Kentville Centennial Arena

We came to watch our grandkids and daughter go ice skating. They had a lot of fun and so did we watching them. We found the place to be clean and well maintained.

Clean, bright well maintained. Great ice surface. Plus has one of the best skate sharpening services around. He always puts a great edge on my skates. Rink fries by the canteen are awesome!

Is there anyone in charge of the events at the arena? Unless it's a Town of Kentville event, nothing is posted on the arena sign, on their voicemail, or listed with the Town's Recreation Department. There was a wonderful pet expo held last Sunday with many vendors who put in a huge amount of work, cost, and travel to be there. I was shocked at the poor turnout, and felt so bad for the vendors. It was embarrassing, as this event would have been packed if people knew about it! Not one thing was mentioned anywhere by the Town of Kentville or the arena. When I looked up the Kentville arena it actually said it was closed that day and there was nothing mentioned on the list of events. I was upset from witnessing the work put in by the vendors. I only heard of it that morning when I happened to see it mentioned on a Facebook group I belong to. Yes, I'm old, and this never would have happened when Frank Shay was in charge. He took pride in that place as if it was his own! What a disappointment!

Cold! Also your going to flood the ice after each period, really, it's not the N. H. L!

Pretty chilly Arena in hockey season. Old wooden seats aren t the greatest either. Does have a canteen though

Nice but it is cold. Canteen makes great French Fries but their coffee was not. Perhaps they could invest in a Kerig with coffee pods. They would not waste as much coffee pots.
