Let's Ko

I couldn't even wait to leave the restaurant to rave about this place! Staff are all welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The prices are super reasonable too!
Food was bursting with flavour and fresh. This was our first visit and it certainly won't be our last! Our new go to spot

As we arrived at the restaurant all tables were ocupied. We were told to wait a few minutes for a table. The first table available was the one closed to the entrance and with a big fan on above. While the waiter was cleanning the table a boot table became available. I asked politely if we could have the boot table instead. The girl told me that we could but we should be seated at that first table until she would clean the boot table, and so we did. Once the boot table was cleaned she told us that we should remain at the first table because other people were waiting. I insisted to get boot table and she caved in and told us we could move tables.
Four tables became available almost at the same time and there were all ocupied with waiting customers. We ended up waiting a long time to order and to get the food. All the other customers who came after us were finishing their meal while we were just getting to order ours.
After we eat and she came to bring the bill, I asked her why she made us wait longer. She pretty much told us the reason was because we asked to change the table and although we were first to arrived, we lost our priority since we asked to move tables.
Over all the food was okay but the server's attitude was awful. She ruined our lunch.

First time there, getting takeout for my son and myself. Wasn't sure what to order but the young lady was very informative and helpful. Only 2nd time for me to order sushi so was a bit lost. Anyhow, she suggested the Combo 1 which I must say was terrific.
Will certainly be back

Sorry it took me a bit to add my first trip in to eat in the restaurant. Went in for my birthday (Sep 18) and everyone was so nice. Made for a very warm and pleasant meal. Again, food was great. 2nd pic was what I ordered.

I have a wonderful meal at this restaurant. We got a lunch box mine was spicy pork which had a lot of food along with soup. Waitstaff was wonderful and reasonably priced.

I lived in Korea for 18 years, and at least some of the food here is not authentic. One of the amazing things about dining in a Korean restaurant is the side dishes accompanying the meal. In Korea, they are called Banchan. I am not joking when I say that having 10 to 15 banchan with a meal is not unusual. I noticed that banchan/side dishes were not mentioned on the menu. When I asked if we would be provided kimchi with our meal I was quickly informed no. "It takes too long to make Kimchi. "

The food tasted okay. Sadly, this was not the Korean experience I envisioned. I will not be back.

Staffs are always friendly, foods are great, and there's ample parking. If you want to try Korean dishes, this is the place to go.

I visited this place because I heard that jjajangmyeon and jjamppong are delicious. It was really delicious. Others said sushi is more delicious. I'll try sushi next time.

Beautiful, comfortable restaurant. My favorite meal has to be the spicy deep fried chicken Be Bap. Just enough spice, but not too overpowering, and it's a decent size for the price. My favorite lunch special is the spicy pork. For $14.90 you get their signature Miso soup (best I had.has a nice smokey flavour) your main dish which is whatever meat you choose ontop of rice, with a choice of sushi (California is your option.its good) vegetable dumplings (also good) or vegetable tempura (it was the eggplant that turned me off) and their in-house salad with their own dressing which is like an orange ginger. Delicious. Their sushi selection isn't bad either, and I'm picky about where I get my sushi. All the staff are very nice and sweet, and check up on you every so often, but not annoyingly too much like some places. I recommend this place to everyone I know that likes a good Korean dish!

Went for supper and I have to agree with other commenters. This place is awesome!
I had a spicy Korean seafood soup…perfection. My wife had the beef bulgogi…excellent. We also had an order of spicy tuna roll sushi which was very tasty.
Nice decor, good prices and our waitress Bella was a sweetheart.
Try this place, you’ll like it

Love their food! Very good quality ingredients and always arrives fresh! The only small thing I would say is a little bit more soy sauce with your take out order would be good:)

The food and the service here is amazing. The staff is really nice and the food quantities are big and worth the price.

Great Korean food! We wanted to try the sushi out but we're in a little later than we should have been and they had no sushi rice left.so we will come back another time!

Decided to try it on a recommendation from my son’s co-worker, did not disappoint. Having never tried Let’s Ko before, the pleasant server was helpful in pointing out some dishes for us to try. Beef bulgogi was especially good. Price was very reasonable, and everything was ready when they said it would be (take out order). Looking forward to eating in and trying the bibimbap.

Really great place for Korean and Japanese food! Service was fast and it was nice and quiet. Food was amazing and came very quick!

We’ve eaten here several times, eat-in and take-out. It’s always great and the staff are always so friendly.

Their sushi is great quality and their Korean cuisine is delicious as well. We love the bibimbap bowls!

Loved the food, the service.menu is reasonably priced. The menu is very imaginative. We liked this place so much.that we ate there 3 days in a row. Every time tried something new on the menu and every item was fantastic. Will visit again. Reviewed by the guy wearing the bright green shirt. Highly recommend.

If you're not familiar with Korean food, this is a wonderful place to start! Some of the best local sushi without needing to break the bank or go downtown-and the tastiest bibimbap I've tried so far in Halifax! Their soy sauce is made in house and it's absolutely excellent. Incredibly friendly and kind staff. Very clean, relaxing atmosphere inside.

By far the best restaurant in the Sackville area. While the service isn't always the best, the food is outstanding. We go at least 3 times a month.

My new favourite place! I have tried many menu items and have not been disappointed.
My favourites are Seafood Soon Tofu soup and Bulgogi Beef BBQ, but I have also enjoyed the lunch specials and Bibimbap.

Not only was this some of the best sushi and Bibimbap I’ve had but is was surprisingly reasonably priced. I would have paid much more for the quality and service I received at Let’s Ko. We’ll definitely be back, again and again!

I love this place! I go here at least 3x a month. Great service. Great food. Would love an all you can eat menu because I love everything they make there.

Best sushi we’ve had in Halifax. The quality of the ingredients is tops. Superb service, a bit slow but it was busy. Clean. Good amount of wasabi (which was true wasabi and not watered down) and good ginger. The Korean dishes are excellent as well.

It was too hot to cook at home tonight so I thought we would go out and try something different. We decided to give Let's Ko a try.

Quite honestly I am very torn on how to rate my experience there. If I could I would rate it as a 3.5/5 based on our experience but I will give the benefit of the doubt and round up to 4 stars.

The restaurant was clean, and the people were very friendly. The menu looked good and had reasonable prices as well. This was our first time there so we were trying to figure out what we wanted to try. Our waitress was friendly but seemed quite impatient to take our order so it felt like we were being rushed.

We ordered pan fried dumplings for an appetizer. I ordered a sushi platter and my wife ordered bibimbap. My daughter ordered the BBQ eel and Alaska roll combo. My dinner was served with Mizo soup, and a side salad which was fresh and had a mild flavour. Regarding the salad I received, it was almost like the sauce was out in the bowl first then the greens added on top. The dressing was really delicious but I could barely taste it until I got to the bottom of the salad. The Mizo soup was very tasty but there was very little tofu in it. What tofu was in it was very small pieces and not many of them or at least I didn't get many.

I am not sure if it's the normal thing they do in this restaurant or not but we did not receive plates for the appetizer. We just picked straight off the platter and ate which I thought was quite interesting.

The egg on my wife's bibimbap had small purpleish dots on the bottom of it when she flipped it over, and was well done which is normally served with a soft yolk. When she asked what the purple dots were, she was she was told it was colour from the food which was odd so she asked if she could have another egg over easy. The waitress returned with a sunny side up egg that was slightly undercooked (i.e. The egg white was still a little gel like). The waitress advised us to let them know the next time, how she wanted her egg when she ordered. My wife orders bibimbap a lot and it's always been the same. Just a recommendation to the waitress, when you take an order and it has an egg on top, you might want to consider asking the customer how they want their egg on top cooked. The customer does not know how you cook it especially when it is their first time there.

I will say the waitress was very attentive, and very pleasant. The restaurant was cozy and had a nice decor/atmosphere. Honestly, I think this restaurant has a lot of potential and we did feel welcomed there which was nice. I do have to admit that based on the reviews I read I was a little disappointed overall but I would still recommend giving this place a try as our experience could have been a one off.

All of these factors considered I really struggled with this rating as I was very torn.

I absolutely love this place and we go regularly (once a week). Food is fresh, menu varied, sushi excellent, service great, prices really good. I didn't know much about Korean food until I went there, so I've tried a lot of different things from the menu pretty much at random. Some I liked more than others of course, but ALL were good, fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. If your haven't been, do try it - I'm sure you'll go back.

A local gem of a restaurant. They serve sushi and some Korean faire. I ordered the seafood gan jjajang which came with pickled radishes, and it was delicious. Service was also prompt and the waiters were super friendly.

First time trying sushi from Let's Ko, and I was satisfied! Being pregnant, it isn't always easy to find good and safe options for sushi, so I was impressed with their selection. Many of the rolls were a bit on the sweeter side where I prefer savoury, but all in all, it was delicious.

Great food, and amazing service delivery. Ordered through skip, they were missing a menu item for a side of rice, asked for it to be added to my order in a note, they added it free of charge, then also added it to their skip menu afterwards. Sushi was fresh, the Korean dishes were great, and generally they are pretty fast.

Best sushi in HRM! Always consistently great, just never disappoints. Also…really accommodating and friendly staff.

The food here is unbelievably good! Their ramen is perfect, not like other places with boring broth and overcooked noodles. Sushi is great and next time, I’ll try their Korean food. See you next week!

Our go to restaurant every Friday. Great variety of sushi for anyone’s liking. The ko-ko chicken is so delicious. I am grateful that most staff chose to keep wearing a mask and so do we. Covid isn’t gone and as a person with underlining conditions, I appreciate you.

Love their food and amazing service every time we go there. The homemade soy sauce, the makis (especially the Let’s Love tray) and their jjamppong are our favorite items!

If you like authentic Japanese&Korean food in Halifax, this place is a MUST TRY.
