Julien's Patisserie

Very nice staff. Coffee was pretty good. Pastries were so-so. Definitely not what I would go out of my way for, but not too bad for a quick stop. Not really much in the way of quick breakfast or lunch items.

Nice place to taste a good coffee and fresh french cakes.

Love this bakery/cafe. Great service from the staff. The ambiance in the cafe is really nice. Great selection of baked goods and types of coffees.

The place is beautiful. They have a beautiful garden but the last few months the price increase a lot like if you want to have just Corazon Almagosa new pay almost like seven dollars it’s increased done before I believe it’s too much.

Friendly staff and excellent location, however the quality of the pastries has significantly declined with new ownership.

Quality of food has significantly gone down. If you like French pastries, got to LF Bakery instead. Julien's is no longer a French patisserie.croissants and chocolatines are stale and tasteless. Cold croissant sandwiches with one little rolled slice of ham. Too bad, used to be so much better! Where did the great fresh apricot and almond croissants go? !

No cinnamon rolls/buns which is why we headed here, but the hot chocolate and almond croissant and rest were fabulous.

Stale, dry, expensive for such poor quality (chocolate croissants…aka… chocolatine…very disappointed…don’t try that in France as you will be forced to stop to name your product as such!

Très occupé et pas beaucoup de places pour boire un café mais ambiance agréable et les patisserie délicieuses.

We have been buying bread here for years. The last loaf of white bread we purchased had a bad taste. My husband made toast with it, as usual. Very strange taste. I had a piece not toasted later in the day, sour taste. I returned it and was told to wait for a phone call from the owner. Hoping we hear from the proprietor soon. Such a shame

I’m sure they were good in their heyday, but the best part about this place is some of the baked goods they sell from other bakeries around Halifax. Just go to the source, they probably have better coffee and more reasonable prices than Julien’s anyway.

The staff and selection were amazing. The coffee and food were great. The inside of the shop was cozy and easy to get around.

I went a couple of times for some delicious pastries. The sweets were good, but the croissants were the real stars of the show, and the Cafe mocha was great. Sadly the customer service was not good; On our most recent visit we made a big order in person, and it felt like we were rushed, no smiles, no kind words, just like "here's your stuff, now get out". Hope the service improves because the food quality does not disappoint.

The pastries and macchiato are amazing and the atmosphere is lovely. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This is no longer Julien’s - the new owners are trying hard, but have huge shoes to fill!
Excellent service, but pastries need to be further refined.
