This store is in desperate need of a revamp.
Dead as a doornail. Staff look bored and unhappy. The only counters that seemed busy were Clinique and Lancôme.

Empty looking, always looming like it's closing yet these outdated chairs said 1K on the price tag. Very odd place, I wish it revamped as a department store.there's books from the 90s on sale, it looks like a flea market in some areas.

This expansive store boasts a wide array of brands, all offering exceptional products at competitive prices. It's undoubtedly a worthwhile destination for shoppers seeking both quality and value.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my last visit at Bay. I was looking for perfume and the girl taking care of perfume was very helpful. I smell arround 12 samples until I found the one I really liked. It was unfortunately out of stock. I had to go to the shoppers where the cosmetician mistreated me and she throw the fragrance in the air I felt really bad about it however I would like to thank the lady who helped me finding the best fragrance.

I love the Bay's shopping, great quality, clothing and Prices are great when the sales are on. Expensive if not on sale.

The store has the worst customer service. I called the store non-stop for two hours to talk with customer service about an issue that I had and no one picked up the phone. Why do you even have a phone number when you don't answer it!

Excellent Customer Service from Nadia at Hudson's Bay, MicMac Mall, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia!

I won a $10 Bay Gift Card in the Tim Horton's Roll Up the Rim Contest. I had to use the card by June 11th. I picked up items to purchase with the card.

After the sale was entered, Nadia opened a points account for me. However, the system wouldnt accept my information. Nadia re-entered the information on a different register.

When I entered the bar code.the system declined the sale. Nadia explained how some of the Tim Cards were defective this year.

Nadia created a new Bay card and everything worked! In fact, I still have $0.79 to use towards another purchase!

Nadia was an employee who knew the company's products and services. Nadia was an adaptable, problem-solver with excellent communication skills!

Jessica in the men's clothing department was so helpful today. We were looking for a suit for our son's graduation.

Good deals on clothes. Staff very helpful. Shame about zellers being small and in the back of the bay. Bring back the restaurant.

Are they going out of business or what? They just changed their winter hours to close every day at 6pm Mon-Sat and 5pm Sun. Prices are over inflated lately also. Seems like this shrinkflation has given stores the right to print money without question.

Returned online items and everything went smooth and easy, just be aware when ordering on the website that some items come from a bay marketplace and can't be returned in store.

Awful return policy. Won't refund, will only provide a gift card. Won't be shopping here again once the gift card is used

I always price compare with The Bay. I lean towards the Bay because of the great quality in their products.

The sales person was extremely helpful and was making sure I'm getting all discounts for Black Friday, although initially they have tried to over change.

I'll be honest, The Bay is a bit pricey, but they also sell the only jeans that fit me properly so I have to keep shopping there. Make sure you keep an eye out for sales, especially "Bay Days".

Sadly this store is a reflection of why department stores have failed, poor service, limited variety or out of stock

The first of every month is seniors discount day of 15%. Not big compared to others. But they would not honour the discount in the cosmetic dept.
So I walked out found what I wanted at Costco at $40 less.

Everything you need in one store. Ranging from household furniture's, beauty, wears, etc.
It's a nice place to be, the environment is so calming and welcoming.

The beauty department makes the return policy/shames us and refuses to do returns. Your inconveniently doing a return in the mail if you wish to return anything. Unfortunately Nova Scotia doesn't have the wide options in store that we are interested in so ordering from The Bay online was the only option. We dislike returning almost as much as the beauty staff so we are stopping our high end beauty shopping with The Bay.

The staff at the Clinique counter are friendly and knowledgeable. The Clinique eye and skin products are fantastic!

Very spacious store with two levels of merchandise. Good quality clothing, furniture, housewares and jewelry are found here.

A salesperson of perfume is unfriendly and impatient. However, MAC salespersons were very nice.

Great customer service. Hard to find employees but when you do they serve you well. The pricing is also a bit expensive but the clearance is decently priced.

This place has gone down hill its starting to feel more like a bargain centre then a department store. Wish they would either ramp things up or shut things down and stop the bleeding

Not a good experience. Shopping with my 87 year old mom, staff had no time for her. Not openly derisive but close! Stern tone of voice causing my mother to ask me to take her home. Apparently asking to explain sizes was too much. She has shopped the Bay for over 60 years. Yesterday was the last time for her.

Very disappointed in customer service. Stopped in today to get a price match in the home appliance department and the lady working was extremely rude. I decided to go home and call online for a price match so I didn't have to continue communicating with the lady, but their phone customer services isn't any more helpful. I've tried calling 6 times; I got through once and the call was dropped after 10 excruciating minutes of trying to communicate by spelling everything out.they didn't call back. The other five times, "Cathy" had her end of the phone on mute and could not hear me.

Lots of new merchandise - including tons of Christmas decorations - in this store.and lots of great sales and deals to be found. People are social distancing well and wearing masks which helps with feeling safe while shopping in a large department store.

This Canadian icon brick and mortar retail still offers great options and let's hope it stays around.it's about the only store left in Halifax Dartmouth that has a good men's selection of clothing.

Great selection of men's shirts and tie's. The pandemic has alot of restriction placed on all business, but overall great service.

I placed my last order with Hudson Bay. My order was packaged on May 11th and they had it sit at their warehouse for 9 days. On May 20th it was in Mississauga ON and was supposed to be delivered today but have had no updates since the 20th. I have been given the run around 3 times now telling me to message them back. Anna in customer service was no different tonight. The lack of customer service is incredibly disappointing. They continually blame Canadapost
for the delays when they didn't even have the package for the first 9 days. An iconic store like the Bay will be going under soon due to issues such as this. My original estimated delivery date was May 17th and it is now the 26th.

I had a great experience recently when looking for some suit pieces. Bernice in customer service was incredibly helpful and very knowledgable. She went the extra mile in answering questions and giving advice about fitting and style (which I really appreciated, as I sometimes inadvertently mix up or mis-match colours otherwise). Overall, I was very happy with my final choices.

It was a Sunday when I went so not alot of stores open in the mall. The Bay was open but quiet and clean. Nice staff at The Bay.

Good selection and staff are very helpful, if you can find them. Lots of parking and big store. Love their range of good quality products, but it is really quite hard to find most items. Get products on sale and the prices are worth it. Otherwise, can be quite pricey.

The online ordering for the bay in general is very slow. Called the number provided and it is only an automated message. My package was suppose to arrive on the 10th and i found out it hasn't even been shipped or processed yet. It would be nice to have an option to speak with a live person if needed for an update.
I never had issues at the bay in halifax, but i can't review the headquarters.

The absolute worst customer service. If you try calling, their dial-in service doesn't even list the furniture department, furthermore, NO ONE PICKS UP EVER. I had to go into the store in person and will have to go in again as I'm waiting for a furniture delivery which I haven't received a call to even be arranged yet.

Would be helpful to find the staff in-store if they a had a uniform code. Hard to find staff during busy days and need more people on cash registers!

Great service is half the reason to shop at the bay. The other half is because they have the best clothes in mic mac and actually have sales.
