Rooms are not clean, I left the hotel with 3 bites on my arm and I took pictures. Also the breakfast is disgusting. Not a lot of parking spots.

The Communication is practically non-existent, and on top of that, they forced us to deposit $50 per night, which was not mentioned on their website. None of the phone numbers provided to reach the reception for emergencies or other matters are responsive. The last day was very bad ; there was contamination in the tap water throughout the hotel. The water was running black with a foul smell! When we personally contacted the reception, the management was unaware of the problem and did not issue any emergency notice for the guests. Meanwhile, the guests continued to have their breakfast. Fortunately, it was my departure day, and I decided to leave for the airport earlier! It was a bad experience!

Very nicely renovated Hampton Inn right downtown! Perfect location downtown, walkable to everything. Got a huge room with a beautiful view. Standard Hampton breakfast, and friendly staff although I was disappointed that even though I scheduled housekeeping they did not come. Also the TVs should be larger, especially in the larger rooms where they are quite far from the beds. Would not hesitate to stay here again when in Halifax!

Nice place in good condition. Helpful, friendly staff. It's slightly of the beaten path, but the Pedway is right across the street and will get you to the boardwalk, rain or shine.

Room smelled like cigarette smoke and window was left open to air it out. Curtains would not close so lighting from the parking lot was a pain. Cushion headboard is disgusting.all torn up. How can you not notice?

Very disappointing for the price.
My bathroom had the previous guest's hair strewn about, the bathroom heater was covered in an inch of dust, the pool was cold and VERY small for the amount of rooms in the hotel, the breakfast ran out before closing time (10 am) and the food was mediocre at best.
Most of the staff seemed unhappy to have me there and for being there themselves.
This hotel does not deserve to charge what it does for a stay, much less does it deserve three stars.
I've been to other Hampton Inns before and they were significantly nicer.

Stayed there for three nights recently. I think the current hotel situation doesn't deserve rate 4.2 shown on the website. If I could have checked the detailed review, I wouldn't book the hotel totally.
We arrived 4: 30pm, was told the room wasn't ready, but should be very soon. It ended up still not ready in over one hour. The bath tub drain was very very slow. I reported to the main desk on the first night, but no action was taken for the rest 3 days we stayed. The first night had a fire alarm. Everyone had to leave the building for half an hour. Somehow I could smell marijuana in the hallway at my floor on that night. Was quite bad experience totally for a Hampton Inn by Hilton brand.

I would give zero star if I could,
there is a homeless shelter on the 4th floor… every time we got in the elevator We were scared, they never wore masks and were extremely loud and a lot of people were drunk and high… we were not feel comfortable to leave our room during our stay at this hotel, as well as the over priced parking which we rarely could find a spot.would of been better off at a motel. We asked for room service everyday but coming back to the room without getting any services, once we asked they mentioned that they are too busy to clean the room!
At their website, they’ve not mentioned that this hotel is a quarantine hotel, which is scary as well.

The forth floor is now a homeless shelter. We stayed for two night and were scared to use the elevators - there was a constant flow of drunk and high people in the lobby. During our stay the police were constantly at the hotel and one person overdosed in the main lobby. We’ve stayed here in the past with no issues but after this stay we will never be back.

Acceptable but not Hilton standard. Stayed there for quarantine 2 weeks. No one mentioned there would be no room service. Frequent mix up of diet restriction. Garbage bins lack bags hence stained and left smell. The safe had no battery hence not usable.

This is an honest and non-biased review of our experience at this hotel. Upon arrival, we were told that our room was not ready, which is completely understandable given COVID protocols. We went for lunch and came back about 3 hours later, as we were told the room would only take an extra hour to be ready. Upon our second attempt to check-in, as per our reservation, we were once again told that there were no rooms ready by another agent. We mentioned that we were told by another agent, Carolina, that the room would be ready and that we had already waited an additional two hours. There are many people loitering outside the hotel and even coming into the hotel in a hostile manner, which makes all guests uncomfortable and unsafe. I would like to express my appreciation to the security guard who handled the situation, even when the loiterers were becoming aggressive towards him. Additionally, I would like to recognise excellent customer service provided by Matt, as he was dealing with multiple situations at once with a smile on his face. Matt always greets every guest as they come in, and promptly answers the requests of guests. Thank you Matt.

I had such a terrible experience at this hotel, first of all check in time was 3 PM & my family and I arrived around 3: 30 PM And they told us our hotel rooms were still being cleaned so we had to wait hours in our vehicle until our hotel rooms were cleaned. Hours later we finally got to check in & there was no one working the front desk we had to stand there and wait for about 25 minutes until someone came over to help us, we booked TWO rooms with TWO double beds in each and once we got up to our rooms there was only one bed in each hotel room. We were a family of 7 mind you. I told the lady at the front desk our hotel rooms were supposed to have two double beds and she tried to tell me that I booked the rooms with only one bed in each (even though I had the confirmation email right in front of her which stated two double beds in each room) she basically said there’s nothing she can do about it. Basically every hotel was booked in the area so we had to suffer through the night with only two beds between the 7 of us it was absolutely terrible. Not to mention the hotel room I stayed in had blood on the wall next to the bathroom door handle & the hallway was super dirty with old trash and pizza boxes just thrown on the floor of the hallway. Breakfast was also gross. I definitely would not recommend this hotel it was the worst experience ever. I should also mention there was LOTS of sketchy people inside and outside hanging around the hotel and my family and I didn’t feel safe at all, seriously save your money and book a nicer place.

A deux reprise demande de faire la chambre mais aucun service obliger de rester sans serviettes De bain et gel douche et papier toilette. The Hampton Halifax is centrally located. The property is extremely clean and the staff are very friendly and want to ensure that your stay is great. The property is fairly new.beds are very comfy! Breakfast was good. Covid does limit breakfast items.we will all be back to normal soon!

It would of been a one star if wasn’t for the amazing staff who went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of…. But my honest review is I feel like it should of been communicated that there is a homeless shelter on the 4th floor… every time we got in the elevator I was afraid.they never wore masks and were extremely loud and a lot of people were drunk and high… i feel like I shouldn’t be scared to leave my room when I’m paying over 100 dollars a night to stay somewhere as well as the over priced parking which I had no idea I had to pay, I was not impressed at all probably would of been better off at a motel. Great staff tho!:)

We had attended the hotel to check in only to find our room was not ready, we advised front desk that we were going out that night and she explained that if we're not back by midnight it would be considered a no-show even though we were there to check in but they were not ready. We returned and checked in to the room. The next night I called front desk and asked to book housekeeping for 11: 00 the following morning. Front desk scheduled housekeeping however when we return to the room late afternoon we discovered that the room was not cleaned. Front desk advised me that they had forgot to print the list and asked us to stay in the lobby until they returned to clean the room. Again, we were going out that evening and needed the room to get ready. They cleaned our room at 7: 00 p.m. No towels or soap or present in the room I had to go back to front desk and ask for those necessities. At checkout I was billed $88 more than my reservation I paid the amount and after reviewing the invoice realized it was more than what I had been told at booking, after a discussion with front desk they credited me my $88. Absolutely awful service and certainly will not be staying with Hilton Hotels again. Not once did the staff even offer an apology.

I have travelled quite a bit in my life and this hotel is a 1 star at best. I arrived to a room without any toilette paper or kleenex and the 7th floor was disgusting with garbage that had not been picked up. After calling housekeeping to ask that they clean up the 7th floor and drop off toilette paper and kleenex, the only part of my request that was fulfilled was that the garbage had been picked up…still no toilette paper. I called again, but no one available to answer the call so I had to go to the front desk to get some. This leaves me to wonder if the Hampton Inn understands the meaning of “enhanced cleaning”. Very happy that we only stayed one night.

No idea we were hoing to stay at a homeless shelter. People lutterò around the hotel was disgusting. Get to the room and the soaps were used same with the shampoo and conditioner
Took for ever to get someone on the phone to come and replace soaps. The next morning we leave the room and comeback late afternoon and the room was not made up

We stayed for 3 nights with 2 kids whom we had to explain why there were extremely shady people hanging around the hotel. Well looks like they rent 2 floors out to them which is fine.but I probably wouldn’t of stayed there with my children since we refused to go to the outdoor “patio” on the second floor. Littered with beer cans and cigarette butts and other stuff all over the place, the stairwells reeked of booze and smoke and had empty bottles everywhere. If I would of know we would of never stayed there. Paying for a 3 night family vacation I would not recommend this hotel at all. Very disappointed in you Hampton inn and Hilton. There was no snacks or toiletries available to purchase, which a snack bar was advertised. The staff were friendly but understaffed and over worked. Oh and there was a fire on the second floor and we had to evacuate for 3 hours so that was also fun.this hotel

Stayed at the Hampton inn during the first weekend of July and I was personally disappointed. I have stayed at many hampton inn hotels across Canada and this one unfortunately did not meet a hampton inn standard. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and the staff was amazing and the room was great. Here comes my main issue, this hotel has many homeless and drug dealers hanging in the loby and right in front of the hotel. Everytime we left they were outside just beside the front door in a public space smoking weed, drinking and some doing drugs. Also, in the parking garage owned by the hotel we found many beer cans, beer cartons and broken bottles everywhere. Sadly, my experience was not the greatest.

On Booking.com it shows different price, i booked it. At front desk they charge me extra and they said they gonna fix it but its 5 days now still not fixed yet and even parking space on site of booking shows free and they charge $27 per night parking charge.
Never gonna recommend it to someone

Most of the experience was great, it wasn't noted any where the the room keys were needed to use the elevator apart from in the elevator itself, this confused a lot of people and because of that there were multiple occurences where 3 or 4 groups would be be waiting for the elevator to work when the people inside were still stationary.

The worst part of my stay was the breakfast as apart from cereal or stale pastries there was sliced ham that was fine and soggy pancakes that resembled cardboard. We opted out of the breakfast for our second morning.

I loved it. I stayed for two weeks because I was isolating. I locked the door and told the world to go away. I left the room spotless so I could always go back if I need to! Thanks for plunging the toilet! Lol
