Indian Lake Golf Course

Went to play some virtual golf, first time. Was pretty good. Enjoyed seeing courses I'll probably never play on. Easy to use computerised system, keeps score, allows mulligans, drop shots etc.

The course is in great shape, the staff are extremely friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Also the restaurant is a pleasant place to dine after a game

Although I have a huge bias of opinion, Indian Lake golf course is a beautiful, picturesque and always changing for the better kind of course. Beyond proud of the course itself and if you haven't teed up there, you should to see what you have been missing

A fantastic executive course so close to the city. You can do a quick 9 holes here or a full 18. Beautifully kept, great scenery, helpful staff. I definitely recommend stopping in!

We had a diaper party planned with dinner reservations after for a party of 12. We asked for 8am, they gave us 10am. We confirmed the booking and pre payed for 2 tee times just to have them call us 2 weeks later saying our tee time was intact at 8. After explained how they gave us 10am and confirmed multiple times over the phone, they told us to take the 8am tee times or cancel. No other option. This also messed up our dinner plans. Very unprofessional golf course with the worst staff I have ever witnessed. 1 person couldn't show up out of 12 and they forced us to pay for his green fee and his cart. Even after changing the times on us as they please without remorse. Beyond ridiculous. Never playing there again.

The introduction of two exceptional newcomers to this golf course has injected a breath of fresh air into the experience. However, the unfortunate reality remains that the management continues to struggle, tarnishing an otherwise positive atmosphere.

The young man and girl, though new to the scene, have quickly made their mark with their outstanding service and genuine personalities. The young man's youthful appearance belies his maturity and professionalism, while the girl's helpfulness and warm demeanor brighten every interaction. Their presence alone is a compelling reason to consider returning to this golf course.

Regrettably, the management's performance leaves much to be desired. Their poor management skills are evident in their rude and condescending treatment of both customers and staff. This unfortunate behavior stands in stark contrast to the exceptional service provided by the newcomers. It is disheartening to witness such a contrast and reinforces the need for improvement at the managerial level.

In conclusion, the exceptional newcomers have undoubtedly brought positive changes to the golf course. Their exceptional qualities make them shining stars in an otherwise challenging environment. While the management's deficiencies are a cause for concern, the outstanding service and genuine demeanor of the young man and girl make the overall experience worthwhile.

A great value golf course. One of the best par 3 courses around (although there are a few par 4s). Play will be slow as there’s a lot of beginners out there.

Note: they threaten to charge you for cancelling tee times on the same day. Not very friendly sometimes.

Indian Lake is awesome! Joined a ladies league there this season and have found it to be a welcoming, well maintained executive course, with a good mix of par 3’s and 4’s, great for the beginner or to challenge the more experienced golfer. The staff is friendly, the clubhouse well equipped, the flowers are beautiful (as are the sunsets), and the food and beverage options satisfy most every need - I recommend trying the chicken pizza! If you want e fancier dining experience, Martin’s Kitchen is also located in the clubhouse and is amazing but note that reservations are required. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem!

We love Indian lake golf course. We’ve been golfing here weekly for about 3 years and it’s constantly improving. The owners and staff work hard to keep the course in great shape. We love the team, Lise, Stu, Doug, Jason, Prab, Asis…and many more! They keep us coming back. Just a short drive from the city, our favorite way to spend a Sunday. Keep up the great work IL!

Course is nice. Managements attitude is pathetic. Was informed we wouldn’t be charged if we had a no show as there is a 3 strike policy where they will charge you if you have a no show 3 times. The French lady who works there told me no employees ever said that and that I was lying. She seemed to enjoy our dissatisfaction. The more frustrated we got the more snarky and rude she was. We can we’re simply trying to explain the situation and she was just being rude. It’s pretty bad when the Marshalls at the course confirmed that she’s a rude, mean lady and no one likes her yet she still continues to do this. All 12 of us from our group are never coming back. It’s a shame because it’s a nice course but I’m not dealing with their condescending attitudes ever again.

Have been using Indian Lake Golf Course golf and food services since 1997 and continue to go there on a weekly basis. Course conditions and staff services are first class.

Had a diaper party for a buddy of ours, on arriving we had a buddy who couldnt make it, they forced us to pay for the 18 holes plus the cart for that guys even when owner explained the week before if we where missing a guy it wouldnt be a problem they run on a 3 strike rule for no shows. We had no problem paying for the full cart, which is normal on every other course. We had reservations to eat afterwards, so it wasn't like they weren't going to make good, money off us. Didn't have the closest to the pin set up for us like promised and overall not a great experience. Food was great.

Today was a great golfing day at Indian Lake. Firstly I could not get a tee time and then Lise stepped in and presto. 12.40 tee off
We had a lovely breeze and had a great 9 holes. The club house staff, starter and course staff were great. Our favourite Golf course ever! Welcome to the team Morgan! Thank you everyone. We vote Indian Lake the best! We will be back next week.

Another beautiful day golfing at my favourite golf course! I just got into golf again last year and I keep returning to Indian Lake. It is so convenient to Halifax, the setting is beautiful, the course is in great shape, and the staff friendly. It has become one of the highlights of my summer.

This place has turned into a nightmare. Use to be a great place to golf a fun and quick 18 holes. The manager/wife of the owner as of 4 years ago is horrible person. Not accommodating at all. A liar. And a tyrant. Planned a diaper party for my friend and they changed the tee time on us last minute two days prior to the date booked. Then when one of our 12 people couldn’t make it, she forced us to pay for his tee time and the cart. After the week prior to playing in this planned event, I was there with another friend and they informed me that they follow a 3 strike rule now. Meaning if you book for 4 and the 4 don’t make it you get a strike. After 3 times you have to start paying for the tee times that don’t show up. So it seems like they just make up rules as they go. What a shame it’s the owners new wife as of 4 years ago. Hopefully he’s aware of how much business they lose over his wife being a C U Next Tuesday! Would never recommend to anyone. Absolute joke.

This course is a hidden gem within minutes to downtown Halifax. I have golfed there for at least 15 years and it never disappoints. The course has ongoing improvements it’s in great shape and picturesque. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. An added bonus is Martin’s Kitchen onsite. The food is delicious and the decor and deck are charming. Definitely worth checking out.

Great course, great shape and constantly improving the course and facilities. The clubhouse is well stocked. The staff has been beyond friendly and accommodating. I am confused by some of the negative comments posted. Definitely not my experience. LOVE this course…. An HRM gem!
