Lunenburg Waterfront

The Lunenburg waterfront has been there long before you, and will be long after you.it's a bit of a touristy place in the summer which I avoid, but the fall and spring are lovely. It's a terrific view from the golf course and a great place to give a dory row a try.

Lots of cool places to eat and local crafts shops. Beautiful scenery and historic properties

I think we came in with expectations too high.

The waterfront is nice, but nothing special, and the Bluenose isn't parked there 24/7 so we missed seeing it while we were there. There's a good strip of restaurants on the main street and the people are friendly.

We didn't explore the rest of the town so perhaps we missed the main pieces.

Stop by if you have time.but I don't think I'd explicitly recommend it.

Lovely quaint seaport village with restaurants and shops that are fun to visit. Don't miss the opportunity to eat some great seafood.

Stunning waterfront with gorgeous views of the sail boats. The entire area is gorgeous to walk around but my favourite part was sitting in a muskoka chair by the water and reading in the sun.

Visit every year. The Bluenose happened to be in to Port at the time of our visit. Lots of unique shops in the area and great food as well. Our favorite is the Grand Banker because it overlooks the Harbour and the horse and carriage ride kiosk.

Beautiful waterfront. Lots to see and explore including museums, whale watching tours, sunset sailing, haunted walking tour, etc. Good restaurants right on waterfront. The town itself is so colorful and historic.

Great little village to visit during any excursion to the east coast. Numerous restaurants with patios overlooking the water.

OMG we lunched on the front line. There is an amazing view of colored houses, check the "blue bluenose 2" frigate, very interesting history of Halifax shipyards!

Hang out for a bit, have a bite, maybe the Bluenose will go by in full sail, it did for me!

Very hyped but it’s just a small waterfront with some shops. There are better places to be in Nova Scotia.

Went on a Friday afternoon. Very difficult to find street parking. Was a pay lot near the Bluenose II for a reasonable price. Went to the Lightside brewery across the harbour: good beers served by a very disinterested server. Walkable to the waterfront from there. Lots of eateries. Was an ok visit.

Beautiful old town. UNESCO site. Walk the waterfront and head up the hill to the next street as well for beautiful old homes and shops. Walk up to the Academy with a lovely large cemetery surrounding it. The harbor is lovely with lots of sailboats for photos.

Photo tip-drive around to the Blue Nose golf course for a gorgeous view of the waterfront across the bay.

Had a great club sandwich at the Salt Shaker restaurant, split it between 2 of us, added potato wedges and it was more than enough.

Museum available to help with history of the area. Ice cream shop next door. Cloudy day during this visit with some liquid sun intermittently didn't dampen the day.

Waterfront is very colorful lots of attractions and points of interest plenty of great restaurants and water activities like whale watch tours the sunset cruise is a wonderful way to end your day

One of my favorite places to visit for a quick getaway. An hours drive from Halifax, this beautiful town is a must visit. Home of the bluenose 2 schooner and a unesco heritage site the town offers a colorful waterfront, local artists, a wide range of restaurants and scenic views. There is also a golf course and loads of boating tours.
