We stayed there and got married in. 2017. It was beautiful the people were helpful the two owners were in sightful. But they did require you to use their Caterer. And while some of the things that we had ordered were actually switched and other things were brought, One of the big things we had was these big giant cinnamon rolls that the caterer made in her bakery downtown. The food was not left out very long, At no point, did anybody come up to the bride or groom And say, is it okay to take the food? Neither of us had ever had one bite. The cater begain to repact it up and took her back to her house. Which I don't understand fully why, Especially when most of the people hadn't had any food. She was packed up and physically already gone. I had gone into the kitchen looking for food. And everyone was sitting around saying oh, it's already been taken.
I was already going into this wedding feeling very sick, I have multiple health issues. So some of those foods that she took it were ones that I had needed to have that day. It was just also an added stress. And at no point to this day Has the food thing ever been explained to me. Not to mention, we had a lot of family that was out of province that was expecting to eat there. That was an extra cost on every single person that they did not expect to be spending.
When we did complain to the owners, They, in my opinion, took the blame Instead of the caterer having to deal with it. They did offer us a free stay within a year, Which we, a hundred percent would have taken up if I had not been so sick for the last few years. If it was still available today, I definitely would have used up the gift card They had offered us, but it was just within a year And my health was absolutely awful I couldnt barely get out of bed.
Honestly, by the end of our wedding, we were both so upset by absolutely everything and then getting to the room and just being sick. All night was absolutely awful for us botb.
Someday I hope to be able to get back there in the same room. And just have a night, which is me and my husband and redo the night. And make that memory better instead of me throwing up all night and him upset by all the things that have happened.
