Hiltz Shoe Repair

So I have always come here for all my shoe repairs in the past. This time I brought in 2 pairs. The lady was the rudest ever, nasty attitude, customer service means everything! Ok, So she wouldn’t/couldn’t fix my husbands shoes, but could fix my ankle boots, ready in 2 weeks, received a call they were done. I needed lifts & bottoms replaced, cost me $70! I originally paid $30 for the boots! I have never ever paid this much there before! To pay, it was Cash or etransfer, which she said she told me on the phone, & when I dropped them off, sorry but she definitely did not. She yelled at me to explain that they always tell people & yelled & complained about the workmanship & what their job entails. I was shocked with her rude comments & attitude, I had no words. Oh & there are scratches & the heels are completely different! She berrated me for asking about that too! Also when I went to pick up, a sign on the door said closed, call a number to pick up, it was very vague & confusing, I was told I could pick up that day, so standing outside at the door, I called, when she came to the door & I asked about it, her reply was that I clearly didn’t read the sign, then she continued her terrible customer service. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! SHAMEFUL!

I was gifted leather riding boots for my 40th birthday as all my shoes and purses had been stolen last year when I moved here from BC. Unfortunately I scraped the toe badly after only wearing them a few times. Leather peeling off, finish missing, etc. I was heartbroken.

I decided to head down on my day off and was greeted by friendly staff. The gentleman fixed it in a blink off an eye. It was like magic. Very generously completed the work for no charge. I've been struggling alot lately so you made my day. Thank you so much! I will be back.

I’m someone who requires new heels, and soles, and stitching and and and - pretty well annually. I wear my boots harder than I should. I dunno why. But I always have. A good cobbler is important to me. Hiltz is hands down the best work I’ve had done on my boots anywhere and ever.

Hiltz just replaced my Vibram shoe sole. They did a great job. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Went in to have an old favourite pair of boots re-soled for safe winter traction. Shows me the type of material he will use and then proceeds to tear the soles off both boots making them totally unusable. Then gives me a ridiculous quote of $65 to resole a pair of originally $40 boots. I said no thank you and walked out with a totally ruined pair of boots and literally dumped them in the trash can in front of their door. I should have made a scene and asked for the boots to be re-glued for free. Hindsight. Not impessed.

I honestly cannot express how ridiculously fantastic their team is, it's unbelievable. I've gone to them for shoe repairs maybe five times now, and every time I'm flabbergasted by the high quality work and the amazing price. Can't recommend them enough!
