The big plus is the proximity to the city. Within 10 minutes you can walk to this extremely beautiful place. Many campers were no longer there, but I can imagine that there is no privacy with full space.
The place isn't cordoned off either, there are a few who just drive through and stand in front of the camper for 5 minutes and watch - a bit creepy.
The showers are nice but not functional. With a child, flooding is inevitable.

The location is perfect for walking to town. Basic campground, but again the location was perfect and I appreciated that they were open later in the season.

The location cannot be beat, a few minutes walking or driving to the waterfront.
The service was kind of weird, the person who checked us in was very adamant that we recycle properly but then the recycling was in desperate need of being emptied and cleared as it was overflowing.
Very small lots, few fire pits, and one of the two shower stalls wasn't lockable (? !?) It was obvious someone had tried to make the washrooms nice but wasn't willing to spend a lot of money to do so and doesn't have a facilities person on-hand who will fix things quickly. Lots of potential but overall not too bad.

Smaller campground but ideally located and within walking distance to downtown. Great location that is one of a kind.

As all the other reviews state it's the location that's the draw for this campground. We were lucky and had a spot in the upper area that backed up to the hill with a beautiful view eastward.

Our site was W/E and gravel like all the others. We had decent spacing from other campers and a picnic table behind us. A lot of the other sites had very little room between campers. There are no fires permitted in the upper area. I used the washrooms twice and it was a bit of a mess from people showering. The dump station is in probably the worse areas I've ever seen. You based need to back into it.

Staff was courteous on check-in. There is no camp store here. Did not use the WIFI.

Downtown and the docks are a 10 minute walk and the hills coming and going are steep. It's a UNESCO Heritage site and the architecture of the buildings and homes is amazing. There's lots of shops to explore and restaurants. We spend a whole day there and came back for dinner.

Stuff nearby includes the Ovens (we did not go, but heard good things about it) and Mahone Bay (we drove through it)

This place is located in the city, which gives a big plus.the territory is not large, but there will be a place for many people.not much privacy, but at the same time, you have to remember that this is a city.there are showers, toilets, water.everything is convenient and comfortable.booked through the Internet, which makes rest more comfortable. I'm happy.the only downside is that not everyone has a place for a fireplace.

Close to town and restaurants. There's an upper and lower campground; the bathrooms and showers are located on the upper parking lot.

I heard a few people complain at the lack of wifi on the lower parking lot, but I didn't mind the spotty wifi access. I'm on vacation and wanted to be offline anyway.

I paid $39.73 (with tax) for 1 night. Check-in times are 10 am, and check-out times are 1 pm; or so I was told.

Très déçu nous étions ici pour la Fête du Canada il avait rien
Pas de foyer dans le haut plateau et deux douches pour tout le camping
Fausses représentation de la ville pour la fin de semaine du 1 juillet 2023

Close to town, good facilities, some more allowance for those travelling by tent would be good, (more shelter). Friendly staff in the office/info centre. If you come late they let you just pay in the morning. Not sure if there's a veiw too foggy

Location was really the only good thing about this park. We came here because it was suppose to have wifi. There wasn’t. We paid $55 for the privilege of being within walking distance of Lunenburg waterfront and hydro. Our site was uneven so we had to dig holes for one side of the camper van. The worse part was the attitude of the staff. They really didn’t care about much. When I said they would get a bad review he said “that’s okay”.

So the campground has often been rated badly, which I absolutely do not understand. This is a campground that is quite close to the city center, since there are no trees or separate plots, it is logical. The showers are better than on most campgrounds (rain shower)

We stayed here in an RV site in May 2023. The location is a nice short stroll from the waterfront, the staff was lovely, and the bathrooms were recently renovated and very clean. A lovely stay!
