Lakelawn B&B and Motel

This is a simple motel. Rooms are small but comfortable. Nothing fancy but wasn't visiting for fancy. Good location. Prices fair. Seemed like a great breakfast available, juice muffins coffee cereal all help yourself. We just did takeout coffee so not sure what was available when eating in.

I wish there were 10 stars available, for the service we recieved. Thank you Sophia and all the wonderful people who work there. Our stay was beyond pleasent. We would recommend them to anyone who wants a no hassle, relaxing stay in Yarmouth or even Southern NS.

A beautifully maintained old school motel. The room was very clean and quaint. Full breakfast was more than expected. Staff was very professional and friendly. A very pleasant experience.

Excellent location, the drive up units are clean, the bed is very good. This is an excellent value motel.

'THE' BEST ACCOMODATION I HAVE EVER BOOKED! Staff was very nice! Rooms were good too! Toiletries were nice and the Motel Amenities were good too! Breakfast was really good. It was freshly made and had a lot of options! I like how they had mini cereal portions instead of those machines that give you a heavy portion other fancy hotels have! All in all, it was a great experience! Thanks to Pauline for making our room! Also the TV was awesome!

Unfortunately the mattress was as hard as rocks.there was no air conditioning and the room was hot and stuffy.we ended up having to het up and leave at 5 am.having said that the staff was very friendly and tried to help, which was very appreciated

The Lakelawn B and B Motel is an excellent place to stay in Yarmouth. I was comfortable and my unit had windows which I could open for fresh air. That is important to me. It was quiet at night and offered a lovely breakfast in a beautiful dining room in the morning. I stayed two nights and was very pleased and happy with the location, the service and the hospitality. I would certainly stay there again.

Smallish Inn, with an old-school feel. I usually stayed here when I used the ferry in days gone by. The once breakfast-included price, is now $10 extra. It was still worth it. Eggs, ham, roasted potatoes toast, coffee, OJ, and a pile of assorted fruit of all kinds. I will stay there again, no problem. They accommodated 3 motorcycling males with 3 beds. Bonus!

Great motel. Did the job perfectly and was close to the downtown. Cute little spot with great staff.

My husband and I stayed here in October during a tour of the area. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the curb appeal of the entire property. Much attention has been paid to making clients comfortable and welcome. Matthew is a wonderful host, and very professional in his approach to the business.yet personable and open to chatting with clients to make the experience even more memorable. It's not the Ritz, but if you appreciate the above qualities, you will be very pleased with your stay. The historic building is fascinating, as is the decor in the office and the dining room. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. Thank you, Matthew, for a memorable experience!

After a hurricane Matthew came thru with all the comforts, despite having a huge tree down that restricted cable.so comfy

Super cute main office and breakfast area. Our room was nice sized and the pillows were super fluffy.

The reviews were good so we booked our stay.and it was great! In all my travels I've never had a cleaner room. The service was above and beyond. Breakfast was wonderful. The price was sooo affordable. I'll never stay anywhere else but here, next time we're in Yarmouth!

Honorable owners and cleanest rooms
My wife and I stayed with the lakelawn for 2 weeks. We met other people from all around the world during our stay. We all had one thing in common. We all loved the place. The cleanest rooms we ever saw in our whole traveling career and the kindest people and most generous owners you could ever meet. I admire their hard work and we loved the place and the service.

Great customer Service
We are glad we decided to drive to Canada after the ferry cancelled. We had to change our dates and he made the changes for free and did not charge is the fees, although we were prepared to pay it. It was clear in the policy. When we arrived we discovered why the have the best ratings in Yarmouth NS. We will be back. This place was all in all excellent.

Lovely motel, friendly host, cute little rooms. This motel is well maintained, clean and the beds are so comfy that I feel like home. After doing 5hours of driving, everyone had a great night of sleep. And my cat was able to enjoy the morning sun since this is pet friendly:) My only negative is that I regret verg much not staying another night. We'll be back again from Montreal and hope to meet the owner again.

We were very impressed with how well maintained the hotel was, the Antigues collectibles, cleanliness of the room and the beautiful flowers that greeted us. The owner was very pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definely be back and will share this amazing place with our friends

Impossible to deal with. Because of the ferry cancelation, the BB refused to waive fees. This was beyond our control

Dealing with this establishment was a nightmare. We were forced to cancel our reservation because of the ferry closure. Inspite of the fact that Travelocity worked diligently to refund our money. The manager was rude to them and to my husband and myself. Although he did wave some reservations he refused to work with us. This is an unethical way to make money. I have visited Nova Scotia before and encountered kind helpful people. I hope he does not reflect the new Nova Scotia. Buyer beware!

It is a very nicely taken care of motel. However, there was a musty smell in the room. The decor was alittle outdated. I would suggest maybe using some local photos for room pictures. The bed sagged in the middle. The place was very pleasant other than that.

Once again my stay at lake LAWN motel was exceptional, room was very comfortable, quiet and service was second to none. I recommend staying here to all, is my place to stay while in Yarmouth

Fantastic place to stay! If you're working on the road, or looking for a nice, quiet getaway this is the place. It has a cozy feel to it and you're treated like family. There is no air conditioning but the breeze off the ocean and the fans in the room definitely make up for it.
Matt, the owner is exceptional and is always accommodating to everyone. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. They have a quiet time after 10pm and I've never had an issue here.
I'd recommend this place to anyone for their vacation. Give it a try and I promise you'll want to return. I've stayed here numerous time and will continue to do so.

We stayed here two weeks ago on our overnight trip around from the south shore through to the valley. Matthew, the owner/manager was very friendly. We stayed in one of the motel rooms that was two adjoined rooms, room 24, and it was super clean, very roomy, with everything you'd need. There was a mini fridge and microwave, and though there may not be air conditioning (we didn't need it, but some seem to prefer it) there were ceiling fans and box fans in both rooms, not to mention so many windows in both rooms to be able to open for lots of fresh air. We would stay there again!
