Island View Restaurant

Stopped in for a quick lunch, had their soups - fish chowder and corn chowder. Absolutely delicious, home cooked and fish chowder was FULL of fish. Cheap and quick with a great view, will definitely be back.

Classic deep fried seafood done perfectly, will be equal to your local spot for sure. Amazing baked goods sold for great prices as well.

OK place. Not much space in the dining room. Food was average. We had a large group so the food being slow was expected but did arrive hot. Fish and chips were OK. A friend had the lobster roll and was quite unimpressed but said the chower was good. Wife had the bread pudding to go and said it was the worst she'd ever had.
Would try again with low expectations.

A great meal at a lovely seafront location. Staff were friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable and the portions large.

It's a little cramped in this little shanty by the sea.

A great space to relax rhough and munch on some seafood or lick your ice cream cone.

The wait staff are friendly, and were great.

We were pretty disappointed. Fish was ok but we found clams chewy and unf. Couldn't eat them. Industrial fries. Too bad.

A must go to place when I’m home visiting. Some of the best fish and chips around!

Sorry I didn't take any pictures but this is a little restaurant in Lunenburg that if you're looking for awesome fish and chips clams and fries or even a seafood platter this is the place to go.

I am not certain why people say the fish and chips are the best around. They were horrible. I tried them twice just in case I got an anomaly and had a bad batch the first time. Nope. Bad first and second time. The first time it was more batter than fish. They obviously did not allow access batter to drop off a bit. When you bite into the batter you can feel and taste old gross oil running from around your teeth when you bite down. This was both times I tried it. The fries are also incredibly greasy. First time they were soggy from grease. Second time they just lay in the take out container in a layer of oil at the bottom of the container. So gross. The food just tasted greasy. The second time I tried it I ended up spending the evening and part of the night in the bathroom sick and with the back door trots. Horrendous! So gross.

This place serves awesome food and baked goods. Had a bowl of chowder, my wife had chicken tenders. They were awesome. They have a good selection of baked desserts & breads. The white bread was delish
