If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This is the place to go for that "best of" breakfast diners kind of experience. Our waitress, Tammy, was beyond welcoming and recommended us to visit the Maud Adam's replica house and it too is well worth the short trip. Please go here, you won't regret it. Worth mentioning that they are a breakfast/early lunch place - so plan accordingly.

Had the fish and chips. They were the best my whole trip, lightly breaded, cooked to perfection. Waitress " Tammy" was the best, friendly and informative about the area.

Based on the people who were eating alongside us, this is where the locals eat - and I can see why. Simple, no frills, super friendly service. Just a solid classic diner experience.

Found this place via googling "Digby Breakfast", and the reviews do not lie. This place is amazing. Food was top notch and service was friendly, yet gave us personal space. Very quick to bring our food after delivering. Only gave a 4/5 on atmosphere due to when we pulled up I said "this is the place? Alright" it does not give off an image that matches its quality. Will be coming back every time we visit Digby.

We had breakfast at a resort the day before and the food at Josie's was far superior.
Josie's breakfast potatoes were especially tasty, and she brought HP sauce by default.
Great conversation.
There is a sign at the door that says, "Enter as strangers, leave as friends" - and that's exactly what happened.
We're only here for 1 more day, I think it might be Josie's for lunch and breakfast again before we leave town tomorrow.

We should have ordered the breakfasts everyone rave about, but we ordered lunch. The club sandwich was blase, no real taste, but the fries were excellent. Very crispy. The homemade fish chowder was a bit of chopped onions and lots of potatoes in a bland milky broth. The amount of fish was less than a teasoon. Very disappointed, we went because of the high ratings. We will try the breakfast on our next trip through.

Very good food, espacilly for the price. Very good bacon and potatoes, eggs and pancakes are also good.
However, the Ham on the Cooks Special is a bit thin and should be thicker.
Despite that very good, very big portions (for German standards at least!) and the price turns it into an awesome breakfast.

Great food, fantastic prices and the most kid friendly restaurant we've been to. Staff were friendly, helpful and we extremely accommodating of our two toddlers. They had high chairs and sippy cups. Definitely will be back the next time we're in Digby!

Great service great food.
Food have wholesome taste that makes you feel at home. The new renovation they have done is great! You should check it out! They placed dividers between tables and kitchen is private now so makes it for a cosy time with family, friends, couples, singles hahaha! Is fun for all. It looks like the oldies Dinner with the new deco. Plus food is great! And they have Breakfast all day!

I'm not sure how anyone can give this place UNDER 5 stars. Let me explain:
1) Great customer service. Not pushy, but courteous checking frequently on your needs.
2) Portions are more than decent.
3) Food is cooked perfectly and swiftly, extra needed items on the tables.
It's been a few years, but this place has always been consistently delishious. I am so glad we stopped back in today (Mar. 12,2023) we were not disappointed. Great coffee too!
We all had the Cooks Special, for $14.50.
That includes: 2 eggs, your way, bottomless coffee or tea, 4 straps of bacon, 3 sausage links, 1 slice oh ham, garlicy-delicious seasoned home fries and 2 full slices of toast.
This place is laid back and feels like you are at Grandmas house. Worth the visit. Very reasonably priced and we 100% will be back.

Hometown, family style restaurant with good food and affordable menu. Great staff make it the perfect place to stop in when hungry.
