my to go place both for vaccinations and health problems
