HaliMac Axe Throwing Halifax

It was a fun time. Went for my Birthday and it took a while to get the knack of throwing axes but when you do it's good fun.

I aimed for the blue dots since they were pretty hard to hit. Staff was pretty chill. The guy in the beanie and the girl with the black hair gave some tips for throwing. Showed how to do some trick shots and were super nice.

I booked axe throwing for my husbands birthday and it was a perfect experience all around! Booking was easy through the online system and they were flexible with our reservation, as our numbers kept changing. The let us bring in a cake and were very hands on with tips and tricks throughout our visit. Highly recommend for a large group!

If you’re looking for a fun night out with friends then you need to check HaliMac out. I had no idea what I was doing and still had fun. I appreciated one of the staff coming over a few times to show me how to throw an axe properly and after a few quick tutorials I figured it out. Staff was very friendly and the vibe was awesome!

Had a fantastic time, the staff are helpful and we're fun to interact with. I will be back again for sure.

Amazing place! We visited for a birthday and we had such a fun time! It was the two of us, so you definitely don't need a huge group! The instructors were all so nice and helpful, with jokes the whole time and helpful information! Such a fun place!

Nice team building activity I have first time touched the axe in my lifetime. After 15 to 20 throws you will get a hang on it. I was able to hit the center after 30 minutes of practice. If you hit the centre ring, you score 6 points and the outermost ring is just 1 point. You can order food from outside as well or you can bring your own food. Best activity near downtown Halifax.

Visited here a couple times before eventually joining the Monday night league. The staff are friendly and professional, plus what's not to love about taking a load off and throwing some axes?

Safety was clearly a priority. Easy to learn for beginners not as skeptical as some may think.awesome time! 1 hour seemed a little short but good for a first timer I definately recommend trying this place!

My first time there! It was a lot of fun! The instructor was patient and very straight forward. I went with a group of people and it was a lot of fun!

Five stars for a really good time: good assortment of food and drinks, solid date night place.

My wife and I went here on our honeymoon, and we went as a date night on one of our final nights. Now, her and I are really competitive: she got 9 bullseyes, most of mine bounced off the board and fell down. It was absolutely hilarious, cause I mean when else do you get to hurdle sharp metal object while drinking alcohol?

I went to this place as a birthday gift to myself as they offer a free 1 hour session for your birthday. I had such a blast by myself. I even got the axe to stick in a new board which is actually harder than the worn boards. I was cheering and dancing on my own.

Everyone needs to go here and have a blast like i did! A+

Had a awesome hour experience girls on staff were great fixed board promptly you can see the passion in what they do they shared tios and tricks and the games they provided were fun we shall return

Didn't think I would have had as much fun as I did throwing axes but it was very enjoyable, once you get the hang of throwing them it a matter of how accurate you can be, being in downtown Halifax makes it a super convenient spot to stop in on your travels, it's right beside the Hampton and Homewood Hotels, 5 minute walk from the Scotiabank Center and Citidal hill, not far from bars or food downtown, staff were pretty nice and do what they can to make you comfortable while your there. Definitely and spot I have to go back to when I get more free time

This is a perfect place to unwind and take out some stress. Quite a selection of local craft beers and ciders to enjoy.

Tons of fun! Had a blast over 2 hours. The only downside was a mixup with the person in our group who collected our money. They didn't charge her right and everyone had to pay their own fee, but it was easy enough for her to just send the money back via etransfer. Not a deal breaker, looking forward to going again.

Fun time! Decent bar with drink options for folks on low carb or keto diet (coldstream clear). They allow take out to be delivered there - great choice.

Nice place with good setup. There are a few lanes to accommodate multiple people at the same time.
