LOVUS Coffee & Tea

My favourite is the grilled pork chop that I order regularly. It’s tender and savoury. I have been trying to imitate it, but still not successful. I guess I will have to keep ordering from this place.

Not impressed.
My wife's meal was sent to the wrong table. So we watched each other eat. No attempt to make it right. Very poor service, food was passable.

So disappointed with our visit there. The food was quite good - a solid 4, but everything else was wrong. A couple who arrived at the same time as us had their food before we had our drinks (Italian sodas so nothing complicated). Our appetizer to share came with one plate and one set of utensils. As we were halfway through that my husband's meal arrived. He was going to wait, but I told him to eat while his was hot.

It's a good thing he did. After 10 minutes the owner realized my meal was given to another table. She didn't come to apologize or even acknowledge the error, but we overheard her tell the waitress of the error. A good 15 minutes later my meal arrived and the waitress placed it in front of my husband. She apologized but it didn't feel sincere.

When we paid I asked if we could have a discount since we weren't able to eat together and the waitress told me it wasn't possible. I would have been happy with a free soda.

Mistakes happen, but as soon as they realized my meal went to another table they should have been apologizing. As good as the food was, I don't know if I'll be able to get over such a terrible experience.

Absolutely adorable spot and delicious food! The mango tea drink really reminded me of living in Taiwan. We will be back!

We stumbled apon Lovus coffee in Truro and our drinks were much beyond our expectations. The warm Coconut macchiato was delicious and the Carmel Frapp was a fabulous sweet treat. Although our drinks were to-go, Angel still delivered our drinks to the table with a warm smile! Will not forget about this place.

This is a lovely café for a quick bite to eat and grab a few beverages (great bubble teas and lattes!) while reading or working on a laptop. I enjoy the pho broth and how hearty is like if you were having a meal at home.

I like how quiet it is during the day! The owners are very friendly and attentive.

From someone who grew up eating pho and have tried pho all along the way, this is by far the best pho in the region. Better than the shops in Halifax and Dartmouth. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. True Vietnam in the 90s feel to the restaurant.

With the pho, I had the spring rolls which were authentic in taste but the highlight was the egg coffee. Very much an authentic taste and smell.

Highly recommend this place for any passing travellers or local who want to enjoy a taste of true Vietnamese cuisine.

This is my favourite restaurant in Truro for lunch or dinner. The Pho is a flavourful, peppery broth rich with tender beef (excellent portions). The vermicelli bowl is sweet and savoury. Their coffee selections are all wonderful, and my children loved their flavoured drinks. The amazing phonograph vinyl playing Don Williams in the rustic, antique filled space - you’ll feel full and soothed all at once. Cannot recommend this place enough, a true Truro treasure.

The food was amazing and the people were so friendly especially Christina. She was so helpful and energetic. Definitely will come back.

Incredibly good Pho! And nice smiles from the owners and staff. And they have the wildest sound system I’ve ever seen in a restaurant... True audophile level

Stopped in here on a whim just passing through.
Sweet jazz flowing out of an amazing Dr Seuss styled sound system, followed by an even sweeter smiling waitress and amazing meal. Definitely worth the whims of passersby. Fantastic little family establishment with all the charm and taste to make it worth anyone's while. Best pho I ever had. And I don't fool with pho

The Phõ at LOVUS was the best meal I’ve eaten in Truro, the cold coffee was refreshing and the service was incredible. Music was relaxing and did not bother me at all. I fully encourage you to go eat there.
A go-to place, I will go back before the end of my stay.

A charming little restaurant that seems to be run by a husband and wife. Their menu is small, but their dishes taste very authentic.

If you have a chance stop by and give them a try.

The shop itself is cozy and relaxed, so you don't feel like you have to eat you food and get out asap. You go up to the counter the owner will give you a menu and you can choose where to sit

I'm not a big fan of spicy food, and fair warning the food is a bit spicy. That being said it was amazing! I got the taro frappuccino a sweet and creamy drink; with the Philo broth. While the broth has a small spice kick its nothing to crazy, and it paired well with my drink. The portions are also amazing for the price your paying

I stopped by this place by chance. As a Vietnamese living in Halifax, this is arguably one of the most authentic Vietnamese restaurants I’ve had by far. Southern flavors make a Ho Chi Minh city guy happy. 10/10 recommended! Both the food and drinks are amazing.
