3 minutes later order arrives. 1 single slice of toast with a few pieces of lobster folded in half and held together by 2 toothpicks. Placed on single leaf of iceberg lettuce. Literally 2 bites of food. Plus smallest, microwaved bowl of soup.
‘Can I pay now please? ’
‘Yes sir, that will be $27 dollars’

Acadian menu describes fish cakes are molded into croquettes and pan fried. Certainly not what we were served. Being Acadian, I have never seen a deep fried fish cake. So very disappointed. I would definitely not recommend this item if you want to sa or an Acadian dish!

Cooked a chicken sandwich in fish fryer so it tasted like fish, the stir fry was so covered in sauce it was like soup or mushy rice

A must must try place for dinner. Their seafood stir fry and pasta are most delicious. Staff is super friendly. 10/10 stars

Literally got only French fries and they were quite mediocre. How a restaurant screws uo French fries is beyond me. The service was pretty good though.

We had soup and stir fries (chicken & seafood), and both were very good, tasted fresh & home made.

There was live music midweek. Kitchen and band both wrapped up at 8pm, but the bar stayed open later.

Nice restaurant to sit down after touring the Cabot Trail. Staffs here are nice and food quality is fine.

Went out whale watching and this restaurant was recommended to us when we asked where to eat. Did not disappoint. Friendly staff and great menu selection. Had the fresh seafood platter? Full lobster, crab mussels, scallops and shrimp. Wow it was so good. It came with rolls, fresh veggies and I got the rice which was very tasty. The lady was even kind enough to show me how to eat the crab legs and lobster. Excellent service with a smile. Will be back again.

Good food and service. We came here for breakfast before hitting the Cabot trail. Good was great. Did not have to wait long

The combination of the local music band and the simple atmosphere gave us a cosy evening. Service was fast, good, friendly, no frills.
The lobster was fresh as I expected but at a price, vegetables overcooked may be thats the way they eat it there. Skip the potato! I came for the lobster afterall

A great all around restaurant, except for the vegetables, that arrived way overcooked (or came out of a can?) A little pricey for what you get, but as a whole done right, with fast service and a warm welcome.

Amazing food and incredible service. Music on Friday night and Saturday night. Never disappoints.

Breakfast was delicious. Really neat looking inside. Staff were friendly. I did find it over-priced though for breakfast.

Good place to stop for sea food, but why does no one have clam chowder? Everyone has fish or seafood chowder and both have no clams in them.

I really enjoyed my meal. The service was excellent! I had pasta with seafood so enjoyable! There was live music too.

Waited 50 minutes for the food. Asked the manager what is going on and he said it is ok to wait 50 minutes for the food. After that the cook came to the table and yelled at us that the food will be ready when it’s ready. I went back to the manager that said it is ok for the cook to shout at the guests. Terrible restaurant! Will never in my life go there even if they will pay me.

Awesome breakfast, and I loved touring the lounge! I've never seen so many sport (especially hockey) jerseys in one spot!

Very friendly place good variety on the menu. I had the soup of the day, spicy vegetable beef and a Greek salad. It has something for anyone.

They charged $35 for soggy Lobster Rolls laying on an ugly bed of chunky iceberg lettuce. Just a waste of money

Starting off by saying I never leave reviews but I just needed to warn people in this case. Friends and I were visiting cheticamp and wanted to stop for something to eat. I have celiac disease so I of course always need to carefully study a menu and read reviews before going somewhere. We went to Le Gabriel because of the good reviews I saw, which included that they have a separate fryer. After examining the menu, it said a large portion on their menu was Gluten Free however, when our waiter came over it turned out only a VERY small portion of the menu was actually GF and they share the same fryer as everything else. I was very disappointed to say the least. Celiac's/ gluten sensitive people beware!

Food was fantastic. Live music was great. Worst old fashioned cocktail ever, don't order it. Everything else recommended.

Great seafood chowder, spicy beef soup and fish cakes. Staff friendly. Not sure why people left neg feedback on fish cakes. They were delicious! Recommended!

Went there for a quick lunch and was very happy with my experience! I had the fish and chips which were delicious and fresh. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was very clean and followed covid rules. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

I was shocked when I asked if there was anything gluten free and the nice host offered me the GLUTEN FREE MENU. A whole menu dedicated to allergies! I got salad with a crispy gluten free fish & it was SO GOOD! So many other things I'd want to try from that menu! Highly recommend

Were very disappointed to come to the restaurant at 8 pm to see that the place was already closed, although the sign said it should be open til 9 pm.

Got the le gabriel burger the hamburger wasnt a fresh patty it was a frozen one served with overcooked fries and served without condiments Macdonalds would have been a better choice. Not much choice when doing the trail I will not return.

A great stop for the meal of the time of the day. The front entrance lighthouse made it the place to go for us for lunch.

The Omelettes at Le Gabriel hit the spot for an early breakfast. With this portion size I think lunch will just be mid afternoon snack. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Fun atmosphere, really fast friendly service. I wish they had a veggie burger but the wrap and grilled cheese are yummy options.

Ate here while staying in Chéticamp. Friendly service and great food! Had thr pan-fried Haddock. Huge portions and very tasty! Great fries too! Had great live entertainment. They were fantastic! (3 guys with guitars. Awsome!)

Excellent customer service! Definitely a family owned business that cares! Food was delicious and atmosphere was fab too! We had some of the traditional Acadian platter (fish cakes, pickle sauce, meat pie & home fries) and it was super yummy! Kids were so happy to see the toy box at the end too! Great place to stop with the family! They have a lounge/bar area too.

The lobster roll was done on sandwich bread that probably came from dempsters day olds. It was also really lacklustre compared to lobster in other spots. Lighting inside was dark and the smell was off. But it seemed pretty clean even though it was older. The staff was also really nice.

In all this place was expensive even though the food was meh. I also found the fries way too greasy. Would never return or recommend.
