IKEA Halifax

How can you got to Halifax and NOT good to IKEA.we came out with a lamp and a end table we've been looking to replace

Every IKEA product has the cheapest possible stickers on them. They degrade and fall apart when you try to remove them. If they used a slightly better decal I would be more apt to using them.

It was okay. It's a busy location and can be difficult to navigate if not following the floor arrows and signage. Great views from the restaurant, which offers reasonably priced food and cafeteria type experience. Prices on smaller kitchen items are comparable to the Dollar Store but nicer quality, in my opinion. Bedding prices vary, but it is possible to purchase a new set with duvet, sheets, etc for $120. Great selection of storage, and do it yourself furniture. Staff I dealt with were friendly. Heavy emphasis on self checkout and only 2 open with cashiers. I didn't wait too long, but at a store like ikea with larger items, I found self check out to be a burden.

Found so many great things at really good prices. Love exploring this massive store for so many unique things for every room in my house

Tonnes of amazing products to choose from.hard to get around the store as things aren't easily labeled.not much staff or not much friendly staff on the floor it seems.

Excellent service, staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Answered all my questions about furnishing an office and gave me tips to furnish a living room and give it a look that feels authentic to my personality.

The cafeteria section also has reasonably priced food that is quite tasty and the selection of desserts was quite nice.

Staff is great, the store is clean and well-organized, prices are reasonable and the products are good value. On top of that, the restaurant has very decent food.

I’ve been trying to purchase some items for two weeks straight now! Can’t sign into my business account, called 3 times to fix this issue. Still can’t log in into my account as of today. Logged in into my personal account to make a purchase & can’t go any further than the delivery page. Shipping to the Ikea Moncton location is outrageous. I’ve tried purchasing on the day with free shipping on orders over $399. Wasn’t able to buy anything online, so called customer support to make the order through them & I wasn’t able to get free shipping. Absolutely ridiculous, it’s a joke!

Ikea it's just the best. I love wandering around without being disturbed by pushy sale people.

Don't get a chance to visit as much as I would like but it's always a good experience when I do. Noticed the prices have gone up and this is starting to affect the perception of value for some products. Seems the business, like so many others, is struggling to have enough staff. Noticeable lack of presence.

Nobody came outside to see their load and even no office or signs for driver to contact with receivers.

Item went on sale the day after purchase and live over an hour away so would have taken a giftcard in the amount of the sale but they want me to drive all the way back, return it and rebuy the same item. Never again Ikea, never again!

Although I love IKEA's stuff, the trudge through the store to get the few items I want makes me realize I have to do more online/pickup. I'm beyond browsing around this football field. But I do love their ideas for storage, etc.

Spent like $15k in one year. We like shopping there. Swedish meats balls are awesome but the chilli dogs taste like puke

I buy every furniture there. Only had one issue when I try to buy the quartz for my kitchen, they don't do it direct it is a company party, but they refunded me all my money back.

Today the service in IKEA Halifax was totally disappointing. My wife came to buy bed sheets and on one of the shelves she found the sheets that she liked with a discount price tag (photo of it attached).
When she came to a cashier she recognized that the price on the bill was incorrect, and when she asked the cashier she got an answer that it was a different product on the shelf and on the price tag.
Usually, when this situation happens in other places, the cashier changes a price to a tag price, and after that relocates confusing product or tag to the correct place. But not in today's case. My wife got an answer from a cashier "It's not our problem, you should check the barcodes on the tag and product by yourself". When my wife called the manager she got the same answer, with a rude tone, and the manager told her, that she was trying to cheat the IKEA.
I have no idea whom to contact in such a case, but my thought is that it happened just because we are immigrants, and the manager was sure that we would be scared of him and tried to show his "power" and "importance".
In the end, my wife ran away with tears in her eyes.
I hope that as much as possible people will read this post to understand what management is in IKEA Halifax.
Hopefully, the higher management will read this post as well and will contact us to explain why such behavior can happen in the Halifax location.

Just received a text message about picking up my order in Fredericton. I was informed my order I require for Monday will not be available for pick up until Monday. I placed the order on Monday Sept 9th, for pick up today between 10am and 3pm. Very disappointed as I am already on the way to pick it up. Maybe I will help unload the truck since it sounds like the person is alone…

I got great service once we figured out where to go to get it. I found that the order desk, pick up area, etc.were not very well marked to be honest. I asked someone for directions, and got a 'go that way and go right', kind of vague response. In the end, once I found the right spots, the people I dealt with were great.

Have lots of nice things but never have what’s displayed in stock. By the time you find out the item you picked out is out of stock, you’ve already completed the 12 mile maze through the displays. No way to order a product into this store either as it is Eastern Canada’s IKEA distribution centre so if they don’t have it nowhere else does either.

“I have no idea - I don’t work in this department” was the answer when I asked a uniformed staff member for help with a tug. The second staff person I approached on another item told me they were out of stock and no idea when it would be in - then I found it on their computer and it (or a very similar item) was there (and I bought it). What’s up with that? Save stress and order online. Don’t go here in person if you can avoid it!

IKEA! Not the best IKEA in the world as it is located in the most dip village called NS. But it is still IKEA
