Excellent restaurant; top notch service, delicious food, beautiful venue! We'll definitely go back!

Super relaxed atmosphere with some great food. Being welcomed with a taste of hummus and babaganoush with a glass of lemon was a great treat.

A fairly plain but clean restaurant- excellent food - superb service- friendly atmosphere- went for the first time last night- so very impressed- unfortunately cannot return because a glass of cheap wine (a necessary part of any good meal) cost $16. I have no problem paying high prices for good food.but high cost cheap wine falls into the gouging category and I cannot support that

From the moment I walked in the door, I could feel the love that the owner put into every aspect of her establishment. From the decor to the food. The complementary lemonade along with warm pita hummus grape leaves and the best Baba ganoush I ever tasted in my life. Being that I eat a vegan diet the menu was filled with many tasty options. Carrot salad Every one needs to try it. The lentil soup was filled with amazing spices and flavors. The white rice was filled with flavor. I never tasted white rice with so much flavor. The service was amazing, the food was great and the ambiance was inviting and warm. The dessert menu is great too. Everything is made fresh and with the finest ingredients and spices. I will definitely return and recommend this place to all of my friends family and acquaintances.

I got an order. Some of the items were not available which I agree with on Christmas day. BUT, I would like to say that the service was quick but very minimal for the amount I paid. It is pathetic to know that shop owners should know how customers should be treated. The gave me a salad which was like a spoonful of salad and since I didn't take the pita and opted to take more rice. But it seems like they limit rice which is cheap. I hope that owners should not screw customers.

Today for lunch we thought we would try something a little different so we decided on The Lemon Tree Restaurant in Bedford and we were not disappointed. We were greeted with a complimentary plate of pita, hummus, and a type of pickle spread (not sure of the name).

We ordered 2 plates of dolmes (grape leaves) which were delicious and services with naan on the side which I enjoyed. I ordered the lentil soup with side salad which I upgraded to Greek salad which I would rate 4.7/5. The Greek salad was fresh with what looked like freshly made feta cheese (not sure from where) and the soup was bursting with flavour and had a little spicey kick to it which would be great on a cold day. If you like a little/medium spicey you should give this soup a try. My feedback about the soup would be to leave some lentals in soup. The soup was tasty but even though it was mental soup, there were no lentals in it which I really missed. On the other hand we were thinking about ordering desert but was told that were closing in 10 minutes so we could take it to go if we wanted to. We did not realize they closed so early on a Sunday, or would have came another day so we would not be rushed.

My wife ordered the lamb kabob wrap which she really enjoyed. She didn't care for the carrot salad either but enjoyed the wrap and especially the rice and rated her food at 4.8/5. In fact both my wife and daughter couldn't stop talking about how good the rice was.

My daughter ordered the Lamb Tandir plate which she thought was good and rated it 4.5/5. She said the carrot salad was not for her, but other than that it was a 5/5. Personally, I tried the carrot salad and thought it was different but tasty.

The restaurant was clean and the waitress was friendly and helpful. The prices were typical of Mediterranean cuisine in Halifax. Not cheap, but not outlandish expensive. I was not overly full but no hungry either so the portions were okay.

Overall, I would rate it as a 4.7/5 if I could but will round up give a 5/5 based on the taste and quality of food we received. If you enjoy Turkish food, this place is worth trying.

Food was delicious. I loved the sample plate you get before your meal. The zucchini fritters were very tasty. The rice is so buttery and the chicken kabobs were seasoned very well. I'll be back for sure.

The ambiance is very nice - chic and cosy at the same time. It appears to be a family run restaurant and only one person is taking care of the guests. We had to wait a bit to be seated. The food, however, was delivered in record time.
We were pleasantly surprised that they offered a complimentary beverage and a small plate of appetizers.
The dishes were very tasty and the portions were just right.
I was not too impressed with the dessert, though.
Overall, I highly recommend this place. We will visit again, for sure!

Thoroughly enjoyed sampling and sharing all the appetizers for our first time at Lemon Tree. Food presentation, service and atmosphere were top notch. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone new to Turkish cuisine.

Starter pitas with various dips, and fresh lemonade when you're seated. Had the chicken wrap, with side Caesar salad, excellent!

I loved everything about this place. I would return to Halifax just.to eat there. They served lemonade to start the meal. I loved the small servings of appetizers.

Food was delicious. The staff was very welcoming and service was quick. I also liked the vibe of the restaurant, interior design is nice and they also have a nice terrace. Would definitely recommend it.

I told them I had a tomato allergy, they refused to substitute the salad and added tomato to the dolmas that I ordered. I'd heard highly of them and I am deeply disappointed.

Food was exceptional, and the staff were absolutely wonderful! Will definitely be eating here again.

Went with my Mother and Aunt for her birthday. The very polite gentlemen were great. Very professional. Made sure to check often if we needed anything. Food is fantastic. Had the veggie 4 choice menu, so hard to decide, had Turkish coffee and split baklava dessert. So delish! If you haven't been, please try.

I ordered a quinoa salad and it was really tasteless. I asked for a piece of lemon to squeeze over it because it had absolutely no flavour. Didn’t help much. My lunch partner had an equally tasteless Greek salad. They only had 2 of the desserts listed on the menu so we ordered Baklava but it too had no flavour at all. We certainly won’t be back!

Such yummy food. I love the lemonaid they give you and the little tasty appetizer they bring out before your food arrives. So very good

Tiny portion of lamb, 4 pieces, which considering the price was disappointing. Chicken kebabs were dry. 1st time we ordered the Balaklava but it wasn't ready so they gave us 11 dollar two bite brownies from superstore instead. Second time we ordered Balaklava but it was rolled instead of a square? It was covered with cheap fake sugary strawberry sauce instead of the normal sauce, not as advertised on the website.

Excellent Food and fast service. We sat outside on the patio and had a great time. We will be back. Thank you.

I've ordered from Lemon Tree a few times now, and everytime I'm blown away by the wonderful flavours and how delicious and fresh everything is. This time, I requested to add an extra babagannush to my order, and they threw in the extra babaganush, and didn't charge me for it. Such a sweet gesture! Looking forward to expanding and trying new and exciting dishes next time!

Service:
Friendly and polite staffs. Their location is great. Table and chairs were clean. The outside plastic tables and short chairs were not something expected to see in a restaurant! (might be acceptable in a fast food).

Food:
The lemon juice starter was great. I'm usually ok with salty foods, but here I've tried three different dishes and all of them were too salty, I should say too much salty. The only reason I found that the restaurants are serving salty foods is they are not using fresh ingredients, specifically the meats, but I'm not sure about this restaurant. Moreover, the served portions were too small. Lamb kebab came with 4 Small pieces of meat but in the menu they mentioned that it comes with Large pieces. I have take two full breads with my food but was not even 75% full at the end.

Price:
Really expensive and not valuable on what you served.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Hands down some of the best food I have eaten anywhere. You cannot go wrong with the chicken kebab combo, and the folks who run the place are so friendly, and kind. Every time we go it is such a treat!

Enjoyed a lunch there on the patio. Food was excellent and a very family atmosphere which I loved.

This place is fantastic. One of the best in person dining experiences we have ever had! They treat you like gold, give you a free appetizer plate, and free lemonade. The food fresh off their charcoal grill tasted perfect and although we had eaten here before with takeout, the in person dining was the experience on its own. 10/10,2 thumbs up, 5 stars, and more. Will be back for sure, hopefully sooner rather than later! Thanks so much

Excellent meal on the patio tonight if you ignored the chilly weather. Grilled chicken and lamb were both excellent, as were the vegetarian options.

Delicious food! Lamb tandir combo was very flavourful and a big plate of food, highly recommend it. My family liked the lamb stew and chicken skewers as well. Also love the free lemonade, it's a nice touch.
Value for food is good, and I've been here 3 times, loves it every time, especially their high value lunch special

Our service was perfect in Lemon Tree Restaurant today and it was wondeful and busy on a glorious day! I had their fantastic Quinoa Salad with Lamb sitting at one of their front window table bathed in sunshine!

This is such a hidden gem. Great for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Food is always fresh and service is wonderful.

A very disappointing experience with the Halifax branch, not sure how they got so high reviews (I can just guess.). It's totally not comparable with the Bedford location that got from us 5 stars.
Service was good, but the food wasn't at all.the Lamb was too salted with too much spices, we even couldn't tell if it's lamb or beef.
The only option that goes with the lamb is rice that was tasteless and moreover, it came in a little portion kind of a sample.
It was by far the worse Turkish/Middle-eastern food we had in HRM.
Not sure if I'm willing to eat there even for free.

PS: Even the Lemonade had too much sugar in it,
I'm sorry that I didn't read the latest reviews before going there
