Jacob's Lounge

Made for an awesome birthday experience! Despite being absolutely packed and a bit short on hands, the staff were attentive, polite and went above and beyond, even making me a special cocktail. The food was fabulous, especially the potato skins. Thanks for a fun and delicious evening out, will definitely be back.:)

I was hesitant to write a review because I honestly think Jacob's Lounge is one of HRM's best kept secrets. The food is truly magnificent and they're the place to go for a stellar wing night experience, but that's not even the top of their resume!

The folks behind the name are some of the most wonderful individuals around. We ordered takeout the other night and I forgot to mention an allergy. I called back and without any hesitation they remade my girlfriend's dish with all precautions taken. They could have easily said "That's too bad", but these folks went above and beyond to rectify a mistake I made.

That's why I really needed to leave a review. I wish every restaurant could be held to the Jacob's Lounge standard!

My husband and I decided to visit on December 28 to break away from our regular spots to grab a quick bite to eat while in Dartmouth. I wish we could say our experience was enjoyable, we spent more time making sure mice were not crawling on our shoes and up our legs.

We noticed some mice and alerted the staff, to which they shrugged it off. Our food was on our table by then, we were trying our best to ignore the pests at our feet. By the time we were finished I was personally filled with anxiety scared to keep my feet/legs still.   We informed the waiter as he brought us a box to take our food home, he again shrugged it off and said "it happens". I can assure you that we've eaten at a number of restaurants in NS and this is our first experience with rodents climbing on us or even seeing them while seated at our table. We go to restaurants twice a week at minimum.

I wish I could say we had a great experience, we were hoping we could add another place to our list of options, unfortunately the response from the staff truly made the experience worse. No sorry, no offer to even comp one of our drinks, nothing but "oh well, it happens".

We understand that rodents are hard to keep at bay, we don't understand the disregard for our experience by your waiter. Dreadful service in that regard.

The meals are great. I tried most of their items on the menu but today I tried their wings and oh man, I ate the whole basket. Delicious! My new favourite spot

Jacob's Lounge hosted my mother's 50th surprise party this weekend, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff, food, and atmosphere were 100/10. From my 20-year-old friends to my 80-year-old grandparents, they have all not yet stopped raving about Jacob's Lounge and the compliments are highly deserved. The owners, Bassima and Mike, make the restaurant feel like home, while the rest of the staff feel like old friends. I cannot wait to go back for their delicious pizza!

First time on the East Coast and stumbled upon this jem. My daughter ordered the Chicken Alfredo and it was delicious and I had the garlic fingers, the donair sauce that came with it was unreal, the flavor was amazing.

I found our server (who my daughter referred to as Jason Momoa) to be extremely friendly, prompt and courteous. He was quick to chat, explain the menu and made the visit very pleasant.

This place is very welcoming, has a great atmosphere and the prices are very reasonable, will definitely return again this summer when I am back on the Coast.

Had awesome meals, chicken parm and spaghetti with delicious marina sauce was lick the plate good! The Smokey Cajun dry chicken wings were meaty, crispy and delicious! Best meal I have had in a restaurant in a long time! Pizzas looked awesome too. Very popular take out spot! Can't wait to go back!

The meals were delicious and the service was outstanding. We constantly try to support local businesses and Jacob's Lounge is a hidden gem.

Amazing food great service. Really enjoy the meatball sub, nachos, potato boats. Girlfriend loves a healthy Cesar salad and this hit all the spots.wings nights super busy but really good and Fridays happy hour great deal.
