Okay I literally just left this store. I was prancing out with my almost free succulents, and was just blown away at the amazing customer service here. Everyone was friendly, kind, and it was soooo clean. We looked at some things for renovations and we got help in every isle. Absolutely amazed at the customer service.

Unfortunately, like out of bedroom, just they don't give a bedroom discount. But they had when I was looking for.

Inventory is not accurate.hard to get help at times.reno'ing a house and often had to go to Home Hardware to get what I needed.

The staff is always friendly and helpful, and are easy to find around the store if you ever need a hand finding something.

I've worked at Kent in Amherst since August of 2022. I got a long with most of my co-workers. I've also gotten along with most managers there, up until Tyson became the manager.since day one of his start date it seemed like he was out to get me. I've emailed HR about a couple of incidents to say the least, but nothing has gotten done. My breaking point was when I got written up for inappropriate comments with no evidence of me saying said inappropriate comments. Once you put your two weeks in your problems with other co-workers are no longer important nor would have a simple conversation about it. I highly recommend not working here.

Needed a door closure, I looked and couldn't find it, asked a staff member, was told over there, and they walked away. I found it myself. Also bought a wood Hackett from a basket on sale 19.99, checked my slip in my car, and was charged 29.99.

Not a great experience.
I ordered and paid for a load of wood for a weekend project at 11: 30 am on Sat. I was told I would receive an email letting me know when it was ready for pick up. I was told it would be 1-2 hours and not to come early.
This store closes at 5 pm and is closed on Sunday.
Needless to say. 4pm rolls around.ive still not heard from them.
I start to worry because this is a pressing repair due to a recent hurricane.
At 4: 30 I decided to take a ride over. The order was still sitting at the front counter. They then told me there wasn't enough time for them to fill it. I was a bit annoyed and asked for a refund. I was told that I would have to apply for one.
Are you kidding me?
No apologies.not even an excuse as to why my order was simply left.
I ended up going to the lumber yard and picking up the wood myself.
I'll never go back to Amherst N. S Kent. These guys clearly do not care about their customers.

Went on a weekend to buy blinds. They do not have anyone to cut the blinds staffed on weekends though. Someone working 9-5 wouldn't be able to blinds there. Disappointing.

Best by far, had them do a complete kitchen makeover. Worth every penny, best contractors to deal with.

Little over priced for some things I thought but overall they have a great selection of products

Needed finish nails but couldn't find them in store. After asking a staff member, I was taken to the aisle and shown the finish nails I required. Good service

Love the helpful staff for any of my construction needs be it for a customer or a self project.

Every single time i am forced to get materials from kent in Amherst N. S, i check stock on my phone before i go, when i arrive i ask the employee at the trades service desk to check stock before they print my invoice and bill me, then once i get out back to the yard the employees spend on average 45 mins looking for the materials that have been stock checked TWICE already and billed for, only to told they are unable to find the items. Then they attempt to substitute my required item with others of a different type and cost, throwing their inventory even further out of whack. The store manager needs to teach his employees how to take inventory of the yard and actually make sure inventory is taken more than once a year.

The staff at the Amherst Kent went above and beyond on helping us find the bathroom vanity we were looking for.

Not a lot of variety. Hard to get assistance and if you do sometimes it can be worse than not being helped.

Better than last visit. When i was leaving the store i noticed that one of the several cans of paint i just purchased looked different from the others. When checking i found that the lid was just sitting on top of the can, that would have made a mess in the car. I had one of the cashiers punch it down before i put it in the car. On top of that, the cashier who served me didn't notice the can being open plus she kept my paint stir sticks and can opener!? Mybe check out rivals down the road?
