FIRST TIME getting my nails done at this salon for new years! And it turned out absolutely beautiful… the patience, and precision when shaping the nails and making sure it was what i wanted was phenomenal. I WILL BE COMING BACK to get my nails done again soon! Thank you:)

Acrylics lasted not even two weeks, very disappointed, glue used was weak and acrylics were not properly done.

Small quirky spot on quinpool- usually pretty decent parking situation on the side streets or nearby lots. I personally don’t like getting my nails done but have been loving coming to Lees. It’s usually hard for me to sit still for so long but there’s usually a movie or music videos on to keep my attention and help pass the time. My nails have turned out so lovely every time. I’m in love with Queenie, she’s so sweet and patient and accommodating and she always makes sure I’m happy with what she’s done before proceeding.

Would definitely recommend for anyone in the area for acrylic or gel nails.

They were already damaged so I HAD them removed, getting them removed did not do this, you did.
I was told that the price was 75$ and that was it, I was absolutely never told that anything cost extra, so that’s a lie.

And I’m not going to come back to a place to fix my nails when they should’ve been done right in the first place.
Avoid at all costs!

My experience here was less than awesome, I left another review but it disappeared. All my nails afterward pointed upwards, were lumpy and uneven on the bottoms, and I had to remove them after a little less than two weeks of having them, because they started pitting into my real nail, the pitting photos were taken today and I removed them on September 16th so my nail beds are damaged.
My cuticles were shredded after my appointment and my fingers were all sore and red, and my nails were filed way too thin… also to mention I was quoted 75$ for my full set and then wasn’t told about any up charges during my appointment I had to pay 128$ awful.

Good service with caring staff. Really glad I found this place! Book online to avoid any waits, especially on the weekend.

I’ve been looking around for a new place to get my nails done and multiple people that complimented my last set that I got done while I was away told me to go to lees nails after I mentioned I was looking for a place in halifax to get them done again. I just walked in so I didn’t send in the design I wanted before hand which I’m thinking I should have done. I originally wanted a design in chrome, however they were unable to do it when when they got to drawing on the design even after showing them a picture of what I wanted when I first sat down. The first guy who did the shaping and acrylic was super nice and he did amazing, but someone else switched to do the design and then when they weren’t able to do it I decided to change the it to something way more simple without chrome. This is when they switched again to another person to try and attempt. The design isn't bad since they are just random squiggles that you can’t really mess up, but the colour of some of them is a little splotchy in places. I probably should have just said no to the design when one hand was done and gone with plain before I put it in the light but I had already had them redo them multiple times and was starting to feel bad, however they were very nice when I would ask them to fix something and I appreciate their effort in trying to make me satisfied. I wasn’t the happiest when they were done but I wasn’t upset because they don’t look too bad just not what I originally wanted, that was until I got to the counter to pay and was told they were $100 which seemed like a lot for what I got. I payed it anyway and left a tip on top of that because the first guy did extremely well. I was shocked to find out how much the design was especially since I had to make it more simple and after multiple redos. I don’t want to be rude or bash this salon, I am just disappointed in the process/results after seeing the amazing work they have posted online and all the positive reviews people have given me about this place. For anyone looking into going here, it’s a great place and they can do a perfect shape and base colour, but I think you may have to have certain techs do the design if you want anything on your nails.

I fell in love with this nail place on my first visit. It is a true Ma & Pa business that has been a fixture in the area for many years. While there, I discovered they have a loyal, faithful clientele who have stuck with them over the decades. I immediately saw why!
The owners (and their family) themselves, are doing the work, and, are very kind, patient, and, gentle. Their wealth of experience shows, and it seems the services they provide have become muscle-memory, as they are confident, and technically on point.
They are attentive and willing to provide exactly what the client wants, from the standard French manicure, to fancier, custom, nail art.
This place feels like the “Cheers” of the nails world.
While there, I learned a bit about their story from the family patriarch, who was tending personally to my nails. I felt honoured.
He was witty and sweet while doing my French nails, and, he did a fantastic job.
He told me their daughter had written a book, inspired by their family’s story, so, of course, I couldn’t leave without a signed copy!
I had a delightful human experience there, plus, left with some great nails. Win/Win!

Very accomodating place as walk ins with my 2 daughters while exploring Halifax. Excellent prices and friendly staff!
