Great customer experience overall. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, and products were great quality for the money. Will be a repeat customer for sure.

Nice garden centre with good quality flowers, herbs, greenery, soil, sod, etc.

Young man working was friendly, helpful and patient.

Great spot to buy plants and one of the only places in Metro where you can buy small amounts of crushed stone and crusher dust.

Usually visit this place a few times a summer. Topsoil, mulch, seed, plants, etc.
Friendly crew, good stock, good selection, and prices.

Good friendly folks and fair value. I needed a bit of grass sod at the last minute and they waited for me to get there before they closed. Thanks!

Unfortunately the spot is very expensive. The staff are usually quite friendly and try to help out, however you pay a lot more just for the convenience.

We've gotten our pumpkins here for the past few years. Love the selection and ease of purchase.

Went for crusher gravel. Shovelled my own bags. They recommend you fill a half bag as they are heavy. So I had a little less than half a bag & couldn't lift it. Buddy helped me.

Grass seed grade top soil I got was filled with rocks and sand, never had a problem with their staff but I feel like the management is cheap and always trying to cut corners

On June 6th, 2020 a trailer that I was using was hit by the inexperienced operator of the Bobcat while loading crusher dust. He did jump out and look at the fender but said nothing.

When I got home, I noticed that the welds on the fender had been broken and it was flapping around. I needed more crusher dust anyway, so when I returned I reported the incident to the young woman on the cash and she wrote down the information in the “black book” at the cash with my name and phone number. She told me there would be a call from the manager to deal with the damage.

There was NO CALL on Monday, so I went down on Tuesday morning and spoke with Dave (manager). He inspected the damage and said Mabou Gardens would pay for the repair. I suggested he get it fixed but he told me that he was too busy and if I would get it repaired, they would pay. Very amicable conversation.

I did get the trailer repaired and brought back the bill from a reputable welding shop in Burnside. Left with with Dave, he said the owner would call me. I asked for the owner’s number BUT HE WOULD NOT PROVIDE IT.

A week went by, no call. I returned to the Waverley Rd.location and was told that the Sawlers (business owners) would pay half. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

This could have been a positive story about a business accepting responsibility for damage done to a customer’s trailer, but instead it is about an owner who is in hiding and refusing to do the right thing.

BEWARE OF DEALING WITH PEOPLE LIKE THIS. THEY ARE DOING NOTHING TO EARN YOUR BUSINESS.

Although staff was friendly, they are very overpriced. Compared to other nurseries in the area.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good selection. Some items not the least expensive, but of very good quality.
