I love Kejimkujik and the Seaside adjunct. It is so important to preserve the natural environment and experience the beauty. Love learning about the First Nations Mi’kmaq people their values and traditions on their unceded territorial land.

Unfortunately the circular route was closed. Probably because of the last storm.
The toilet was also broken.

Absolutely stunning. Accessible walking trail to the water front, little more engaging after that. Lots of wildlife, including bears and seals.

Beautiful nature and great hikes in which you can spot seals. However, we were eaten alive by mosquitos, even through a layer of clothing, so make sure you bring your mosquito spray!

This is a beautiful hike and Catherine River is one of the nicest beaches on the south shore. The coastline views are increíble and the hiking trail is an easy hike for all capabilities. The mosquitoes really took it to us so make sure you bring big spray. Lots of wildlife so make sure you bring binoculars if you have them. There’s an outhouse halfway through the loop but not much else so make sure you bring water, food etc. Park was pretty dirty but only at the actual garbage cans.

From the highway you drive along a gravel road to the parking lot of the national park. The National Park at Seaside does not charge an entrance or parking fee. There is also no ranger.
Once there, there is an information board with a brochure and warning signs about the animals. One walks through a path to the beach. To the right and left of the path is brush. After a little less than 20 minutes you are on the beach. In front of the beach there is a viewing platform with a view of the beach. The paths are well paved.
Unfortunately, we did not walk the whole circuit, because we had a light mosquito plague. We have found bear tracks along the way. Had the mosquitoes not been so many we would have definitely spent more time there and also we would have walked the whole path.

Beautiful relaxing park, lots of trails, waterfalls and a nice beach at the sea side section of the park.

Sur le bord de la mer avec des points d'observation des oiseaux. Pas beaucoup d'ombre; prévoyez un 2-3h pour faire le sentier difficile, de la crème solaire et du chasse-moustiques

Have so looked forward to coming here after moving to Nova Scotia.
Although only stayed a couple hours and only did a few kilometre hike I can tell what an amazing place this will be to come to hike and relax.
Saw some habour seals cavorting close to shore, climbed around some of the shore rocks and of course sat on the red chairs.
Looking forward to coming back to explore more since there's a lot left to see.
5 stars for sure.
Did I say it was free to get in too!

Beautiful spot. Lots of mosquitoes. We looked like dorks in our big shirts (mosquito netting shirts) but it was worth it. We saw deer, large rabbits, seals and a bear. There’s a wonderful beach but the weather wasn’t the best for a beach day. We did the loop, which I highly recommend. A great walk/hike and not very challenging.

This is a hidden gem and one of my favourite finds driving around Nova Scotia. The walking path to the beach is quite accessible and only 30 mins for breathtaking views.

Cool. An intimate park, almost empty in mid-June. There are bear warnings, I haven't encountered one. Unfortunately, I didn't see the seal either, but I liked it anyway.

Hiked in early January with a 5 month old baby. Had the entire trails, park and beach to ourselves. It was a magnificent day that I’ll never forget.
