Bruh, soooo so dissapointed, the lady who served was MEAN, i mean reallyyy mean, the bacon was dry and over cooked, my table had some orders mixed, but like bruh.for this price? No.i did enjoy mt eggs benedecit, but no one els liked their food.dry potatos, 0 seasoning.and the rude waitress.just sad

(to the response u left earlier) so? I cant post review about my holidays during thanks giving now? Should i have went home instantly and posted? The exact type of " interesting " response i was expecting from your staff/ owners.since u are upset that i made a comment after season, i might as well add that 1. "no we cant substitute this with that", with an attiute (even tho it wasnt a big ask, i think it was bread to potatos or something that stupid.we wre made to feel like a burden). 2.no cutlery, no suger, when we asked, we were given those with an attitude. 3.u think either of the 5 people in our party has the nerve to say that we paid 30-50$ for a 0 quality brunch? No.if that doesnt suffice, look at the response i previously 4.the coffee was brewed probably yesterday? And how BLEND can u make the food? Like please?

We ate here 3 times during our 5-day stay-breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch and dinner were great. We loved the burgers. My husband liked his breakfast. I had the avocado toast and I think there were some bad spots in the avocado and so some of it didn't taste so good. The servers were all friendly and attentive. The place was bright and clean, but a little chilly. I had to keep my outer layer on, until I got something hot to drink.

Fastest service we’ve ever had at a restaurant. Food was great. Drinks were great. Will be back

We loved Main Street Restaurant. Ate there for breakfast and dinner 2 days in a row. Excellent location. Great prices. Best staff around. We were welcomed and fed well.

Tried their buttermilk chicken burger, veggie burger and Rotini pasta and everything was great. We also tried their cider and it was sooo good. Definitely try it. Their service good. Thank you for a lovely experience.

This restaurant was great for vegetarians. We had the kale bowl and Mediterranean bowl and they were both delicious! This was a rare treat for us to find something with so many vegetarian options in a small town.

We passed by to know if we could have a take out for 6pm. The lady said yes. When we called to order at 6pm, they told us that they don't do take out at this hour! So I would say bad service!

Nous avons tellement adoré notre passage au Main Street Restaurant lors d'un repas en après-midi après une longue randonnée que nous y sommes retournés le lendemain matin pour le brunch. Tout y est bon, des biscuits faits sur place à la chaudrée de fruits de mer. Mention spéciale à notre première serveuse tellement sympathique, Dawn, elle a contribué à notre coup de cœur.

The service was great (friendly and efficient) and the food was above average. They offer gluten free substitutions for limited items (bread, pasta, tortilla) for a charge, but have limited options for dairy free diet restrictions.

Great restaurant for a family meal. Lots of good dishes to choose from and fast and friendly service.

Our food was pretty good aside from the sides of rice and mashed potato which were both very dry. Our server was super inattentive and never cleared the table when things were finished or checked up on us. We needed more water and had to ask the server from the table next to us to bring us some. Overall an okay experience.

Had probably the best lobster roll I’ve had my entire trip. Looked pretty small but was filled with meat and had the perfect mayo to meat ratio. Do not miss this spot. Everything else including the salads are also really good. You won’t find better food on Cabot trail, except Au coin bakery. So these 2 spots are must visits on this trip.

Vegan review alert!

Their vegan burger is made in house and includes quinoa, beans, and tofu! Unfortunately all their buns have butter but they were willing to do a wrap or lettuce (I went with a lettuce wrap).

I also splurged and got their tempeh tacos! The tempeh is breaded, so I guess intended to be kind of like fish tacos. They provided vegan mayo on the side, and salsa.

All the food was great, and the service was good but a little slow (they were pretty busy this Tuesday in August). Their front parking is apparently somewhat tricky to get out of safely, since the restaurant is just around a bend in the road. May want to try backing in if possible or parking at an angle, and when leaving, back up with windows open to hear traffic and if space, back up onto the parking gravel below pulling onto the road. If you can get a spot further away from the patio it's probably a bit easier. I actually didn't find it too bad!

Overall a great experience, would recommend. (Also the condiments on the burger in the pic are my on doing, so don't judge their presentation!)

Very busy spot. We ate dinner here as well as breakfast a different day. Very family oriented and reasonable prices.

Got the Shrimp Taco, and it was amazing! The portion sizes were HUGE and the food was very tasty. Eating here was a great break from hours of driving and if I ever visit Cape Breton again, I'll definetely come here again.

Came here for breakfast and was disappointed. Over priced and not great quality for what we paid. My son got pancakes and it was suppose to come with fruit and whip cream, there was only two blueberries and a quarter of a strawberry with one squirt of whip cream. In comparison the day before we went to The Moose Cafe and it was delicious for half the price, my son got watermelon, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries etc. Our adult meals were charged 17$ for bacon and eggs, that price is ridiculous if the quality isn’t up to par. It was nothing fancy. Save yourself the money and go to the Moose Cafe for better quality food, lower prices, better view and service. The Moose even makes homemade bread, now that’s quality! The Main Street had nothing to entertain the kids, no exceptions or accommodations to the menu either.

We were traveling through and decided to stop and grab a coffee to go. I noticed the baked goods and picked up a 6 pack of Oatmeal raisin cookies and a 6 pack of white chocolate macadamia nut cookies as well as a chocolate marshmallow square (I can't remember the actual name).
Our order for 3 coffees, 2 packages of cookies and 1 square came to $32!
Our items were all fine, but not outstanding enough to justify that price tag!

Not good experience

This food was pretty solid initially, but things soon took a turn for the worse. One of the pastry bars made every member of our party seriously ill. If you go here, I would reccomend you avoid the dessert and stick to the actual food, which seemed to cause no issue.

Too expensive. 2 Coffee and 2 buns cost almost 20$. The owner reply doesnt make sense. I wouldnt complain paying 20$ for 2 good Coffee and 2buns if the quality was there. Sadly that wasnt good. The next days we went to the dancing moose. It was 15min longer than going here but a 1000× better.
