I have wonderful memories of this campground from 60 years ago. My father did grounds maintenance at the campsite while he was posted to Greenwood. At the time, us kids were the "leech patrol" in the swimming area. Remember also great white swans would use the lake.

You will not ever experience a friendlier and more helpful staff than the people who work here.
My Grandson and I spent 9 days here. The first 3 days we were tent camping.
After the rain came down hard each night, we were feeling wet and soggy.
We changed over to a cottage. It was blissfully wonderful. The place was clean, it was stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals and the view from the deck was wonderful. Our place had 2 bedrooms, a combined living room, kitchen and dining area and a nice deck. The deck had a BBQ ready for cooking and a nice patio set. Back to the view from the deck. Down a few steps, to a nice fire pit. It has “built for toasting marshmallows” written all over it. 10-12 feet from there was your own spot to launch a canoe, kayak or paddle board. Or, jump in for a refreshing swim. The view of the lake was mesmerizing. The lake water is clean and without algae. Again the staff were right there to assist us with the move from our campsite to the cottage. We invited the staff over for a BBQ turkey dinner a few nights before we left. It was so much fun. They didn’t come empty handed. We had so much food! Lots of laughter and shared many stories. I highly recommend this place. Truly a gem hidden away in the lovely area of Springfield, Nova Scotia Canada

Stay away from the cabins!

I brought my family there to stay at cabin 8 recently. We rented it for a week, but stayed only 2 nights.
The first night was by myself and I didn't really pay attention to my surroundings. But the next day before my family arrived, I noticed a hole in the floor taped over with clear red tape, the ceiling is warped in several places, obviously from water damage. The wall was buckling out from water damage too, and you can see black mold all over the insulation. And the deck needed a good power wash to get the green mold off that sticks to your clothes. But our final straw was the ants. I have 2 young children and a baby. And it's not fun seeing fire ants crawling over your baby. My daughter who's nonverbal, was bit by one of the big red ones because she started crying and that's what I found around her.

The cabin is no longer safe for children.

We packed up on the second morning (there first) and left. I paid for an entire week that cost about $740 with taxes. They gave us $50 back as reimbursement, for leaving 5 days early, from their dilapidated cabin.

So unfortunately I wouldn't recommend staying in the cabins with family. You're putting your family's health at risk by staying in their decaying, moldy cabins, that from the inside look like there about collapse.

Good campground that has taken a serious turn for the worse! Webpage is not updated. No longer have docks to moor your boats, no laundry, No potable water. Faiths review below is an employ trying to boost revenue. Two seasonal campers have left including ourselves and it is the beginning of the year. Five more to leave before the year is out. It was a wonderful place in the past.

Just spent Victoria Day Weekend in Cabin 3 and had the best time! We brought bottled water, food, towels, blankets and a change of clothes, everything else was provided! Utensils, plates, cups etc was all there. I would recommend bringing paper towel and garbage bags.

We had a beautiful fire pit, watched the sunset both nights, went for a swim in the lake and while it rained one afternoon we rented a movie and made snacks in our kitchen.

Beds were a little uncomfortable but nothing a sleeping bag doesn't help with.
