Mackenzie is professional, understanding what my hair needs and providing me information to better my understanding of how to take care of my hair. She gave me a beautiful cut too.

Second appt.with Abby. I was not 100% pleased with my first cut but thought I would give her a chance to redeem herself. We chatted about what I wanted and she was able to do precisely that this time.

My son loved his haircut, and the person who straightened my hair did an amazing job. We will be back.

Alex did an amazing job on my cut and colour! And everyone at the salon was super friendly and helpful!

Stephanie was great! She was friendly patient, kind and meticulous. When unsure she asked her supervisor for direction.

Very, very fun! Workers there are great, and everyone is thoughtful with the process from in to in the chair to out the door. The teachers are quite amazing with giving their hairdressers/barbers to be tips and tricks.
They give great recommendations along with the amazing scent of Redken products, who wouldn't want to be there?

My experience was overall good however I was kinda disappointed at the lifespan. I had gel nails done on Monday morning and by Thursday morning that was all I had left.

Everything was excellent! I’ve been going to HDC since it opened and Amanda was wonderful, she’s very patient, pleasant, knowledgeable and very skilled and has excellent customer service. I felt like we were friends forever, and she’s and a huge asset to your industry. I’m glad she was available last minute, I’ve rebooked with her in 3 weeks and am very excited for her to do my new color. She gives excellent head massages too, the best I’ve ever received. A very satisfied customer. Chris, the teacher, is also absolutely wonderful and I’ve known him at HDC for years and I trust him implicitly.

I had a wash, cut, style today (with I wish I knew her name) it was a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. I am so happy with the process and results. Despite it being a school, the instructors would never let you leave with a hack job cut, so no worries there. The price is wicked!

Friendly service. Instructor Kelly was very helpful given the time was running out before closing. I am happy with the end result.

The person who did my medi/pedi was fantastic. She did a wonderful job. She has a great future in front of her.

Jordie Williams is a WIZARD with bleach! I’ve never been happier with my blonde and she is so chatty and friendly such a sweet girl

My daughter and I went for manicures together. The ladies from HDC were kind, engaging, careful, and thorough. It was a fantastic mother-daughter experience for us.

Love this place. Always excellent service. Hairdressers and teachers always polite and give me exactly what I ask for.

All styalists were great especially Devin who made my 8 ur old daughters day with her new hair cut and colour he matched it perfect with what she wanted. Had a little trouble when I paid. They accidentally charged me for another persons services as they had the same name as one of my three daughters. This being said I noticed it on my receipt and when I went back in they were very apologetic and the receptionist and Devin fixed it for me. It took a bit as they had incorrect directions for the debit machine but Devin stepped in and showed the receptionist how to do it and I went on my way a happy customer. I would definitely go back.

Amanda was lovely, she has awesome people skills! She pays close attention to her instructors & follows their advice. The instructors are very friendly & include the client in all decisions and plan of action. I really enjoyed my experience & have booked my next appointment with a plan already discussed ️

Very pleased with the service I received. The stylist, Olivia, was knowledgeable and provided excellent feedback about how to style my hair and the best haircut for my hair texture.

Recently I have been coming in for regular pedicures with the amazing student Brooke. But my most recent experience this past Monday made me feel very uncomfortable due to the instructor that was on the floor in the spa. Multiple times I listened to her embarrass her students by telling them they were being unprofessional when in fact doing this out loud in front of clients is unprofessional. I agree it is important that the students learn what is professional and what is not, but the more appropriate thing to do would be to pull the student aside and have that conversation with them in private. I will return for Brooke’s services but in hopes that this instructor is more respectful and professional with her students and clients.

The front counter girl was efficient and courteous. My hairdresser, Megan (Meg) McQuade did a fabulous job on my cut and her shampoo (and scalp massage) is second to none! I heard she graduates soon (early Fall, 2022) so I’ll definitely be following her to wherever she decides to work! They’ll be lucky to have her

I usually always have a good experience and this time was okay. My hair is colored much darker than I wanted. I asked to use the same formula as my last visit but it obviously wasn't. Hopefully it washes out lighter.

Went for a pedicure last evening at HDC, the young lady who did my toes was very personable and friendly. She took great pride in her work. Great job!

Me and my friend went there yesterday, and overall it was a fantastic experience. Only giving 4 stars due to the mix up with apt's. My friend was sitting for over an hour waiting, due to the person I had booked with didn't take the information I gave correctly. The young lady who did my hair with Jenn (the instructors help). Was fabulous. I loveeee my new cut and we (my friend) and I have booked to go back in a few months for our foils. This is a learning facility, but they really try to accommodate you. I would highly recommend. C-ya's again soon:)

Awesome service and very talented student. Had a great time. Only ever had one very dissatisfied service, very similar to one I just read about. It was brought to the attention of the school and completely remedied. So they would want to know if something went wrong so they could fix it and that’s what kept me going back.

Very happy with my hair cut Kylie did a great job and the support and guidance of Jean amazing! So happy with the results and fun time I expend at HDC.that I already book my foils and I am confident Kylie will do a fantastic job of course we will talk this together with Jean both understand already what I will be looking for.

I got my waxing done from Lindsay and Jesse today. I had a great experience with them. Thank you!

I had my eyebrows done by Britney. She was lovely, but my eyebrows were not done well, I am afraid. I (thought) I had very precisely told her how I like them shaped, but it took us a while to get there. Then she tried to send me home with only one brow being done. At the end, I smiled and left, and plucked them myself once I got home.

I got hair color and haircut done. I was really disappointed with the color service. It was very unprofessional. Back of my t-shirt was stained in colour and I realized it once I got back home and my husband pointed it out. I felt so bad since I finished up my groceries wearing that t-shirt and I wasnt aware of how bad it was from back.
I won't recommend getting hair colour done here.very disappointed after spending 3 hrs felt like my t-shirt was getting coloured instead of my hair

I have been going to HDC for years now, and usually I have a great experience and an very happy with my results.
In this particular instance I have never been so dissatisfied and upset with the final result.

I will preface this with, my service was not a simple one, but it was not completely unrealistic or impossible.

Almost triple the length I wanted was cut off, (I asked for 2-3 inches to trim it and make it healthy, what was taken off was 8-9 inches) and while I understand that lightening grow out is no easy request, the biggest problem was with the colour application afterwards. Full sections completely missed, and minimal or non existent blending between shades.
Thankfully I'm experienced in colouring my own hair and will fixing it shortly and won't need to go back.

Took my daughter for grading to get her hair and nails done. She’s super happy! Her gel nails were better then when she went to another place before. The students are always great.

Anna was my stylist and she did an excellent job with my colour and highlights. I had to leave unexpectedly but will be booking my haircut and style with Anna in the near future. She is personable and takes pride in her work. I can tell she enjoys hairstyling.

I went to get manicure and pedicure, i was looking for spa but no one explained that express manicure does not come with it. I was very dissatisfied. However i got black and gold gel paint. It went there on Tuesday and today is Friday. The paint is falling already
And she applied thick coat. My nails skin hurts now.
And the nail paint, she was applying it was finished she was struggling to apply the colour.
I am not happy with service at all

My 13-year-old daughter desperately wanted fashion-coloured hair. As she had straight A+‘S in her final report, her Dad and I agreed that she could. We made an appointment at HDC, and the person on the phone was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. When we arrived for the appointment, we got Madison, who has fashion colours in her hair, is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Her colleague, who was also wonderful, assisted with the application. They lightened my daughter’s hair, then did a bricklaying technique using pink and yellow. It looked amazing. FYI: The instructors check-in with the stylists at all key points; and the instructors were awesome too! The finished result is exactly what my daughter was looking for, it’s vibrant and fun, just like her! Madison and team did an incredible job!

Went to have nice caramel highlights and facial for a vacation but didn’t have good experience. Hands of the student that was appointed were shaking continuously… I could feel how nervous and inexperienced she was. Teachers checked regularly but they didn’t notice that she didn’t cover my hair with colour fully …even after a treatment for four hours, she left hair above neck bleached and without colour …. Also the colour she did wasn’t Caramel…it was something else…really disappointing…they offered a fix which would take another one hour and I have to avail that within a week. At least they should have water dispenser…couldn’t get water to drink during my five hour visit in July. Only experienced staff should be allowed to treat clients if they are charging so high … paid $147 for highlights and a regular facial.
