This location has very cool decor, fun and friendly service as well as EXCELLENT food. Highly recommend!

Worst donair I have had in years. Ordered a medium and large donair arrived and couldn't tell the difference between the 2 both looked like smalls meat was flavorless and tiny thin pieces and the donair sauce had absolutely no flavour not what you would expect from the "king " of donair

Just one disappointment after the other since the staff and management change.

If I could give less then 1 star I would.just found a hair baked into the bottom of the crust.

I am from Ontario and was in Nova Scotia visiting family. I had the donair plate. It was fantastic. The sauce was awesome.

Sackville Dr. Location. Pizza was completely sub par. I paid for extra cheese. It was as if they went out of their way to put as little cheese as possible on the pizza. I can't imagine what the pizza would have been like if I hadn't paid for extra cheese. Another example of an HRM pizza place that just doesn't care about repeat customers. First and last time.

Great donair. They made it just right. Meat was not over cooked and the right amount of sauce. Yummy!

Great thing about KOD is consistency. We always get what your expecting. Been ordering from them for 21 years and will continue to order in the future. One of my go to spots for poutine as all well as donair.

I ordered 2 medium 3 topping pizzas from the sackville location. Not only did it cost $39! But when I got home each pizza had only 2 toppings (both pizzas were missing green peppers). Not only am I disappointed with the price but the missing toppings.

It's ok. Used to buy straight donair meat from them, but they're now ~$6 more per pound than any other pizza place. Can't justify that.

This was the worst donair I have ever had. Onions weren’t even cut up. Tomatoes were half rotten. No donair sauce I would never order there again

I love the friendly service from all the hard workers. Great tasting food but, my favorite is the pizza. The donairs have gone down hill. Too much salt.even if I am too drunk to care it makes me feel sick. I switch to pizza.

For Friday night my Donaire should not be sober black and I can't even eat it let alone they don't even give you enough sauce to cover half of the Donair I ordered this for doordash and they contacted the store this is my fourth time attempting to go to the Sackville King of Donair I will never waste my time money for energy on this place again it is completely black Donaire for a Friday night you think it would be fresh and ready to go I have never had Joan are so blessed in my life you are not the King of Donair at all

This popped up on my feed and I realized that I forgot to leave my review. Back in April it was my best friends' birthday, and I gave him a choice of where he wanted to go for food. He chose KOD in Lower Sackville as he enjoys the KOD donair sub, so this is where we went.

Honestly the food was okay, but the way he was treated there was totally unacceptable and the reason I will never purchase food from there again, so this is the reason behind my rating of 1 star because of their demeanor and how they treated my friend.

We both drove there in our own cars and I parked towards the opposite side of the parking lot because I always park away from other vehicles. My friend parked in front of KOD. There were no signs posted at that time (not sure now since I have never been back) stating this parking spot was for staff or delivery which should mean it is an available spot to park. After we ate we were going to go for a coffee down the street at Tim's so I drove away to meet him there. I sat and waited for quite some time. Maybe 10-15 minutes or longer waiting for him. When he finally arrived he told me that one of the staff members pulled up behind him and blocked him in. He asked if they could move so he could get out and from my understanding the staff became confrontational saying how he wasn't supposed to be parked there which turned into an argument.

To be fair, I was not present for this, but he had no reason to lie to me and the fact that there was no signage posted I still can't understand why it was an issue. At any rate if this is how they treat their paying customers, I certainly will not be going there again.

Customer service was excellent, they were so friendly. Donair was on the smaller side but they were great for how busy they were.

So I was just talking to a gentleman at the store who said that they do not deliver to Bedford although I had a delivery come to Bedford two nights ago. So I’m not sure if he’s just making up his own rules because he doesn’t want to, an extra five minutes out of his way or not. But unfortunately it’ll be my last order that I ever place with this company. He was quite rude on the phone and Dismissed me and couldn’t wait to get me off the phone. I hope that the company knows what kind of employees they have working for them, and take their customers input seriously because there are a lot of other restaurants that I can be ordering from from now on

This review I was torn to write as this place was my place to go for donair in Sackville, but after ordering some this weekend I was very dissatisfied with the change of their donair sauce it tastes cheap and ruined the experience that I have always enjoyed at KOD. I will unfortunately no longer come here unless the sauce returns. This review is for donair and not pizza as I haven't had one in a while from here.

They've really gone downhill they charge you $0.40 to use the Interac machine on the size of the donaire's are very small and the tomatoes are usually not that good

When we went into store 4 months ago amazing service they were great to myself and my daughter fast great pizza.

We would normally order pizza from there for delivery and once a week or so it was our go-to place fast reliable good food great service.

About 2 weeks ago my son ordered a pizza. It was on speakerphone I heard it all. My son doesn't normally order but he did everything he was supposed to do said what he was supposed to say and the pizza never showed up an hour and a half later I called just to get an ETA cuz that wasn't normal delivery time and you know start to wonder something happened to her order.

Not sure if I spoke to an owner or a manager and older man though who took my call was extremely rude when I was very polite and just was wondering if there is an issue with our order just cuz we hadn't received it yet and I was just wondering he snapped at me told me that they thought it was for pickup because my son didn't give the address I explained I heard that he gave the address but regardless it's not pick up you know we still wanted to have our pizza delivered if that was okay he said he'll be there in 5 minutes so rude to me told me that he absolutely did not give the address and kind of shrug me off and hung up.

When the driver showed up I asked him you know if there was issues like I heard the call my son gave the address but either way the person on the phone was very rude like I was not rude I wasn't upset I was just trying to find out what under a pizza he was so rude and disrespectful and snapped at me like as if it was his order that got messed up like as if it cost him money.
The driver kind of uncomfortable with the question I could tell just was like I think he's having a bad day who knows I think he was being kind and polite.

The delivery service usually fast they can deliver guys great I tipped him. Bottom line I will never order from there again they sent me the pizza that was in the warmer for an hour and a half it was very dry and it tasted like a week old really hard it was gross I think the kids ate some but the rest of it either went to the dog or the garbage.

Had he not been such a jerk or if his approach were better then they would not have lost a lifetime customer.
Worst customer service that night. Infact so bad I will never order there or even eat their food ever again.

Went for the first and last time.we went in and ordered and took it home (5minute drive) I had a deep fried donair panzzarotti and my husband had a donair both were cold andy my donair meat tasted like fish.a major disappoint for all the hype

Cheap pizza if that's what you're after but I'd only give it a 5/10. If you want cheese on every piece this isnt the place to go. Staff wasn't very friendly on multiple occasions and they charge you extra if you dont pay in cash.it's 2020.stop nickle and diming customers to make an extra buck on the already sub par pizza. Also, be sure to train the staff on how to properly round to the nearest nickle rather than always rounding up.

The BEST donairs in Halifax area. Always hit the spot and are an authentic donair. Even my Dutch fiance loved it and he had never heard of a donair.

Their food is not very good, they don't listen when asked to double cook your pizza, the guy looked stunned when asked. My brother-in-law started KD, and he would be turning in his grave at the way it's been run.

Pretty gross. Ordered a large Donaire with cheese.opened it up grease the meat looked old and dry. Took two bites threw the rest out.stomach hurts been hurting and have to run to bathroom. Won't be ordering from them again they should change the name.

The 10.99 pickup special is a great deal! Sure, there is not heaping loads of ingredients on it, but it's still good pizza.

Best slice and a pop in hrm, staff are nice, polite clean working environment. Great food, also the first to serve donair which is awesome not too spicy.love it.

Sooo good! I had the king donair, so much meat I took some home. The Halifax sauce is the best!

The food was amazing. Great service. Friendly. It would be 5 stars except there was a staple in my poutine. I would have returned but I ordered it to go and ate it with my son on the train ride back home to Ontario. Just wanted to give the place the head up to be careful in the kitchen. No harm done I noticed it way before putting it in my sons mouth. Threw it away. We did get to eat the donair which was delicious. Anyways accidents happen.

Was treated so badly there will never go back. Rude, they even placed our order upside down in the take out bag. If I could give them a minus I would! Customer service was definitely non existent in this restaurant.

I used to really love KOD.but after getting a few of the smallest and not very good donairs I've ever had. I have to say that either this location was having a very off night. Or things have changed and not inna good way. While i still really like and recomend KOD.i won't be able to recomend the lower sackville location to anyone

Love the donairs here! Also love the donair pizzas although they could use more tomatoes and onions. Lovely crust!
