The best thing I've ever eaten! One order is easily enough for two servings. Beware that unless you ask for it to be heated up it won't be warm, there is nowhere to sit there and cutlery is not provided. It appears it's meant to take home to eat.

I bought cutlery from the nearby dollar store and ate in the park:) Would come again anytime!

What a happy, delicious discovery. Suni is a delightful person and a fantastic chef. Such delicious and affordable meals. We will return.

You may wonder why these are all five-star reviews. Believe them. It's worth a detour from the main drag. Arrive early: the amazing owner makes different dishes each day, and closes when sold out. The locals go there often.

A truly authentic Sri Lankan eating experience. I have lots of experience with Sri Lankan food and this is umongst the best I have ever had. Wonderfully seasoned and spiced, just enough for a nice endorphin rush. Owned by a most lovely and charming lady, who for Sri Lankans will remind you of their favorite "aunty, ". Highly recommended, and a great break meal from the local cuisine. I wish I could come back more often but live on the other end of the country. Also I think it's very good value at $20 which will be enough for two of the biggest eaters.

Great food, takeout only, the owner will give you a sample to try. Beg for smaller portions unless you want to save some for dinner! We ate in the church park just uphill — lovely.

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. Sunni, the woman working in the store, was so kind and helpful. They had great vegetarian options with huge portion sizes for a very fair price.

We visited from Montreal last summer and meant to eat at Lamprai & Spice after having read the glowing reviews but the timing was never right. We had the chance to return to Lunenburg in December and I made it a point to stop by (twice before her well-deserved holiday) - the reviews are right, this is surely the gem of Lunenburg! The food is prepared and served with care and love. Sunni is as much a part of the overall delightful experience as is her delectable dishes. Looking forward to our return visits.

If you're in Lunenburg, make this a must stop. Be sure to go sooner rather than later as they sell out food fast. It's phenomenal, we had the fried chicken with curry carrots and rice. With a slice of cake that could have fed four, yet the two of us devoured it because it was absolutely delicious.

This is a small takeout restaurant that we came upon accidentally, but what a nice accident it was! The lady that served us was so nice & polite:) We ordered the spicy chicken curry on rice with potato roti, MAN was it DELICIOUS. It's a small place & can be missed if you're no looking for it. We ordered one meal and it's fit for a King (good for the 2 of us). Would absolutely go back if we are ever in Lunenburg, NS:)

Who knew Sri Lanka has the best food and people. Go talk to Suni, she'll make you happy. Then eat her food, happiness will continue. I even like the vegetarian options, which is not me. Just make sure you're hungry because you are going to get a lot of food.

I don’t know what’s better, the curry or the service. The food is absolutely delicious and the service was so friendly and welcoming. A must try!

We are so lucky to have Suni's home cooked Sri Lankan food in the South Shore. It is made with love, with wonderful flavors, generous portions (two meals for us last 1.5 meals for three people) and a Canadian touch. Everything is delicious but my favorites are the cashew curry, butter chicken and dhal. Her desserts are also fantastic, so make sure to save room.

Sunita makes amazing Sri lankan food. We had the shrimp curry and it was just splendid. I am from south India myself and it was a great treat in the middle of Nova Scotia. Will definitely be back soon!

What else can be said that hasn't been said before? The food my sister, Dad and I ate last week was exquisite- the balancing of spices, the presentation of the food so enticing to the eye, and the different scents to the nose, each bite enjoyable, and the sunny and gracious attitude of the owner, Suni, made for a delectable meal that we hope to repeat soon! Nice to see Lunenburg diversifying its cuisine!

This is a FANTASTIC spot. I live in the area and will pop in for lunch every so often and every single time the food is DELICIOUS. The food is clearly made with care and thought - portion sizes and prices are just right for a treat lunch. Everything is seasoned expertly and is flavourful and exciting. The decor is cheerful and has personality. Great desserts! No seating which is fine by me; Lamprai & Spice is one of my favourite spots in town to pick up lunch and eat in the park or on the public wharf. Highly recommend.

I am so happy that I was able to scoop up two of Suni’s absolutely delicious meals today for me and my husband! I tried yesterday but was too late so I made sure to be early today and SO HAPPY i did!
Such bright and vibrant layers of flavor in each dish and Suni herself is such a lovely person, you can just tell how passionate she is about offering amazing food made with love to her customers.

Genuine service with a smile and the curries taste fantastic too! Suni was worried that our British tastebuds would judge harshly, but she has nothing to worry about. Perfectly spiced and flavored, we'll be back.

The food was delicious. The word needs to be spread. Great prices and amount. Suni is the owner. One of the nicest ladies you’ll ever meet. Drop in and try this delicious food!
