Kofuku Japanese and Thai

A lovely experience every time we go! The service is always perfect and the food is truly something special. I also highly recommend trying the Sake flight, you won't be disappointed.

I might try again.ginger beef is ok. The green curry is flavorless. Luckily I had an uber eats promotion. Would never spend 20$ on this. It's pathetic.

I had assorted nigiri and squid red curry. It is my second visit here and I love it! One of Best Nigiri in Halifax! And I also recommend ' ginger Beef'.

This place is so great. Staff is fantastic, food is amazing. Avocado salad, eggplant appetizer and double happiness roll are 10/10. Lunch specials are a great deal as well.

Amazing food. Great for those with celiac disease: zero cross contaminated issues with gluten, when ordering gluten free foods. Highly recommend the gluten free cashew nut chicken and sweet and sour soup. Only thing is that they could have more gluten free options.

I wanted a new sushi spot and found this one. It’s Japanese and Thai! They have two menus to order from which is nice. The spot is cute and cozy for a date. The staff was friendly and the service was good. Their sushi was pretty tasty. I’d recommend giving it a try if you like Thai and/or Japanese food in general.

This place is sick, by far the best Thai spot in Halifax, like by a long shot. They also have a whole Japanese section that I've yet to try, because every time I come here I can't resist all of the home made appetizers, pad Thai, and other dishes.

This is currently my favourite place to eat! The food is amazing and the vibe is perfect, along with a friendly staff. We haven’t had to wait for a seat or very long for our food and it has been exceptional. If you like Sushi or Thai food than this is a must try spot and I’d imagine everything on their menu is super delicious, (although it’s hard not to order the same thing you had last time because you’ll have enjoyed it so much and be craving it), like the best tuna nigiri, the Kofuku signature roll and their tasty brown rice tea. Writing this review makes me want to go there right now and I just finished supper. The ginger beef is also wicked good, as is the sampler appetizer, (especially the beef cakes). I’ll be back.

My husband and I went to Kofuku for the first time this evening, and it did not disappoint! The red curry was so fresh and the homemade sauce was delicious! My husband had the cashew chicken and it exceeded his expectations! We also shared the beef cakes and they were an amazing starter! Staff we super friendly! Would highly recommend!

Really nice spot sushi is some of the best in the city and the Thai food is great as well. Special shout out to the mango salad!

Awesome service and cozy atmosphere. The food seems better quality than other similar places, but I found not too many vegan options.

Had their Chicken kaarage Ramen and sushi, both were absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend. Great little spot worth while.

We just got both of their Dine Around Halifax offers and they did not disappoint. The good was flavorful, sushi was perfect, and the service was fantastic.

We will definitely be back.

I am IN LOVE with Kofuku's spicy tuna rolls! Their Vermicelli bowls are also amazing! Oh yeah, the fresh rolls? Heaven! Awesome local beer selection too!

Really nice little restaurant! The pork dumpling and edamame appetizers were very tasty but the satay chicken was amazing! The and Chicken Pad Thai and Salt-and-Pepper Squid was also good, and while the ingredients were all really fresh and tasty in the Tonkatsu Ramen, it appeared to be missing something to take it over the top. All in all a really good meal with good sized portions.

One of the best meals I've had in a while! Everything was fresh and full of flavour. 2 of us had Thai and the other 2 had Japanese and all 4 meals were beautifully presented and delicious. Very reasonable prices. The server was friendly and helpful as well. We're already thinking about what we'll order the next time we go!

Best restaurant in Halifax. Everything they make is incredible and from scratch, my favorites are the ginger beef, udon noodles and basically any of the sushi.

So delicious! Everything tasted so fresh and flavourful, I have only good things to say. Our waitress was also super helpful and friendly and we didn’t feel like we had to wait too long for anything. We got the papaya salad (tastes just like it does it Thailand!), green curry (also amazing) and the ginger beef which was soooo tasty and not too sweet, which I find can happen sometimes. Overall, great place I’m definitely going to be coming back soon!

We are in love with their Green Dragon roll and Pad Thai! They have the freshest sushi we've found in Halifax so far and the perfect blend of spicy, sweet and tangy in the Pad Thai sauce. I can't wait to one day try their ramen since it's only offered as a dine in option.

First time eating food from this place and was pleasantly surprised. Not the best Pad Thai I have had but pretty damn good as was the cashew nut chicken.

Loved it! Had the Thai cashew chicken with a side of rice. Nicely spicey, lovely flavour. We'll be back!

I am so grateful for this new sushi spot! Today was my first time ordering but certainly will not be my last. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so authentic and our server was incredibly kind and attentive. We tried the spicy salmon and tuna rolls, the Kofuku signature roll and the Remon roll. Each roll was made with care and attention to detail, with quality ingredients. They have a house-made soy sauce, as well, which is delicious. Can’t wait to try more items from their menu!

At a time where the North End is getting fancier and more expensive by the week, Kofuku is a shining ray of hope: a truly wonderful gem of a spot with an extremely affordable menu. Japanese sushi, made to perfection, together along sumptuous Thai dishes.
We live around the corner and feel so lucky to have this new neighbour. A real delight!

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I've tried many items on the menu and every one of them is made with extremely high quality ingredients and love - not to mention that they are all unbelievably tasty. Great portion sizes for the price as well.

The staff are very lovely and provide exceptional customer service. I've been eating here a few times a month since they opened and will continue to do so because they are so wonderful.

Found this place by accident in search of some soup on a cold evening. Ordered the Hot Sour Thai Soup, Spicy Thai Vegetables and Jasmine Rice. It was all incredible. It took a little longer than I hoped but I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you everyone at Kofuku!

Awesome food and service! We had the Thai eggplant with basil, ginger chicken, and fresh rolls as an appetizer. We asked for the ginger chicken to be very spicy and it was great! All sauces were made in house and they were delicious. Looking forward to trying out the sushi next time!

The food here is amazing! Had quite few dishes and loved everyone of them! Best Thai/Japanese food in they city! I crave their food now it so good!

Delicious! The owner was so sweet when I picked up my takeout, and explained that everything is homemade, even the soy sauce! Everything was so tasty, and I was impressed just how many different flavours there were. Really high quality. We had salad rolls, dumplings, agedashi tofu, pineapple chicken, cashew veg, and nigiri, and were impressed by every single thing:)
