Great location. Some improvements for suggestion:

-Needs better internet, only 1-2 devices could use wifi at a time.
-need memory mattress toppers or something, mattresses are brutal.
-need more pans for cooking.
-excessive amount of bugs present indoors.

Would absolutely stay here again, we enjoyed our time!

Always a great experience staying at LLIT. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the views of the river valley can't be beat. The washroom facilities are impressively clean and there are hot showers. Amazing food at Fish Out Of Water Food Truck this year and I hope they're back next season.

We had the best week! Such a special place. Amazing views, close to all the beautiful spots in margaree, the tents were the perfect size and the bed was so comfy. We’ll be back next year for sure!

It was a great time however I enjoy the north side of the river better! More opportunities to stop and dip on the water

Did the 1100 an tubing run it was amazing highly recommended watch the water level but today is was really good.

The open space and view was lovely however, the washrooms are far from the Tents that we paid money for and there was limited hot water and pressure in the shower.
For that rate, it would be ideal to have additional washrooms and a facility to bathe.

Honestly.these guys are amazing. Beautiful spot with an UNREAL view.the staff are so accommodating an friendly.
Quiet time is 11pm but everyone seems to be asleep by then usually. But if you want i keep going they'll let you use the pick ic table In front of their sea can! 5/5 would definitely poop here again!

Super Fun! A fantastic float down a gem of a river. The Live Life In Tents crew were outstanding. We got our instructions, went 5 kms up the river to the put in and began our drift through an endless amount of riffles and pools. 2 hours of lovely scenery. Would definitely do it again.

We went on a day hike with Lee and had an awesome time. Went up two mountains and had a great lunch in Meat Cove.

My family and I absolutely loved tubing with Live Life In Tents! They had a great briefing conversation before and everything you needed to enjoy your float. My main recommendation is to leave your calendar open after! They don't control the river, so on a low flow day like ours it took about twice as long as expected.

Great experience for our family of 5. Beds were comfy, everything you need is provided including camp stove for heat. Check in/out was easy. Bathrooms are clean, scenery and surrounding are quiet and beautiful.

If you are a nature lover you will love this spot. From the view, to the activities available even to the outdoor solutions to compost washrooms and the outdoor showers. Yes they are enclosed. Lol but truly a great spot. Will definitely go back.

A great location for camping. Glamping tents are really nice and there is regular tent camping behind. Lots of activities like tubing, hiking, watercraft rental, etc.

I used Live Life in Tents for a tubing adventure in Margaree Forks and was not disappointed! My friend and I spent a wonderful two hours floating down the Margaree River. Even though it was pouring rain, it was 20 degrees and we had a great time. They were kind enough to let us borrow a couple of visi-vest jackets so we didn't freeze to death in our bathing suits. Would highly recommend! They gave us great dinner recommendations afterwards as well.

My French Canadian friend introduced me to this site. I love the idea of hiking in the Arcadian Old Growth Forest. I live in Oregon, USA so I love to hike and explore another part of the world. The hike included different terrains and vegetation. We crossed the river twice and climbed along the river banks. It was the just right challenge for me. Lee is a very thoughtful, knowledgeable and patient guide. He made great coffee, too. The waterfall was narrower since this is late summer. (September 2nd) We spent the night at #1. It was relaxing sleeping on the platform bed. It was luxury to not have to setup a tent. (I would recommend #4 for a better view to wake up to.). Cape Breton Island is very a true gem. Merci

Just finished a multi day wilderness trip with some help and outfitting from Live Life In Tents. I cannot say enough about the services provided to us by this company and crew. They truly went above and beyond to help us out. Whether you are into wild adventures or a relaxed day on the river, LLIT has what you need.

We stayed a night for camping and did river tubing. Super friendly and nice people. We enjoyed the lazy stroll down the river and the camp ground was clean and all you could ask for. We will definitely stay again!

I would do the River tubing here with Live Life in Tents again and again. We had a blast. After a few very busy days this was the perfect way to just chill and do nothing but enjoy the float. The staff were very friendly and It was very reasonably priced. It was perfect. I would recommend this for all ages.

It was a beautiful experience. Very fun! The staff were super helpful and kind. The price is so worth it. The time booked was pretty much right on the dot! The only thing I would suggest is, the life jackets definitely need to be cleaned. They smelled of mildew and they had black mold on them. Especially during covid, they should be sprayed after use, it was very unpleasant. And the hill that you climb at the very end, needs to be posted & people made aware because if you have a difficult time walking, its very hard.

Beautiful grubbed field camp site for tents. On site lumber honour system 5$. Free coffee in the am (delicious). Shuttle vans to Margaree river tubing if you have bundle deal save money. On-site shower and toilets. Communal covered activity building in the Center. Also glamping tents available. Will definitely be back for sure.

Two hours of nonstop laughter and fun! I cannot explain how relaxing the river rafting is, as soon as you are in your tube the cares of the world float away. The Live Life In Tents team was very professional and our driver was amazing, his name started with an I, Isaac or Isaiah. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!

Awesome! So much fun! We had a lot of laughs floating down the Margaree River. It was an experience we will never forget.

2nd time doing the river rafting this month. It was pouring rain and a bit chilly. That didn't matter at all, we had a blast. Excellent workers! My only suggestion would be to have the exit from the river a little safer.
We'll be back.

Stayed on the unserviced tenting sites for two nights. Beautiful views, friendly staff and clean facilities. We also did the river tubing. It was relaxing with beautiful views!

When bad weather forced a cancellation of our bachelorette tubing adventure, Lee and his team were quickly able to reschedule us for the following day. We had a wonderful time tubing the beautiful Margaree River. LLIT staff were efficient and organized. I highly recommend checking it out.

My husband & I took our kids for a first time experience. I must say, we all had a better time than we thought we would. Can not wait to go back again!

We went on the tubing ride down the Margaree River. This is a wonderful excursion - so peaceful to float down the river and watch the fish jumping and the eagles circling above. Lee and the rest of the crew were great and took care of everyone.

Friendly staff! They were generous and really down to earth. Even provided us with coffee in the mornings, gave awesome recommendations for hikes and places to check out! Would definitely recommend and will go back again

What can I say about this place? Lee and the crew are unbelievable. Super accommodating and professional. The campground is spotless and has the best view anywhere. Couple all that with music and food events and you have one of the best kept secrets on Cape Breton Island.

It’s always the perfect little getaway at Live Life in Tents. Great vibes, the kindest staff on site, Lee is excellent and you literally cannot get a better view in Margaree!

If you haven't done @livelifeintents Tubing in Margaree yet then you are missing out. After the Drive-in, this is my second favorite thing to do on this entire island.

I've been sad that I haven't gone down south this year but this gave me an absolute taste of an excursion, just as if I were chilling in Jamaica.

All of the staff are amazing, kind, and super helpful (I apologized for all of my back and forth emails.there were a lot). And the price? The price is right!

I will be back. This has been my favorite thing to do so far during our #staycation

There are a few details missing from the website. Check in time isn’t posted and how it’s first come first serve for campsites. We had to email asking multiple questions. Upon arrival staff weren’t sure where the wood that we ordered was, so they said they would contact the owner and our wood would be delivered to our site in the next little bit. A few hours later we sent an email asking where our wood was as we wanted to have a campfire and we were told that the hut was down the hill and we could go get it ourselves which we would have got hours ago had we know that. Tubing down the river was great but the staff weren’t ready when we got to the bottom of the river track and the rope was not out to grab onto to get out. When we got out of the water we had a rock wall to climb to get out which we were glad my mother wasn’t with us or she wouldn’t have been able to climb it. When we got to the top, the bus to take us back to our vehicles wasn’t there and we got eaten alive by horse flies while waiting. There were quite a few things we wished we had known before we picked this campground and the tubing.

We had the opportunity to go to their BBQ nite with the chef from The Bite House restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect! LLIT made us feel like old friends who were invited over for a bbq. Lee welcomed us, and many others, and took the time to chat with us about everything and anything. We walked the property to check out the tents and facilities. Definitely a laid back spot to camp at if ever in the area:) We then booked tubing on the Margaree a River for 2 days later. What a great time! They provide the transportation, life jackets, and tubes for floating. A very nice and relaxing float, which took about 2 hours. If ever in the area, you must check out LLIT. A great experience, with great Cape Breton hospitality!

We camped there last week for 4 nights and just had a great time. The staff is really friendly plus they are cool. We are looking forward to another trip there soon, maybe this year

What a place! Got there late Friday and left Sunday, the staff was amazing!
They have everything from showers to bathrooms to a place to clean dishes, wasnt expecting that.
At the check in they have free wifi too.
Highly highly recommend Live Life in Tents, plus the view in the morning when I woke up was breath taking.
The staff at Live Life in Tents also let me leave a Flybrary at the check in, so if your a fly angler, and fishing the Forks Pool, take a trip 1 minute up the road and stop in and check it out, and if you need a place to stay while at the flybray, book a spot!
