Great stop after spending a few days at Keji park. Cakes are super delicious. Thanks to the warm staff.

I ordered a log loader burger, with fries for 15. The food was good, and fries were crisp. I also tried their poutine and chowder, which weren't bad either. The mocha was really good.

Overall, good food at descent prices and friendly staff. 5 Stars from me.

Usually out of what I order here, so it can be a huge disappointment; I don't order often anymore. Also when going inside, it can be a bit of a wait to get your order taken. Don't go if you are in a rush to do other things.

Great little restaurant around the bend from where my dad grew up and we spent family vacations in the 70s. Simple food, good people.

Horrible coffee, old lady with long hair was extremely rude, no paper towel in the bathroom and they had dish soap instead of hand soap. They clearly don’t care. The coffee at the Irving gas station was way better.

Delicious home cooked food. Wonderful staff and the Best Peanut Butter Pie ever. All at very reasonable prices.

Ran in for an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich to go. Was told it would be a little longer than normal around 20 minutes, but that was ok because I had my dog and needed a quick break. 30 minutes later I walk in to check on my sandwich and was told it’s being put together now and would be another 5 minutes. After standing in the door for 10 minutes and over 40 minutes later I received my sandwich. I’ve worked in the service industry for years and can deal with a longer than normal wait but the fact that no one acknowledged me or checked in or even apologized for the delay will keep me from stopping in again or recommending.

Awesome chili at Hollow Log today. Enjoyed after a log hike on a wet day. Have eaten here several times over the years. Never dissappointed.

This was the only restaurant on our way to kejimkujik national park.food was good, but we had to wait for more than 45 minutes to get our food.their burgers are amazing.

Decent food for a alright price. We ordered about 10 minutes before we arrived, but still had to wait about 30 minutes past that, although it was a busy Saturday night. Three of us ordered club sandwiches, which I would recommend. They were large and came with fries, but no coleslaw, as it said on the menu. One ordered the pulled pork panini, which was made on a regular piece of bread, and was quite small overall. The price is right for what we got.

Replying to your reply to clarify a few things. First of all, we ordered 10 minutes ahead, and waited 30 minutes after we arrived, so 40 minute wait total, in case that wasn't clear. We very much appreciate that it could take longer due to covid precautions, and we are grateful that you are doing that. Indeed somebody in our group did not enjoy their panini, but in fact I was very satisfied with my club sandwich. Therefore, I would not have ruled out coming back to your restaurant, had it not been for your reply, in which you outright mocked and misquoted me. Cheers.

Great homemade food, served hot and fresh. Great environment and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Love love love the Hollow Log. The food is fabulous (with an extensive menu) and service is really friendly. If you're camping in the area in summer, it's a great way to take a break and for those who live here.there is year around excellent value.

Nice atmosphere too. Lot's of photos of the area as it once was.

22 min ago we ordered hot sandwiches, there were no problems with the burgers but the fries were burnt could not be eaten. When i called to say something the person who answered the phone responed with sometimes we get busy and cannot control everything and continued with we can not taste everything. This happened before when my parents were here and took the fries and burger back the fries were burnt and the one burger was almost raw. All the other times it has been great food when the man takes our order but when staff sit and talks to two women while others are waiting, some issues may not happen. And to her response what do you want me to do about it, my only answer can be read this and try to be more courtious when a minor problem comes up. Sorry for this post I hope we wont have another problem most of the time the food has been enjoyable.

What a nice little find on our drive through Maine. Wonderful coffee and a great sugary peanut butter some sort of snack.

I got the maple raspberry donut ice cream, which was a mistake because it was old and crystalized.other than that it was a nice place, with a playground for the kids and historical photos inside.

My "specialty" coffee, a frapaccino, was made with instant Maxwell House and cold milk. I'm sure that people come for the food. My breakfast sandwich was on par with an egg McMuffin from McDonald's.

Does not deserve even 1 star! We sat for 15-20 minutes just waiting for menus. People walked in after us, and waitress gave us and them menus, took people's orders who came in after us, then headed to kitchen without taking our order. The place wasn't even crowded. I guess they cater to locals instead of tourists. We walked out and will not return! We will continue on our trip to the ferry and know we will receive prompt service in Digby.

I have driven by many times over the past few years and tonight we stopped for supper and I am beyond impressed! Fast friendly service and the food was yummy and plentiful and reasonably priced!

The food is great! Home cooked made with love. The desserts looked absolutely delicious but we were too stuffed to try them. I had the club sandwich and was very happy with it. It was busy in there for Thursday at noon. Our waitress was great and ran the show extremely well all on her own!

Stop here for brunch one day I was touring on my motorcycle. I had the log hauler breakfast it was real good. Love the old pictures on the wall. Very friendly staff.

Liz and I stopped in for a light lunch on our way through Caledonia. Interesting place, great fries, scrumptious rhubarb pie, good service.

Before going to this place the first time, we looked up reviews in search of choice of establishments in the area. While they were not great we thought it best to try ourselves (and it's the only place for miles and miles of where we were).

I can see now that the reason for the existence of the cafe is just that. Nowhere else local to go.

I will for sure give that portions are great. So we did give it a second go. But that's sort of where it ends.

The service was slow and plodding both times, yet it was near empty. No one smiled. On one visit it felt like we walked in on private time as staff played with visiting babies and talked about personal interests while we waited for so much as an offer of coffee. Horribly bad was that after baby play no hands were washed before getting back to serving terminally tepid coffee. On the other visit it was just.slow and dull.

That the business is family run (seen later on Trip Adviser as a reason for being slow) is no excuse for slow, bland service. It speaks poorly of ones family more than anything as most businesses in the surrounding areas are family run and do a great job.

We now visit every summer for three months as well as Christmas, and have committed to a nice drive out to Bridgewater or Digby this year as opposed to putting money here. It's just not worth it, although I am sure it once was.

I go here every time I am home for a visit and Iam never disappointed the food is always great price's reasonable.

Possibly the best cheese steak sandwich I've ever had

Love this local café. We stop in here every time we are in the area and love the homestyle cooked food. We were delightfully surprised they really cater to gluten free needs and have quite a variety of dishes you can order that are gluten free. They even had the hot turkey dinner with gluten free gravy, which so many other places don’t even consider. Great service. Good food. We definitely recommend it.

Very good home style food. Nice country atmosphere. Prompt service. Very good food. And delicious sweets.
