Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting

This is the second time I've had to take my car to Maaco.
They're amazing, they take such care in your vehicle, I honestly don't think I could take my vehicle anywhere else now!

I had front bumper replaced recently. They gave reasonable price, had timing manner, and did perfect work. I recommend the body shop to everybody who need body work done.

After having 4 vehicles through the Halifax Maaco, I can say with confidence that Darrell and his team are the best in HRM. Their work is always flawless, but beyond this, they’ve given us advice and support through multiple repairs that has saved us a significant amount of money. My luck dictates we’ll likely have a vehicle get dinged again, but we won’t be taking the cars anywhere else - I’d recommend the Bayers Lake Maaco to anyone.

I was so impressed with the service! They even cleaned the inside and outside of my car which was quite dirty. The workers there are absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend these guys!

I'll start off by saying 10/10 for the repair job. They returned my vehicle promptly and it was restored to near perfect condition where the damage.

Mainly giving four stars because the service was great but unfortunately, I kept having to follow up to get replies to the point where I felt like I was being annoying. Not sure if they were super busy but I really wanted to do my repair with them as the team has done an amazing job with my vehicle before. Hopefully this was a one off but I ended up being slotted in sooner than I expected and the vehicle was returned exactly when they said it would be.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the result. They did a great job once again and I'll definitely recommend you bring your car here!

EDIT: Changed my review to a 5 because I just realized tonight that they cleaned my car! Did not realize that!

My husband and I have used Maaco several times in the past few years for cosmetic repairs to our vehicles. Each time the service has been great and the repairs have been done flawlessly. I would highly recommend Maaco Halifax to anyone looking for body work, interior upholstery repairs or just a fresh paint job.

Some tool decided to run into my truck while it was parked downtown and run away. The guys at Maaco fixed it like new. Delivered on time and were great on pricing. Extra bonus - the truck came back as clean inside and out as it left the factory. Their detailer (Fred I think) is a wizard!

I was looking for repair for a large amount of scratches, chips, and dents. I got 5 quotes from body shops and many suggested repainting the entire vehicle. Darrell at Halifax Maaco was the only one who offered to polish first and then see what needed to be painted. He was clear, up-front, and honest. He puts himself in the customers shoes when estimating work which is why I will (and already have) recommended Maaco in Halifax to friends and family. Thanks Darrell!

I felt pretty dumb when I scratched and dented the drivers side front fender backing up my GMC Sierra. Diving my truck off the lot at Maaco I'm feeling pretty smart now for choosing this shop to fix the damage. The work looks awesome, as if driving away from the dealership. The service was excellent, owner is friendly and honest. In fact, the estimate was comparable to other body shops, but Maaco included more work compared to their competitors. No cutting corners or band aid solutions here. The job was done right to make my vehicle as good as new. They even cleaned my interior! Very happy and satisfied. Thanks Darrell!

It was terrible they tried to rob me gave me a quote of over 1000.00 to fix something I can do at my home for about 100 trust me stay away from Macco

Maaco was the company that Volkswagen used to replace parts on my car that qualified for their rust warranty. There were a couple things that went wrong (not really the fault of Maaco), and when I was expecting my car back, Jeff, the owner, called and told me that it would not be finished. HOWEVER, this was when I received some of the best customer service! Jeff was empathetic to my situation and offered a solution right away to help me and keep me happy. Julia and Jeff both were fantastic to deal with. ALSO, the car looks fantastic. They even cleaned inside when they didn't have to! I couldn't be happier! If you need body repairs of any sort completed on your car, I definitely recommend Maaco in Bayer's Lake.

I had to bring my car in to have a really tough protective film removed from the front area, headlights and mirrors. They did a fantastic job. The owner and his staff went above and beyond what I could have asked for.was a difficult removal.amazing work. Thank you.

These guys were FANTASTIC i needed my bumper replaced and after being run around by another place Macco had me in Monday and my car was ready by Wednesday. The staff was AWESOME.they even cleaned the interior and did an amazing job on the exterior. Very HAPPY customer

Took my relatively new Subaru in to repair some deep paint scratches on the hood. (Likely caused by me clearing snow and ice with a snow brush that had a stone or staple embedded in it). Darrell met me at the shop at the appointed time and explained two options, both requiring a full repaint of the hood but one also would have them do some painting on the fenders to make any colour change less noticeable. He gave me no pressure and I chose the more expensive option, as he said that is what he would do if it was his car. He booked me in quickly, said it would take 2 or 3 days, and on day 3 I got a call the car was ready. The paint job is factory perfect. I cannot tell any difference in the colour - and like most new cars it is a complicated metallic paint. He met the estimate bang on ($922 taxes in). As an added bonus, his team completely detailed the inside of the car! That was a nice surprise.

The only negative thing was after I booked the appointment I got an email from Maaco cancelling it, then 3 other emails from Maaco confirming then cancelling; I emailed Darrell and he said ignore those, he had me booked in.

I recently brought my 99 4Runner here to have the fenders and trim painted as they were sun faded. The staff at Macco Halifax were extremely friendly and professional. The quality of work they did was exceptional and with my vehicle being so old there it was tricky sourcing some materials for the job but they problem-solved all that and provided me with options. Price wise, they were very competitive with other body shops in town and provided the lowest quote by approx $150.

I recently had to have my brand new car repaired after a tree branch fell on it, denting it pretty badly. After reading reviews online, I decided to bring my car to Maaco. The staff is very professional and friendly. They were able to fix my car in my budget, had a rental car for me there on site, and the finished repair looks fantastic! Like it never happened. They even cleaned it inside too! I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of repair.

These guys are amazing! My VW had warranty rust work that needed to be done. We realized that the warranty would only cover a small potion of the work that needed to be done. The remaining work was reasonably priced and they went the extra mile to fix a few dents and other issues they didn’t need to for no extra cost! Things also took a bit longer than expected and they helped cover the rental car cost. Really I can’t say enough great things about these guys. Trustworthy, kind and generous! Thank you so much for taking such good care of us!

2020 Dec 18 update. Need an exterior door painted, get it done at Maaco! Looks fantastic, thousands of colors to choose from, and it will last a very long time. Got ours done a beautiful red, and it looks awesome. Thanks for everything!

Impressive amounts of knowledge, great advice. Had a great work done on a dent in my hood, and now I find that they also paint doors (Home Depot doesn't paint doors red, go figure) but this place can do any color, but won't let you choose a bad color

I visited them recently. I had a dent at my rear bumper and they did provide great service as well as their repair is in pretty good quality shape. They fixed the dent and painted the bumper on time. I would definitely recommend them. ️

My dealings with Macco in Bayers Lake, Halifax was beyond amazing. The team are very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, on-time, outstanding work, excellent pricing, the list goes on and on. The owner, Mr. Darrell Mackay went above and beyond his requirements. He texted me pictures daily, called me and keep me informed, just so easy to deal with. He took all the stress off my shoulders and made my experience phenomenal. This group of people deserve a five star rating plus, plus, plus. I will recommend them to anyone, their workmanship and how they treat people goes above and beyond any business I've ever dealt with.

Amazing service and work! I hit my Chevy Cruze up against a pole in a parking garage. The place my insurance sent me to quoted me at $2,800! Went to Macco and it was half the price! Couldn’t be more happy. Brought the car in the week after and was ready within 3 days.

I couldn’t suggest this place enough! Don’t go anywhere else, go to Macco!

The guys there went above and beyond after I hit a deer on the 101. The insurance company wasn’t so great but this isn’t a review regarding them. Would always recommend these guys at this Maaco first.

One of the terrible customer service I had at Maaco on ash lake ct. The initial estimate was fairly reasonable, and they were friendly before handing over my key fob, and that was the dead end. Honestly I was doubtful about the recent review of Fred Huff whose windshield was hell scratched, and now I totally believe Fred. They won't guarantee anything, and they don't even know when the repair will be done. If you don't have any other option than to choose Maaco, you'd better try Burnside Maaco. Ashlake guys didn't even say the pretentious thankyou while I was paying the final bill. What a total lack of customer satisfaction. I'm not gonna say their quality of repair job is terrible tho, I will NEVER choose this body shop again!

Did some research and found out that Maaco Hfx was rated very highly.
Dropped by in a Saturday morning and Darrell, owner operator, was meeting with clients. He took a look at my vehicle, quoted a price and then reduced it immediately. I liked that!
Promised a delivery time for the work to be completed and they delivered early! Your auto body tech even gave it a little extra touch up. Tks to your front desk lady who was superb with her communication during the process. Much appreciated. Upon review, all work was very professionally completed!
