LF Bakery

Other than hearing about LF Bakery's racism, I too have faced absolute garbage customer service at this business. I once called them on the phone in the morning to ask if they still had some baguettes and the person answering the phone rudely said nothing but "You'll just have to stand in line like everyone else! ". As if that's a reasonable response to a simple question over the phone.

Highly recommend avoiding this place. I expect whatever response they put up to this review to be the same type of lowbrow non-answer.

Nice bakery with various things to try. I didn't enjoy blueberry tart but almond, chocolate croissants were crispy and delicious. You gotta to adjust coffee yourself with milk, cream, sugar there to your own taste and veg.milk is not extra charged - big plus.
There are few places to sit, just around 6 tables and the place it pretty plain itself, so don't expect to have a nice view or nice photos, it is a place which won't please esthetic souls. I wish ladies room was more accessible to wash hands before your meal, but it is locked and you gotta take the key at the checkout, that's weird.

My experience was 5 star. The staff was very accommodating. The selections were wonderful, so I proceeded to get several for my morning breakfast. The pecan maple pastries mini-pie, the blueberry beignet, and the apple tarte. Awesome! Coffee was delicious! Enjoyed the experience on the outside deck patio. They sell out early everyday. Highly recommend. I ate everyone of the items by myself while at LF.

I really like LF bakery pastries. Unfortunately its been many times that I have experienced very bad service by their stuff members. They are extremely rude to people of color other than white people, I know I hate to say it. It happens to me to my brother and couple of my friends. Almost everytime I go there I am not being greeted the same as others, they don't say hi back to me, they all stair at me and laugh, they almost make funny of me when I pronounce their pastries. They almost don't even communicate with me. Anyway i hope one day they treat everyone equally with respect.

I really enjoyed the Zaataar Croissant with my French Roasted Cappucino.
Arrive early as the lineups can be long.
Bakery is understaffed so expect service delays!

Phenomenal pastry and coffee. Often very busy with a significant line-up, as a result.

Worth pickuping a good selection of things or timing when you go.

The croissants, macarons, to die for.

Authentic French patisserie with the best baked goods in the area. I will certainly be back and often!

High quality and delicious pastries, and very reasonably priced. We wish we had picked up a few more on the way back to Toronto - but are glad we at least have a baguette going home with us!

Really great baked goods but the way the employees working the counter look at you, and then the receipt, when you don't tip 15% for them to place bread into a paper bag and hand it to you, is kind of wack.

LF is a staple of Halifax! Consistently high quality and SO GOOD. I would recommend you get the hazelnut beignet, but I actually want them all for myself.

Great food, great staff, great patio in the summer. Amazing baked goods. Worth every penny!

Our favorite bakery! Bread, brioche, croissants, hazelnut spead are all fantastic. My partner loves the pizza they have on thursday and fridays too.

I LOVE the baked goods, pastries, and coffee here! Staff are overall friendly and efficient, but this is the 3rd time I have ordered something and they gave me the wrong item -twice ordering a ham and cheese croissant and receiving a cheese croissant (which cost less) and this time I ordered a mushroom quiche and got the broccoli. Luckily the items were delicious but maybe there are some labelling issues or something which need to be remedied here?

I loved the Regular Croissant here. It was just so delicious and also fulfilling quantity wise. You can get Almond Croissant, Coconut Croissant, Chocolate Croissant and Sesame Croissant. It has a lot of other breads to offer.
You can also grab a simple latte and enjoy it with croissant. The customer service is totally comforting, they are there to help with all your questions if you are new to French baking. The ambience gives a cute coffee shop vibe. If you are in Halifax, it's a must visit!

World-class baked goods, and are taking COVID situation seriously. Beignets are fantastic but also the palmiers and of course the croissants. The coconut croissants are unreal, but really everything here is amazing. Service is a little meh sometimes because they're overwhelmed with orders and sometimes are short with people, but really you're here for the bakery and it is world -class

What a lovely spot! Smells and feels exactly like a bakery should. The staff are friendly and cheery and the caprese sandwich was delicious! I will definitely be back to try the other goodies.
