Small store really. They don't have the selection necessary.however, it's a great location for those that don't need much.

Nathan in the lumberyard did an awesome job answering all my questions and helping me come up with solutions when KENT didn't have what i was looking for in stock.shout out to Nathan.

I went in with my mom today, who has a healing broken ankle; and the staff were so kind in helping and going above and beyond. Steve from the lumber department went out of his way to help her find more items she was looking for within the store, as well as offering her a cart to lean on for more support with her ankle.

Blaine was an amazing sales associate, very friendly, willingly came out to our vehicle to help us out. Was not necessary he went the extra mile! Without needing anything in return he did us a great service!

We always enjoy going to the KENT hardware store.
We usually find what we are looking for here.
The advice is good and the shop is well laid out so that you can find your way around easily.

Went there to get screws and nails. Planned to build my daughter a bookcase for her going off to college gift. As a father, nothing matters more than me than making my little girl happy. The atmosphere of this Kent is close to a haunted house, sad and miserable. Staff was nice, not much to do obviously as they were chatting amongst themselves, but were eager to help. I got my hardware, went to the cash, and they sell a small bag of M&Ms for $5? Good thing its close to a dollarama because thats absurd. Anyhow, I got looks from staff as I was browsing the queue lane items. Some congregated at the front as I was checking out. This Kent always seems to lack customers, curious to if they're laundering money, or maybe it's the peculiar customer service. Anyhow. I got a eerie itch from this store, I don't recommend it, go to the Bayers Lake location. Or, better yet, support local hardware shops. My daughters gift had coat of sadness on it. Shame.

What is this world coming too! Went to this major building supplier today, Needed lumber to make a ramp for my shed, Needed some 1x6x8 threaded lumber, All they had was 16 Footers, So i needed two boards cut in half so it would fit in my SUV, Got to the front with 3 employee standing there with there hands in there pockets, i ask to have these cut, Was told that there saw was down and could not cut it, I them ask them if they could cut it with a hand saw and was told that they could not, I then ask if i could cut it and was told that they did have a handsaw and i was not allowed to use it, So i had to leave approximately $200.00 of building Supplies there and go somewhere ells because they could not cut a piece of 1x6 board.

I am very disappointed with the prices that they have. We use to shop there all the time but prices have gone to high we have gone else where.shop around before you settle for their prices you can usually find cheaper.

Found the one thing I couldn't find at home Depot or anywhere else! (Privacy film/glass cling) They were very helpful, clearance bin was great and employees were so nice! Bathrooms are available for public also

Terrible customer service. Looks like nobody wants to work here. Just went to pick up soil and nobody there to help. When I asked, they say just go and pick. I had few questions, they said sorry we don't have anyone. Felt like treated differently and discriminated. I would never visit this store again.

I regularly shop at this kent for anything I need project-wise or home repair. They're always polite, I'm always greeted shortly after entering which is refreshing. I hate being ambushed the moment I step in a store, I really appreciate having a minute or two to browse first.

The staff have consistently and thoroughly answered my questions about projects I'm buying supplies for or teaching me how to use new tools for DIY projects. I've never felt embarrassed asking questions and have learned something new every time I go.

They put amazing effort into following pandemic procedures. Don't want to gush but thank you for being professionals and thanks for all the help over the years.

I love the drive thru lumber yard. I hate writing bad reviews but I have to mention that the staff seem like they all hate working there. I had like 7 interactions and all were negative. On a brighter note the electrical department is very helpful and pretty top notch.

The staff at this store go above and beyond to help. Yesterday I inquired about a replacement hot/cold insert for my faucet. The lady in plumbing said they don’t sell them but she had been saving odd parts. She looked through at least a half dozen bins of surplus parts she kept until she found the one I needed. She gave it to me - no charge. This was not the first time something like this has happened to me at the Baker Drive Kent in Dartmouth.

My partner bought this drill less than a month ago, one of the batteries that came with it kicked the can for no apparent reason so we went in to get it replaced.
The first time purchasing the drill, the young man was absolutely wonderful. Today however was an absolute nightmare. They couldn't find the drill, they suggested we go to Dartmouth crossing which is out of our way, I suggested looking it up in the inventory to make sure that there really was none in store, the manager, Cheryl, asked the cashier to check Dartmouth crossings inventory, the cashier says they have 7 in stock at the store we are at, the manager says yeah check Dartmouth crossing, Dartmouth crossing has 9. No one even looks for the seven in stock even after we ask, no one apologizes to us, then when I ask how I am supposed to find out when they come back in stock at this location she says she doesn't know when they'll be in stock and when I point out that if do I call to ask their inventory will say they're in stock, she doesn't respond to me.
Rude, unhelpful, lazy.
Terrible overall experience.

Ever go to a store looking for a specific item, wander around forever looking for it, only to discover it right inside the entrance? ! Should have realized that Kent does a pretty good job stocking seasonal items (like their recyclable paper yard & garden waste bags) in high traffic areas close to the department they belong to.

Kent employee Melissa was very patient with me and my mother and explained to us how the AC unit works. Very helpful professional.

Very disappointed with kent, their commissioner at the door did let me in to help my mother that is a senior and we had to leave. Very low class place. Do your self a favor and go to home depo they dont have that non sense there and they dont over charge their customers on everything. Look for your self. Will NEVER be returning after this experience. We had hoped to purchase over 1500.00 worth of building supplies no biggie, home depo was glad to let us in to sell us everything we were looking for:)

Large store with a layout that makes it easy to find what you're looking for. Very clean inside tge store and staff are super friendly.

Some of the staff don't follow the Covid protocols, like arrows on the floor, entrances and exits, and social distancing.

Herbs gone. Lots of tomatoes. That's all I was looking for at this time. Have been asked by others on your supplies. Did not appreciate sarcastic comment by staff on my comment.

Theres new outdoor furniture in stock, Good selection. Most affordable hardware store for tongue and groove pine and outdoor rugs.

When we finally found someone to help us it was great, but it took us a while to find anyone. Also the layout is a bit of a mess, everything you would think would be together is spread out over a few different isles.

I was disappointed with the stock level. I am getting my home ready for spring and headed to for some tools and supplies. They were lacking in in half of what i had planned to buy. Maybe its better to shop online this year.

I love this Kent store way more than most.it's a smallish store where you can always find exactly what you're looking for without having to go to the giant Kent in Dartmouth crossing. It's a relaxing atmosphere where you can go in and always find a happy person who knows what they're talking about and who's willing to help! Plus they have killer sales on random stuff! Look for they're clearance section!

Get the cart inside then go out get dirt then back inside to pay then back out to vehicle very cumbersome not well thought out

I bought a king Canada 20 Ton log splitter, and found out that it didn’t come
With either engine oil or hydraulic oil, so I was quite disgruntled at the situation, considering this equipment is not cheap.
So I had words with Aaron the store manager, about this problem and assured him that I wasn’t Frustrated with him or the store, my frustration was with the manufacturer.
Anyway Aaron stepped up and made an adjustment to make it right for me
Which was greatly appreciated.
I seriously hope in the future, manufacturers state clearly what’s included and what’s not included when you make a purchase, so to avoid these situations.
Anyway Aaron thanks you have great PR skills, keep it up

It is close to my house and my husband and I are about to do a whole bunch of home repairs. We bought a faucet, a pricy one and brought it home. It was well used, super dirty and also broken.
We brought it back and the lady working in plumbing was so, so rude. She basically accused us of lying, even though I had the receipt from the day before and she had helped us the DAY BEFORE.
I will 100% not be going back. I have never been treated so rudely.

The experience was amazing. Not only did I get exactly what I needed, but it just happened to be 50% off! A knowledgeable employee guided me to the appropriate product for my particular application. Went directly home and had the job done in a matter of hours. Hadn't planned on doing it at the time, but the sale price and correct product got me motivated. Thank you Kent Building Supplies.

I love the Kent's at Dartmouth Crossing, its beautifully laid out, easy to get around, and really friendly staff.
It's really kept neat, so you can see what your looking for better.

I have a few problems with kent. The products are over priced, king canada tools break faster than ryobi and the selection is limited.

Everyone is always so helpful at Kent and they are very friendly. Always a smile and good advice. Its a great shopping experience everytime.

Terrible stocking, they hardly have anything. Also not a good selection on wood. Save your time and go to the Dartmouth Crossing location they get stocked/supplied better.

Ask for Willy if you need help! I went in there not having a clue about home renos and Willy helped me find everything I needed and didn't make me feel like an idiot for not knowing how to do simple tasks. I left feeling so well taken care of and will shop there forever!

Easy to find. A good large store. Lots of parking. Plenty of help to load large purchases. Sale price was quite good for quality item.
