I had the worst customer service experience ever with Life Salon Spa in Bedford. I had booked a service for myself and a friend online. The day before our appointment, there was a forecast for a storm which included sleet/ice. As such, I called the night before to reschedule as my friend had a bit of a drive. I was told that, despite the forecasted storm, I would be charged 50% of both services as per their cancellation policy. I explained that I understood why the policy was in place, but surely they were able to provide a little latitude under certain circumstances. The manager stated that she had no latitude, that the owner was strict about the policy. I then asked for the owner's contact info and was told that they lived outside the country and were unreachable. Please know that if you book with Life Salon Spa, there is no room for extenuating circumstances outside of your control within their policy, and you will pay a significant fee.

As always amazing - staff super attentive to get you settled in. I love love love the Aveda products and the scalp massage is THE BEST. Thanks Peter and team

Everything was fine.
I think it's important to be transparent with how much you're going to charge and show exactly what your client is paying for. On the website I saw a 1/2 head of foils and a blow out would be between 108$-164$
roughly but adding a trim brought it to $278 without a tip, how does a trim cost someone with extremely fine hair $100? So $300 for 1/2 head of foil, she blow dried my hair and added volume. I wouldn’t have even bothered with the colour had I known the cost of the trim. I still don’t even know what they were trying to charge me for.
Once the stylist went out back I voiced my concerns and they were great about fixing the issue at the end.
I did ask in the chair what the change of price would be but was not given an actual price. I even mentioned I was budgeting for it, as to why I was asking how much it would be to add the trim, which is an obvious thing since prices are so high right now everywhere. To make that jump to $278 was not what i originally thought. At the end of the day the girls at the desk were super
accommodating and understood. I certainly will be making sure exactly what to expect if I book again!
Also will be asking for a receipt to see exactly what I paid for. It seemed a bit odd, I felt tension between some of the front desk receptionist and the stylists.
I was giving 4 stars because the job and experience was nice. Up until the end it really made me feel bad I’m changing my review to 3 stars: (

Ikeyah is professional and does an amazing job on my lash extensions! Easy to talk to and makes you comfortable!

I always love my pedicure experience with Ikeyah. She is a very skilled aesthetician. Her warmth and professionalism makes the visit awesome every time!

My massage with Jenn today was amazing! Honestly it was one of the best massages I have ever had.

Irene is my favourite! She’s highly skilled and knows her stuff. If you want an amazing shampoo make sure to book with her! I’ve been a customer for almost a year now and won’t book with anyone else (if I can help it).

Wonderful experience, Ikeyah went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had a positive experience. I will definitely book with her again!

Maria was excellent - friendly, professional, and did a great job on my hair. Salon in general was very inviting and comfortable. Would absolutely return in the future.

Once again a fantastic haircut and a wonderful conversation. So happy with the salon, and Kristen. Everyone at the reception is very welcoming as well.

As always, Raeah is perfection. My only complaint would be wanting to stay awake and chat with her but she puts me to sleep with her technique!

3 days ago I was there for do the highlights on my hair. I asked her to do that as light as she can and she showed me a colour she can do at first then after 5 hours being there and do the bleaching and toner nothing much happened. It was better before toner you could find the highlights but after she applied toner all the highlights gone. Before she started I told her my purpose to do highlights is hiding and blending my white hairs. She found out I’m not happy with that but told me get another appointment to do again and again for light highlights. I told her I barely can find my highlights. I am really upset to waste my time and money and bleaching my hair for nothing. I just can find my white hairs and Nobody even notice I did the highlights.

I highly recommend Samantha.
It was a perfect experience. Quick and easy.
I will definitely be back to see her!

Samantha is my go to for my manis and pedis. She does an amazing job and is such a wonderful person to be around. The staff are always courteous and friendly and I love their tea. I highly recommend Samantha and Life Salon.

Today was an amazing day at Life Salon Spa. I had the most relaxing facial and my face is so soft and smooth. If I could give the experience more than a 5 star, I definitely would!

If you have curly hair, you must go see Donna! She is a legit expert and my hair has never looked better. It's so hard when you move to a new city to find a curly-hair specialist and Donna is the real deal! I love her personality and our conversations always make me feel great, I always leave feeling amazing:)

I was attending a wedding and needed a hair and makeup appointment, during busy prom season which was making it difficult to find a place to have both done. Tamika was the receptionist I spoke to and she was absolutely lovely. She went out of her way to call the makeup artist and see if she could adjust her schedule to accommodate. The hair stylist Emily was amazing, made me feel comfortable and did a beautiful updo and the makeup artist (can’t remember her name) was very sweet, gave her honest opinions and recommendation and created a very natural but glamorous look for me. The salon was clean and modern, lots of parking available. All around an amazing experience. Will be back for sure!

My feet feel absolutely amazing. The only complaint I have is that the lovely lady who performed my treatment is moving out west and I won't be able to to return to her. Best of luck on your move!

This spa is stunning and has so many wonderful touches. From the warm neck wraps, blankets, to custom teas they really think of everything. The desk girls are inviting and Nadine is the best aesthetician ever!

My manicure was a very nice experience, she did a great job! The only negative was that my shellac began completely peeling off after five days…I’ve never had that happen with shellac before so a bit disappointing that it didn’t last.

My service was wonderful. I felt very relaxed and my skin is glowing. I had a facial and dermaplaning. The staff were all very pleasant and attentive.

Maria was a very attentive listener to how I envisioned my hair styled and was very good at offering her own professional advice as well. Maria is a great conversationalist and puts you at ease the moment you sit down in the chair. Looking forward to my next visit with this outstanding hair stylist.

Jen went above and beyond today for my lash lift/tint and brow wax. My brows came out perfect (thanks, too, for the tips on shaping them!), and for the first time I had a lash lift that didn't sting my eyes. The hand massage was wonderful too, and it'll be hard not to hold other spas to that standard:) Thanks for being so nice to chat with and for easing my "first visit back to a spa in a year" jitters. This is my hair salon but I decided to treat myself to a facial. Our current C-19 conditions are hard on my skin. Nadine was incredible! She provided customized guidance for my skin care and the most amazing massage additions to my treatment. I would highly recommend her services.

Eduardo is absolutely amazing with colour! He fixed my hair when I totally messed it up without having to bleach my whole head. In the end, my hair stayed healthy and I got the colour I wanted! He really knows his stuff! I am very picky and have a pretty high standard with my hair stylists, and haven’t always had the best luck, so I consider myself very lucky to have found him!

Rhea does excellent work and is a very caring and compassionate professional. She was able to reassure me about your protocols in regards to Covid and I really appreciate it. I think I should say long is her last name. Thank you again for the marvellous service Rhea Long

I'm always blown away by the difference a good set of brows can make on a face. All pics have no makeup and were within two weeks of each other, only change was the brows.

Just came out of a massage with Carly its was fantastic! So relaxing!
The only reason that it's 4 instead of 5 is because I've had massages with heated sheets that were super soft. Honestly thats all that was missing. Thanks again!
