JB'S Steak and Seafood Restaurant

Very small serving. No check from the waitress. What food there was, it was good but left satisfied or full.

First time.probably last time.

Friendly welcome, varied menu. We opted for seafood plate and scallop and clams combo. Both huge portions, fresh crispy batters, delicious seafood.

We arrived a Monday, a day most restaurants are closed. Our host in Port Clyde suggested JB's for dinner. We arrived 10 min before they closed and they still accepted us. I ordered a captain burger fish & scallops with fries and my mom a lobster roll. Portions are amazing, service is friendly and professional. We give 4 to cuisine because the lobster roll was soaked in its sauce, yet still very tasty. And the scallops yum yummy.it was so good to eat them after so long. Pretty nice restaurant. Will come again thank you!

Excellent food, fast and friendly service, clean and bright environment yet relaxing. Perfect spot for some delicious food and a lunch in with some beautiful views of the causeway.

Almost didn't get in since everything in Nova Scotia was packed and reservation only on Valentine's Day. Little lobster crawl vacation week oversight on my part.

However, Brandy was a superhero today and got my fiance and I a table 15 minutes before closing. They ran out of lobsters so I didn't get the full lobster dinner I planned this week long vacation for, but it actually worked out really well because the seafood chowder, the last remaining source of lobster in the restaurant, was absolutely mind blowing level delicious. So much so I kind of regretted getting scallops and haddock to share with the seafood platter we also ordered, since both my fiance and I got big bowls of chowder we definitely didn't need more food. Out of 5+ restaurants the deep fried haddock was definitely the best so far, and the scallops were excellent as well. Pretty good fries too but not the star of the show if I'm being honest.

If I lived here I think I'd be eating at JB's at least once a week, can't go wrong for these prices and with a level of service that high.

Say Steak in the name but none on the menu other than a steak sandwick. Kind of disappointing to say the least.

Unfortunately I was glutened here, which means I got sick and it took a few days to be able to eat somewhat normally again. I'm disappointed that they have NO gluten-free options. Many people have this problem and they're not getting that business.

The woman working here came off as being unfriendly, but maybe it was a bad day. Then the food came, and unfortunately the lobster roll here is terrible. There is pink cream sauce all over it and it's really runny so good luck picking up your lobster roll and grab the fork and knife. Obviously no longer toasted after being in that bath. The poutine was sub par, as they use a turkey gravy, or seafood gravy of some sort. Not my taste.

I ordered the Haddock & Scallop combo $ 21.00. The seafood was delicious. I was disappointed with the frozen french fries, @ $ 21.00 there should have been Fresh Cut Fries (: ~)

Was waited on by friendly staff and the prices were reasonable for the decent portions we got and food was simple but it was proper and of good quality. Will eat here again!

The food was amazing and the staff were very nice.there was a wait, but the food was well worth it I had the steak sandwich and I definitely would have it again!

Thoroughly enjoyed not only the food, ample servings, but the view. Convivial setting & lovely staff as well as clientele.

Huge, delicious order of half haddock and half clams with fries. Great view of the Causeway and beach. Would love to see a patio out there

Ample parking. Service was fast even though it was busy. Food was good. My son liked the lobster poutine. The senior's menu was enough and tasty. Found the air conditioning was too cool. Clean washroom.

Food was great.there was only one waitress though.she was great.the restaurant was full and no waiting for our orders to be taken or food to come

Good food. Generous servings. Old fashion people focused service. Bread pudding tasted as if we were at grandma's kitchen.

Great spot to eat I would recommend it large portion sizes I had the fish it was excellent I would definitely go back there again, just before the causeway

Seafood chowder is excellent! All the food looked and smelled great. Service is timely and staff friendly. Highly recommend stopping here for a meal!

Best seafood chowder in the Barrington area. Can't say enough. If you are craving a seafood chowder when you visit Barrington Passage NS, make JB's a necessary stop.

Great food and nice, laid back servers. Never had a bad meal or bad service while going here to eat. The decor could use some updating, but beyond that I can't think of any flaws.

Food was great. Waitress seemed a little distracted. Came to asked us how our meal was and was backing away before we even answered her. Food was wonderful. Fries light and crispy. Batter on Haddock bites and scallops was very light.

A must stop. Just good homemade food. Since discovering JB's I don't stop anwhere else in the area.

I love this place. Seafood is always fresh and prepared to perfection. Prices are great, service is great. I wish I lived a little closer to it.

Wow! Delicious seafood. I had a cup of seafood chowder and bacon wrapped shrimp - both excellent! Service excellent!
