La Piazza Resto Cafe

The food was exquisite, the place was very cozy and simple, the girl who served us was super attentive and delicate. I already want to return!

I’m compelled to award a 5-star rating due to the exceptional service, delectable cuisine, and primarily, the unparalleled ambiance. Our server, Gabby, exuded politeness and friendliness that added to our delightful experience! This establishment stands as one of the finest and most reasonably priced restaurants in Halifax. A true gem in the culinary scene!

I had mussels. They were going and came what they called puff bread. It was quite good. My son ordered the hullume salad. It was exactly like a caprese salad but instead of buffalo mozzarella it came with hullume cheese. It was tasty but wow was it ever small for the price. My mussels were priced appropriately. Overall good experience. Service was very good.

My husband made a reservation for our family of three. They told us it was no problem. We get to the restaurant and the servers are talking in front of us about how we need to be done in an hour as they have bigger crowds coming in later and want to have free tables. Already rude but we carried on, they continue to take us upstairs and there’s a lady who stops us half way up the stairs and says to our face “no up here is not for you” makes us turn around with my toddler in my arms in a steep stairway and tries to sit a family of three at a single table. At this point I was extremely frustrated so we decided to leave. The girl who was trying to seat us was lovely, in their defence. However no one wants to go out for a family meal and feel like they are an inconvenience anywhere, especially at an expensive restaurant. Terrible first experience, which sucks because I’ve heard great things about this place.

What a rip off. Ordered delivery and ordered the scallops. They charge nearly $20 for these (18 exactly) and I thought it was going to be great until it showed up with 3 scallops that were so average in taste. Huge rip off and won't buying their food again.

We have had 2 fabulous meals here visiting from Victoria BC. Diala our server is warm and engaging and has a beautiful smile. The lobster ravioli was sublime just the right amount of creamy rose sauce. The pizzas were the best we ever had and we love wood fire pizzas. Our only issue is this is a bit far to be our favorite neighborhood haunt. Thank you for the delicious lemon cake-subprimo!

So happy to see accommodation for gluten-free and vegan diners. The servers were top-notch, knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly as well.
