We were visiting from the San Francisco Bay Area where there are lots of Indian restaurants so had high expectations and were not disappointed. This place is in a small strip mall on a main road across from the Walmart. Upon entering we were warmly greeted by our server and seated at a table with a tablecloth and small flowers. The menu is very complete with multiple vegetarian and non-vegetarian items offered. We chose a lentil dish which came with naan and was delicious. In addition to that we had butter chicken with butter naan and basmati rice and a very nice but thin raita. Everything was delicious and at a very reasonable price. You will not be disappointed if you dine here especially when you get the bill.

Little Chef The Indian Eatery made a great first impression on me. I highly recommend this restaurant! The food is delicious and the staff are always so welcoming, helpful and provide timely service. Looking forward to my next visit and trying more of their dishes!

The Goat curry was all bones and no goat ($18), The special Butter Chicken with the Garlic Nan had no chicken. Don't go near this place if you want value for money or good Indian food!

Caucasian person here. Asked the lady at the desk what's your hottest curry, recommends their goat curry, which is just the most expensive. Immediately walked out after realizing how they tried to play me.

I order Chole bhature and my experience was really really bad. Totally uncooked food no taste in it. I am not giving the reviews for refund but I will not recommend that to anyone.owner should look into it.

Food is always consistently great! Indian style chicken fried rice is my go-to dish to order. The guys who work there are always super friendly and always going above and beyond to make the experience positive for the customer. Please give them a try, you won’t be disappointed. I ordered veg noodles and chole Bhature and they gave me very less quantity it was expensive and taste really bad no spices, no veggies nothing just plain noodles worst food I ever had. Disappointing.

On our recent visit from Alberta, we were interested in trying some of the new restaurants now available in Sydney. We tried Little Chef with a few friends and family and were very pleased. So pleased, if fact, that we came back for supper with a different group of friends and family later the same week.
The food was excellent. Selecting the spice level allowed us to tailor the meal to the people we were with. We tried many different dishes over the course of the two meals and all were very tasty. The food was also well received even by those in our group who had not had Indian food prior.
The friendly and attentive service and general welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant was also appreciated.
A great meal and we will definitely return on our next visit to Sydney!

Their name is very suiting, Its a nice little cozy restaurant. Twice we went here for dinner while exploring cabot trail and area. Both the times we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. If you are looking for a true authentic indian taste, this is it. If I am ever back in the area, will surely be dropping by.

After 3 days of eating at various food joints in Sydney and around, we (a group of 8) were desperately craving for Indian food when our friend drove us to this little joint for breakfast. We ordered aloo paratha (mixed with onion and paneer). Once the first round of parathas were there we ordered the next one and then another and then a third one. I could not even take a picture. Everyone hogged it within minutes. The parathas were delicious, very soft, perfectly seasoned and stuffed. They were served hot, brushed with clarified butter on the top. They were pan fried yet so light on the stomach. A serving of yogurt and pickle on the side completed the meal. After the parathas we ordered tea. It was such a delight to have the indian tea after 5 days. Once we were done with the meal, the chef/owner of the restaurant Mr. Rajesh Bhatia was sweet enough to come outside and meet us. We ensured we let him know how much we loved his food. The service was very quick too. We were served by a sweet girl who was very patient with us.

The food was good but I am quite concerned about the cleanliness and hygiene. The place is managed by students so I wouldn't want to be too critical but they have to improve the hygiene. We were enjoying the food till I saw the chef and condition of his attire was appauling. We had some left over food packed. I thought about leaving it there as we were not going to eat that but I brought it home to bin it as I felt it be rude to leave that. I did have feedback to lovely girl on the desk. I also offered her to give feedback to chef myself but she was reassuring that she will pass on the feedback.

Wow. Better than Indian food in Toronto, Montréal, Vancouver, etc. Order the street food and any of the curries. Very flavourful and fair portions. The owner is a great guy too. Highly highly highly recommended.

Food was so so…. Service was really slow…we ordered starters and we got it after main course lol…. Visited this restaurant 1st time during my visit to Sydney…. Bad experience…. Food was expensive too …not worth the price

Great food, especially the tandoori chicken varieties and chicken tikka were exceptional. Kebab would have been better if it was a bit more flavoured and salted.

I think I found my go to place for indian food. Keep the dal makhani thick and the food high quality and I'll keep recommending you

Had visited last night, although no one was around, really disappointed on the tandoori rotis (those were just complete papad), quantity doesn't live upto the prices they've put up, place needs to improve, as it almost a year now since its opened, really need to look onto the competition as other places in sydney have also opened, you would need loyal customers, just sharing an honest opinion, please look into it

One of the best Indian meals we have had, and we've had a lot! The Samosa and Pakora to start were excellent but share a starter if you want to have an appetite for anything else. We had the Malai Kofta and Lamb Masala with Garlic Naan and Rice. Highly recommended.

We went for our dinner at this restaurant, the food was amazing. Customer service was great too. It will be our must stop on our next Cape Breton Trip.

Ordered a mild dish and got spicy. The portion had 8 pieces of lamb as I paid $20 for it. Super huge rip off. Nan bread was good though.

Ordered Veg Indian Thali with option to pick from variety of vegetarian curries. As always, the food was delicious.

Had a hard time finishing this entire plate by myself. Definitely, easy on pocket (15.99+tax). The best quality and quantity wise in town.

Delicious food I love there veg biryani, Missi roti, aloo puri and specially tandoori items such as paneer shashlik and tandoori roti.

We can Honestly say that Little Chef is on Par with the Greatest Indian Restaurants in Canada's Major Cities. Cape Breton finally has a GOOD Restaurant! We highly recommend their Butter Chicken with Butter Naan)

No words, i ate Indian cusines at swagath and Mians- but the taste of Indian chef restaurant is splendid, completely aromatic and the same is that of the taste. Hatts off to the awesome chef. ‍. In simple words loved it, this review is from heart for the team in there, making me happy with the food.

Food is ok, but pop comes in a very tiny glass and is priced at 1.99 I mean it’s so small you can finish it 1 sip. That is very over priced. It’s same size glass as people use in Indian tea stall.

On our way to visit Cape breton, we had meal at this little restaurant, the food was amazing the quality of food was excellent and customer service was great.i would recommend every one to visit this amazing restaurant.i will never forget this meal.

First time ever i went to an indian restaurant in Sydney and it was mah best experience ever with little chef. Me and my friends went their for dinner on my birthday and their way of greeting customers, serving the food and interior of the restaurant was fabulous. If you guys are missing indian food then must visit little chef.you gonna feel like your mum is making food for you (same taste as your home) must try their shahi paneer with laccha paratha? Thank God there is something better then other Indian Restaurants in sydney. We had supper there last night and we were glad everything has flavor. Service was excellent and food was good. I understand it's a new Restaurant and they are still working to make it better but few suggestions, pleasdo add salt n pepper Shakers on the tables, Tandoori Roti is delicious just need to b little more thick because when you service it's soft from the edges but crunchy from the middle. It should be little soft. When you are eating it, should remain soft rest of the Tandoori rotis. "Shahi Tukray" need attention because you can feel the oil in your mouth and should be dipped in rubbery not in the Sheera and breads edges should be removed otherwise it gets chewy. We are so happy with the service, food and parking. Just few things need to add and it will win the Asian community's heart. Definitely recommend to everyone.

When we go to sydney from all the way baddeck to eat Indian food we expect a delicious meal and now we know where to go for the best food.

Food is good no doubt but waiting time is tooo loong which make your food gets cold and all gets cold. Please hire someone for your busy hours.

Things worth mentioning: -
a) The owner/the gentleman who worked there on cash (07/12/2021, around 04: 00pm) was astonishing. He know how to keep a customer engaged if the food is getting late, how to treat a customer with care and affection.b) wonderful active selling skills. It just gelled with the chit.chat.c) had the boldness to suggest better options from a fellow combatant (was making a different point though)
