Shout out to Sally in the birth unit who did everything for me and my baby to have a safe delivery. She even delivered my baby on her own last night when the DR did not make it to my room on time!

I am really thankful to Dr. Renee Ingram and dental staff for saving my son’s teeth and handling him with patience and dedication.

Just got my nose fixed after a break, the nurses and doctors are super nice, thanks doctor Corston and his crew!

Special thanks to Dr. Stone who saved my life during a c section and the doctors and nurses who assisted her at that time (I’m sorry I don’t remember all the names). Thank you for your professionalism and quick action otherwise I wouldn’t be able to raise my kids today.

Here for my kids the staff is always nice but shouldn't have to travel from the CBRM with the one of the biggest Hospital there as well.

14 hours almost finished to see a doctor

It’s almost dying people, at-lest no manners first come first serve

It is not acceptable that there are not enough beds and staff in this hospital.
I cannot call it a hospital as they are not able to take care of the patients.
It is better they close it; so, we know that we should go to other provinces and do not waste our time in this place.

Floor 7, with my baby.nurses seemed to have a raging gossip/laughing festival around midnight while my child is in unknown condition.

Some nurses were great others didn't care about us or trying to keep my sick baby sleeping

Registered my daughter at 10: 30 PM at the emergency room and now is 3: 15 am and still not seen by a doctor.if you want to punish yourself and your child visit this hospital

Day staff were fantastic, overnight not so much. Not sure why they think its party hour at 1am when they have sick, helpless children trying to rehabilitate.

Amazing care, great health care team. I feel confident in my child's treatment. They are personable, knowledgeable, helpful, and good with my child and with helping me learn more about his condition. My particular experience is with the children's Orthopedic department. Phenomenal team.

Well my one year old grandsons surgery just got cancelled for a second time.first time was the day before for an emergency so we were disappointed but understanding this time his parents were enroute almost in hfx (4 hour drive) then the hospital called them and cancelled! They both have arranged time off work, finances etc not to speak of the mental torture they go thru each time.im very disappointed in iwk to say.in the mean time my grandsons condition gets worse.heartsick over this

I'm just here to give credit where credit is due. Today (February7,2022), I went for my blood work- meant to take about 2.5 hours. After the first draw and then the "sugar drink' I started feeling very light-headed and sick. The staff were just amazing! Every single one of them. They made a room available of me to rest. Checked in every once a while to make sure i was ok. Thank you so much guys! God bless you!

I have been here to be treated for multiple things and most of the staff are really nice and understanding. The building is always clean and sanitary, the only reason i put 4 stars instead of 5 is because i have had some rude and not understanding nurses and doctors. (the first 3 pics are from when i was a bit younger)

Stepped-in 10: 30 pm in emergency with my son who is in acute pain and it’s 3: 26 am and we are yet to see a doctor in IWK Children emergency.

I don t have the time to cite all the negative experiences I had at this place and the hurt I felt and still feel till this day from the under the table abuse I went through from many nurses, doctors and stuff at this place. Few doctors and nurses are ok, but most of them are cruel and luck skills. 15 years of pure trauma with them. They actually make your situation worse, better to site home and not deal with them. Don t recommend at all.

I cannot praise the IWK enough for all the nurses, endocrinologist and especially Dr Jill Coolen, my daughters OBGYN. She is an amazing doctor who delivered my granddaughter three weeks early because of my daughters high risk pregnancy. She has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have ever come across. The care she received there before and after the birth is number 1 and I can’t thank them enough.

I had to get blood work and was anxious about getting around the IWK and obviously Covid. It's well mapped out, the signs are helpful, the staff are helpful and kind. They give a card with directions to where your going, so helpful!

The Covid protocols were perfect: lots of sanitizer everywhere, people following 6ft rule, wearing masks, they make you change your mask for obvious reasons, which is great, and certain places were designated entry and exits. (although some civilians were a little lax on 6ft, but that's no fault on the hospital, people not paying attention or not caring, which is annoying)

Thank you to the staff at IWK for your excellent planning and service today. I took my Mother in for her first COVID shot and the whole event from beginning to end was very pleasant. Well done!

I cannot say enough to show how much the staff of ward 7a mean to my wife and I. We lost our daughter yesterday. And they made it survivable. They seen us during the worse day of our lives. And they made sure we knew we were not alone. Professional but with a soul and compassion like I've never seen. We love them all. Forever in our hearts.

Doctor and ultrasound tech are very professional, however they should fire their receptionists. We have experienced nothing but disgustingly rude behavior from them both in person and over the phone. Considering moving back to cape breton to have our child there if this continues

EDIT FEBRUARY 17TH Back here for prenatal and are you aware your security guards are acting like unhinged psychopaths on the premises of a children's hospital? Screaming like a psychopath at a family trying to take their newborn home. All because they parked a bit too close to the ambulance spot. Get a grip. We are 100% not having our kid here.

Nurses and doctors are very professionals and excellent customer service but the system in general very poor. Waiting for the facility to send registration documents to statistics department for more than two weeks and after they said that they did is not tracking numbers for follow ups.
The longest baby registration that i see in the world. Compromising the child medical care do to the pediatrician is in US.

Overall nice hospital with knowledgeable nurses and doctors. It might be an issue with emergency department.arived at the emergency and we were the only ones there no other patients in line. Was waiting with my child for 30-40 minutes after the first nurse saw us for a possible concussion. The nurse came by at 15 minutes to see her Wich was nice but she told us it wasn't bussy but that could change any minute. 2 cases here. Either we weren't a serious case and they where taking it slow (all that at 1 am by the way and my 3 year old child ready to sleep from being tired). Or there were more serius cases but I think the doctor could just come and see us it was a 5 minute tops examination or just to send us for a possible x-ray or something. So the second case show us either short stuff or very bad organized system/communication.

This isn’t particularly for the hospital per se, but more about the mental health centre and adolescent intensive services. It was genuinely a pleasure being in AIS, I was in the blue group back in 2016 and the people there were incredible. I made amazing lasting memories with a lot of the people who were there and I loved the environment. The staff are amazing people who really care, and I could just feel the support radiating from everyone. They really helped me transition back into the school system and I truly appreciate all of them. I genuinely miss being there, but I can always reflect back on the good times

The best people, amazing facility, they went above and beyond for us. It was like a second home and we were almost sad to leave. This place is a model for professional, compassionate healthcare.

I can’t even put into words how incredible the staff is. I was airlifted there from PEI and the paramedic with me would check on me every few minutes to make sure I was feeling ok. I had many tests and scans done and they went really well.for the long ones they would even put a movie on for me to watch so I wouldn’t be bored. I had a couple abdominal surgeries as well, my surgeon and his team were outstanding they literally saved my life. The nurses on 7 link were amazing they were always very loving. I also spent some time on 6 link and although they were some of the worst days of my life the staff always found ways to make me happy. I cannot express how amazing this hospital is and how grateful I am for what they have done for me. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would.

I'm not sure why there was a two hour wait for someone who had an appointment. Terrible also I am shocked by the amount of nurses who tried to force bottle feeding on my wife. Supposed to be a pro breastfeeding children's hospital but a large amount of your staff doesnt.

I had surgery (broken at the bottom of my tibia) I went the Dartmouth Gen and waited but they transported me here, I thought I'd have to wait Bc I traveled in a private vehicle but no. I took ct there and they added a cast but they called the next day (today) and said that my surgery is tomorrow to put in some pins.

Absolutely the place to be when your sick or children in your family are sick. It is an amazing place

The Staff at the Perinatal Clinic in the IWK are all so Very Helpful & so Kind & Caring. Definitely Glad to have them around for my Pregnancy

My Wife and I were in for her first ultrasound and the receptionist there was rude and told us to go wait till 12: 30pm when it was 12: 28pm because she was still on lunch and didn't have to help people until 12: 30pm (Mind you that this was just the ultrasound receptionist). The lady actually doing the exam was amazing and sure kind made up for that horrible interaction.

IWK was an amzing hospital. They helped my son so much and provided him help with so much love and spirit. Always very up beat and happy. My son has had a quite a few stays there, and never had a bad experience. VERY LOVING and KIND people!

IWK is such a wonderful place, they are all god sent! I flew for in for my god daughter because she was sick and was here. They saved her life and I am forever grateful! God bless you all!

Every time I go there, I had to stay 5 hours to be seen. You will see other patients going ahead of you, even if you arrived first. They will be going inside running and very happy, as if they should not be there at all and other kids crying will b waiting outside. Staff is good and doctors will b eating, drinking coffee, chatting or on there phones and when u ask for the reason for waiting, they will tell u they r busy with other patients. As if they r doing that on purpose to push the city to hire more doctors.

The wait time in this hospital is beyond ridiculous! How dare you make an infant wait this long to see a doctor! @emergency in IWK children’s hospital

Great Hospital with amazing staff. My wife was admitted for 3 days and the service we received was incredible.

So grateful and happy, my daughter's birth was one of the most important, comfortable and nice experience thanks to Dr. C. Connell and Katheryne Mills! God bless you!

My son was at the IWK for 4 day and received incredible care. Every single person that had anything to do with his care was extremely helpful, kind and patient with him!
