Jake's Family Restaurant

We've been avid Jake's fans for about two years, but over the past several months, the food (while still very good), and service have become very inconsistent.

Their 'new'-ish online ordering system has a few hiccups. For example, if you order 2 x nachos with a protein, the website charges you TWICE for it. However, the order receipt they receive does not clearly reflect this. Twice now we have had an order of nachos arrive with no meat because they didn't think we paid for both. Frustrating. I am curious to know how many people have paid for a protein and not received it because of this issue. How many other food items experience a similar problem?

Ordering extra cheese and/or meat on an item has become a complete gamble. Just the other day, myself and my partner both ordered donair panzerottis with extra cheese, both came with very little. Other times, we have gotten our extra cheese (not necessarily a cheap option, either).

The staff and the delivery drivers are all awesome, so no complaints there.

I would still recommend Jake's - they continue to serve good, generously portioned food - albeit a little more inconsistently than they have in the past. Hopefully these kinks can be worked out in the future.

I come home every year, and this is my first stop every time. I always get the donair panzerotti, and Joey loads the meat on for me. I have never had bad food from his establishment, and he is always happy to see you and talk even if it is only for a minute or two from the time you walk in to the time u leave u are treated like family.

Had a small falafel wrap and it was tasty and filling. Friendly and clean diner. What pulled us in was the rappie pie and my partner loved it

Disappointing! Used to be one of my favorite places ever to get pizza and donair, but they changed the pizza crust (too thick), ingredients on the pizza are at a bare minimum and the donair meet just doesn’t taste like it used to. I will say tho, their donair sauce is still great.

Friendly staff when I phoned in the order. Order was ready when I picked it up. Again, everyone there was friendly. Place looks clean and tidy and you can watch them preparing the orders.

It was a layed back environment but spacious and clean nice staff that work hard and also wanna make sure they dont get your order wrong and the food is always atleast an 8 out of 10 for my opinion

Cold food definitely not worth the money and bad service. I will never go there again. Way over price for what you get

We just called up restaurant and this came up.
The food was very good, my husband had the burger, OMGOONESS big is the word.
I had the clams and chips, clams were good some were not cooked, fry were greasy.
We will come back.
