Hyclass Ocean Campground

This is a gorgeous spot to camp! The sunsets are amazing. The beach is rocky and lots of oystershells so definitely wear something on your feet but the water is warm and amazing to take a dip in. The couple who run it are amazing hosts. We rented a kayak and paddle board, they probably have the best prices around. We are only sad we were only able to stay one night!

We booked this place last minute and so glad we did! The place is nice and wooded which you don’t often get with private campground. When we arrived we noticed our site had a lot of water in it, someone noticed we were struggling and quickly moved us to another site!
The bathrooms were clean. The beach area was nice, as they note in the website you definitely need water shoes if you want to go in

Very beautiful cabin. Probably the nicest we had on our trip. The distance from the cabin to the washroom is quite far and there are no cooking facilities, but we enjoyed our stay.

A great place, with beach, boat rental, and many possibilities. The owners are extremely friendly. Very clean sanitary facilities. It may be that the sanitary facilities are a little older, but they are still clean and comfortable. Shower 1$ for 3 minutes, which was quite sufficient for me with longer hair.

I thought it was very good that you were immediately pointed out at the reception and could exchange coins. The place is well maintained and you can feel that the owners invest a lot of work and love in it. The WLAN is extremely good, which is rarely found. I can highly recommend the place and enjoyed my stay

Great campground if youre planning to loop cabot trail. Showers are paid.
Washrooms and outhouse are ok.

Sunset is great, we have site E1, right at front of the camground near the water, if you want privacy this site isnt for you as its open to the common ground for watching sunsets and beach access (you will need water shoes as the beach has tons of rocks/pebbles). Free wifi, but if you are in the "E" section sites where we are, you wont get any free wifi signal, you have to come up a little to "C or B" section sites, RV sites.

All in all, nice campground

We stayed in a cabin and it was a very nice stay. Beautiful location with many things to do, it's also between towns for convenience, the cabin was clean and facilities were maintained. Definitely going to stay here again in the future.

RV Site - Clean, easy, laundry was available, great sunset and we had view of lake, full service, and fire pit. Would certainly recommend.

We stayed two days at this campground and absolutely loved it!
From the friendly accommodating owners to absolutely gorgeous views, you don’t want to miss this place. We stopped there our way to the Cabot trail and loved it so much that we went there again on our way back:)
Loved that you can rent kayaks, paddle board and paddle boat. It’s a nice extra.
The place was also very clean and well maintained.
Highly recommend and we will be back for sure!

Incredibly beautiful location with a magnificent view. The service is very good. The sanitary facilities are simple but very well maintained. Washing machine and tumble dryer are available and in good condition. This place is highly recommended!

Beautiful property with friendly owners. Every once in a while we come across a spot in our full-timer travels where we think “Hmm, we could spend a week or two here. ” This quiet spot right on the water qualifies! The owners were lovely and our overnight fantastic. Next time we’ll take advantage of the kayaks and get out on the water!

Hi ya. Valerie and Dave were awesome hosts and had a wealth of knowledge for our stay there! Camp ground clean, nice size sites, and beautiful sunsets! Beach was rocky but we were warned before hand. Water was warm! If in area again, would def come again! Also family friendly with some cool things to do! Ty for a nice time! Cheryl and Kevin.

Very nice couple own this place. Campsites are big, washrooms are clean. Outdoor sink to do dishes with hot water. Thank you.

Beautiful campground. It's older, so sites are smaller, but the new owners are very good about saying what size RV can fit and what won't. We have been full time for four years, and rarely do we visit a campground where so many people come out and enjoy the surroundings. Did I mention the sunsets! Every clear night, many people congregated around a point in the inlet to watch the sunset. And it is gorgeous.

The community there while we visited was amazing - the owners joined the visitors watching the nightly sunsets. They were also very visible - in a great way - during our visit.

We loved our time here. We were at the max size to fit (we have a 38 foot Class A), but it worked fine.

The setting is amazing, and the town of Antigonish is about 25 minutes away. Port Hawkesbury is slightly closer, but Antigonish has more to offer.

I had a package arrive after our stay, and the owners were so friendly in offering solutions on how to get it to me.

I'm not sure when our next trip to this part of Nova Scotia will be, but when it happens, we will be certain to stay at Hyclass!

What a great experience! Dave and Valerie have such pride in their campground and it shows. What a complete hidden gem. The views are stunning, the campground is extremely well taken care of. The signage is easy to follow and well laid out. The sunsets are truly spectacular! Dave and Valerie make you feel right at home. We spent 9 nights and could have spent even more. Thank you Dave and Valerie for everything, you guys were amazing hosts!
